Brought us water immediately, very knowledgeable about the menu, attentive and very sweet. As for the food, I was very pleasantly surprised. We ordered the Artisan Pretzel. It was absolutely delicious. Perfectly salted and buttered. It was really fresh and perfect sharing size. We also ordered the signature patty melt. It was also really good. The burger patty was very well seasoned. Just the right amount of cheese. It comes with white bread rather than the usual rye bread, which I didn't mind. The fries are not that spectacular but the rest of the food made up for it. We also got the cup of chili. Again, delicious. The chili is thick and very flavorful. Probably my favorite chili. Lastly, we got the kids mac-n-cheese and chicken tenders. Both, although fresh, were quite average. Nevertheless, I would definitely come back. I suspect they get quite busy on game nights and weekends. Parking here sorta sucks because it's expensive. Cheapest place to park is at the subway station but be prepared to walk uphill and/or take tram. Alternatively, you can pay $30 for general parking, which is good if you're parking for the entire day. If you're only going for several hours, you're better off doing valet parking for $25. If you go to a sit down restaurant (not fast food), and this restaurant qualifies as a sit down, valet parking is reduced to $10 for 2.5 hours or $15 for 3.5 hours.

It's a one man show by the owner Jerry who's the cashier, waiter, cook and dishwasher! You pay first then wait for the food, they do not accept Apple pay and Amex. The food came out not too long after. The classic plant appetizers tasted like a less oily, less sinless but still tasty version of their original counterparts (such as the beancurd and seaweed). They also serve air-fried not so stinky tofu, the classic, without stinking up the whole block and retaining that 'stink' in the taste. We had the "beef" noodle soup (jackfruit) and minced "pork" rice (impossible meat) both were bomb!! Great takes on the classic all stars without all the oiliness while still retaining the flavors we know and love. Jerry also had us try their potstickers which were just veggies only without the veggie meat and they were refreshing. He had us try their dandan noodles and the sauce and noodles were perfection! Overall, my vegan friend and I (non-vegan but an Asian food enthusiast) had a great experience trying out the food and learning a more vegan perspective about them from Jerry.
