Came in here with my wife when I saw they were on the InKind app and I was glad I did!…read moreThe place has got a fun vibe inside, with painted murals, good music, and plenty of seating. When we came in, it was moderately busy, but we got our order in quickly. There is parking out front on the street that's plentiful...not sure if they have a parking lot or not nearby. This place is interesting because it does Mexican faves like tacos and burritos and some Peruvian classics like lomo saltado. When we saw that was on the menu, we had to get it. They give a generous portion and the flavor is great. The meat was tender and the sauces take everything to the next level. I am a sucker for a good lomo saltado, and they delivered! We'll be back! Happy to have this in the neighborhood.

I ordered the asada taco, and the smoky flavor from the grill really stood out. I also tried the al pastor taco, which was delicious, but my favorite was definitely the chicharrón taco. It was perfectly crispy, well-seasoned, and packed with flavor. Their guacamole was fresh and absolutely on point! My husband ordered the surf and turf burrito with asada and shrimp. It was well-seasoned, full of flavor, and the portion was so generous that he only finished half. The staff was friendly, the restaurant was clean, and the overall experience was excellent. We'll definitely be coming back!

I was looking for a taco spot with good reviews in the area and stumbled upon this gem of a taco…read morestand in the side of the road. These were truly the epitome of street tacos and absolutely nothing about the vibe, the service, and the FOOD, disappointed. Immediately upon arrival, I noticed the long line of people and said to myself, either this place is really good or really slow. It took me longer to decide what I wanted to try than what it took for the line to move and for it to be my turn to order. So yea, these folks are FAST and very courteous as well. They have real Al Pastor on the trompo (the spit) so of course I ordered pastor tacos and a pastor mulita. I also ordered a few SUADERO tacos which you don't find just anywhere. I am still raving about the amount of meat and flavor of the food here, it's insanely delicious. Once you get your food you make your way down to the end of the taco stand where you are met with an amazing array of fresh taco fixings and salsas. The pink creamy-habanero was the best and the green/red salsas followed right behind. I can't wait to go back to this place. It's mind blowing how a stand on the side of the road puts out better quality food than a brick/mortar taco shop..but these guys know exactly what they are doing and it was a pleasure to try their food. 20 out of 10 for this place.

I do like how they grill their meat though and they use the tortillas to scoop up the meat on the grill. Thought the al pastor was a bit salty and the cheese did not add much flavor to it, but that's probably a good thing considering the saltiness of the meat. Also, make sure you ask them for pineapples since they did not include it until we asked. They do have them sliced up in a container by the meats. Ambience is very casual and it's a stand while eating type of situation. Service was quick.

Really brings me no pleasure to do this, but this is my forth visit and it was such a step down…read morefrom the previous visits. End of the day, a $68 bill pre-tip for a less than genrous plate of ($16??) guac and 4 very small tacos with no rice or beans included and one draft Modelo is just unacceptable. The tacos were adequate, but unspectacular. 'Filet mignon' tacos were a single unchopped hunk of meat well flavored but so bare and small for 2x $22. The guac was too refrigerated, with not fully ripened avocado that resulted in an overly sweet taste and slightly firm texture that was unpleasant. Chips were also just not very good, and also not as far as I could tell complimentary. Service gets high marks for speed and efficiency, but felt super impersonal. Example, a server asked us how everything was while we were clearly just sitting there, not having tasted any of it waiting for some limes to arrive at the table. Just asked the question without surveying at all, and it was very performative and not genuine. Which is fine. I'm not at all mad at the servers, tough job but worth noting when noting the tip % options on the POS. End of the day I don't know if I'll be back or not. Everybody has an off day. But just about every aspect was less than stellar(draft beer was excellent) especially compared to three previous excellent visits. It's getting harder to justify going out for dinner, and at these prices, I would hope they could do a little better.

There is something special about walking into a restaurant and immediately feeling like the people…read moreworking there actually care that you came in. That was my experience at Poquito Más. Grace and Claudia set the tone from the moment I arrived. They were upbeat, personable, and genuinely engaging. What stood out was how naturally they connected with customers. There was no robotic "customer service" routine. They talked to people like human beings, paid attention, smiled, joked, and created an atmosphere that felt relaxed and welcoming. You can tell they have built real rapport with many of the customers who come through the door. I also want to recognize the people whose work may happen more behind the scenes. Juan Carlos and Solomon, the cooks, deserve a huge amount of credit. A restaurant can have wonderful front-of-house service, but none of that works without a strong kitchen. These two are part of the team making everything happen, and their work absolutely deserves to be acknowledged. The kitchen is demanding, fast-paced work, and having people back there who consistently keep things moving is essential. And then there is Javier, the busser, who is another important part of the experience. Bussers are sometimes overlooked, but they shouldn't be. Javier was attentive and constantly helping keep things clean, organized, and ready for customers. That kind of effort makes a noticeable difference in how a restaurant feels. What impressed me most was the teamwork. Grace, Claudia, Juan Carlos, Solomon, and Javier all have different responsibilities, but together they create the experience customers actually remember. You could see that this was not simply a group of employees performing separate jobs. There was a rhythm to the place and a sense that everyone was contributing. Restaurants are ultimately about people. You can have a great menu and a great location, but the staff determines whether customers feel like coming back. This team makes you want to come back. Thank you, Grace, Claudia, Juan Carlos, Solomon, and Javier. Your hard work does not go unnoticed.

I've been a customer for over 20 years at all surrounding area poquito mas, Studio city , Burbank,…read more former Noho location, even OC etc.. The food quality has been the Major reason why. The staff has been pretty consistent with good service in general. However, from time to time there tends to be an an employee or two to change the direction. In this case she said her name was Lilly at the studio location. I walked in after calling for over 10 min with no answer. It was about 9:15 pm no answer , I arrive about 9:25 pm. I hear liily telling everyone there is no Asada meat, no carnitas, nothing other than a little but of shrimp and maybe a little chicken. She was making the decision to slow down to close early and not have to make additional meals. In all the years I've been going to all locations no one has really done that. Service is always good and they are willing to prepare all meals till closing. That was very disappointing when an employee takes it upon themselves to play owner and decide what can be served and when to close. That really impacts the business without the awareness of ownership and maybe management. We don't need employees taking in business decisions like that.

Of course, I had to check Yelp first, and it looked promising, so we gave it a try. I decided to order tacos... a little shy moment. I got two asada, one chorizo, and one al pastor. I also loved that they came with grilled onions, little potatoes, and a grilled serrano pepper. There's a toppings bar with all the fixings, so don't miss the pickled onions, habaneros, and especially the red hot sauce it has some serious heat!
