Pickled Fish Sichuan Style
Anna S.

Great service and ambiance! The restaurant feels very clean and simple. It's cute they have printed instructions on how to eat soup dumplings. The food was delicious we got - squid mala hotpot dry - pickled fish soup Szechuan style - crab and pork soup dumpling The soup dumplings were delicious with just the right amount of thickness for the skin wrappers - thin yet still strong enough to hold the soup and fillings. The squid mala dry hotpot we asked for it to be the least spicy since my partner can't eat spicy food. It was delicious but it was more sauce-y than usual for a dry pot dish. Their version is perfect for someone who likes this dish but can't eat spicy. The pickled fish soup was a miss for me. I was excited since it was the recommended dish. I did not like the garlic yellow soup mixed with peppercorn. There were also barely any pickled vegetables. The sour taste was good but paired strangely with the numbing peppercorn. I've had different variations of pickled fish/spicy fish fillet soup and this is definitely the strangest one I've had.

Great service , delicious wonton soup, pork soup dumplings and mala hot pot dishes ! Best Chinese food in the neighborhood . As authentic as it gets . I'm from Asia so take my word for it. If you want sugary sweet Asian American food do not go here!

Dan Dan Noodles

We ordered the Dan Dan noodles without pork and the pan fried noodles with shrimp. Noodles were quite average for the price paid. They taste the same as noodles you'd get from the corner Chinese restaurant. Cute, small, and clean restaurant in the area though

Great place for a quick bite to eat or to sit in and catch up with a friend/whomever! The restaurant has a clean aesthetic and the staff is welcoming. I loved the way the menu (drinks menu to be precise) tells you what the drinks pair well with on the menu. Great for the indecisive peeps (Thank you )! The pork soup dumplings were tasty. Flavorful and warmed me right up Thank you for a yummy bite!

Pissed they couldn't even do soy sauce noodles right. It wasn't even the right color! The ingredients are literally noodles and soy sauce and they forgot one of them. And they have the audacity to charge $17 for it. That ain't demure! The pork chive potstickers were ok. You get five sad ones and a weird potsticker sauce. Man, Noodle you gotta stay in your own Lane!

Rice Noodles Dan Style with Pork

Tried their Rice Noodles Dan Style with pork at their stand for Smorgasbord. The dish is reasonably priced (about $15) for the portion. The pork is slightly spicy and gives the bouncy noodles a nice glaze. I recommend adding extra hoisin so that each noodle is packed with flavor. Great dish at an excellent stand

Third time is a charm! Third time we ate here and we were thoroughly impressed with the food and service. The food TASTES authentic, good Cantonese food, not American Chinese food (no General Tso chicken here, thank goodness). The kitchen looks so clean and delicious-I love the open window where you can watch dumplings being made...from freshly made dough and mounds of delicious filling. We got the chili fish (HUGE POT of fish and tongue-numbing Szechuan peppers). That dish alone is 10 STARS! The house fried rice is legit. The dumplings are made from scratch and just delightful. I'd skip the basic beef broccoli and other typical fast food dishes. There's so many delicious and authentic dishes to enjoy, don't you waste your calories on common dishes.

Noodle lane has good soup dumplings but they are pricey. The skin is sturdy yet thin and flavor is good. The pickled fish and mapo tofu were delicious, can be more spicy. Got a lunch special of beef and string beans which was mostly rice so I don't recommend getting them maybe. Get their more traditional Chinese dishes. Also discounts for NYP workers.

Unfortunately our food-- noodles and green beans was just "meh". It lacked flavor and was not to our expectations.

I asked to sub rice for noodles because one of my kids is a rice pot (can't go without rice) and requested extra sauce, which they kindly provided. The set meals are a fantastic deal; a full size entree, an appetizer and a drink for $19-20. An extra order of noodles is $2.50 and it's really double the amount of noodles that comes in your entree. I also ordered their new dish with has abalone and sea cucumber; this is not part of a set meal. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It has that umami sweetness that comes from a great soup base and the noodles are delicious as usual. The abalone was tender, the sea cucumber had a bite to it. There was fish maw and wood ear in there as well.

I've tried the fish maw soup rice noodles, and the tom yum soup noodles - both have good broth, but the tom yum was spicy and hot in temperature, so it was hard to eat it quickly. My mom tried the Chicken Fish Maw soup noodles and thought the chicken was not of the best quality, so I'd avoid that in the future. They have set meals that come with a side and drink, but those limit you to three options. I got sold on buying the gift cards to maximize spend, so I have a few more visits. I'm looking forward to trying the dry noodles because summer is just around the corner!

To start, I ordered their matcha lemonade, which was super refreshing with a well-balanced matcha flavor. We also had the cucumbers with onion dressing, and they were delicious -- the dressing paired perfectly with the crisp cucumbers. The fingerling potatoes were buttery and flavorful, and we also ordered the curry wings, which were very good. The curry flavor was subtle and paired really well with the parmesan cheese, giving them a savory depth without being overpowering. For my main, I had their steak ramen, which was a collaboration they were featuring at the time, and it's probably one of the best bowls of ramen I've ever had. The broth was incredibly flavorful, the steak was cooked perfectly, the egg was beautifully seasoned, and the shoestring potatoes added such a great crunch. I'm honestly going to be dreaming about that ramen. I'd highly recommend making a reservation. This place is absolutely worth it.

I tried the wontons in spicy peanut sauce. It was different because I'm use to chili wontons. The spicy peanut sauce wasn't spicy. The peanut sauce itself is pretty thick, so I would recommend dipping it in the accompanying dipping sauce to balance the flavors. I would try the spicy peanut wontons again. I also tried the pork soup dumplings, which took some time to cook. It arrives very hot, so give it some time to cool off, maybe 5-10 minutes. The soup dumplings were mid, maybe I would try the truffle soup dumplings if I came back. I love how the dumplings are made in house

It is a chaotic mess for the volume they are trying to do. It's not about adding more manpower, it's about streamlining. Tables are sitting empty while people are on the waitlist (not due to reservations), orders are going to the wrong tables, to-go orders are in disarray and have to be re-verified on multiple orders, and it takes a long time to get some water. The Yelp waitlist is useless here - wait was supposed to be 5-10 minutes and it turned into almost 40. All this could have been avoided with more planning, better organization, and training. Kitchen staff doing their job well. Front of house needs work.

One of the best bowls of noodles I had in any part of NYC. Comparable to my top favorite shops like Maxi's Noodle House, Golden Wonton King, and Sweet Wonton House. On my most recent visit, I watched the staff make some of their plump and juicy wontons. They use such a high ratio of shrimp to pork, which makes them absolutely delicious. I can't get enough of them. With that said, their beef brisket and noodles are no slouches. That's why I got a bowl of Wonton & Beef Brisket Noodle Soup to be able to taste everything I enjoy the most here. I'll be back asap. Btw, buy the wontons frozen and enjoy them at home.
