This was our first time here and we will likely not return unless the place changes a bit. The biggest issue is about half the arcade games that you swipe your card at are broken and take money off the card but the game does not work. It happened so many times and on so many games we just gave up trying to get a refund or help. There is no hand sanitizer anywhere. The bathrooms have one working soap dispenser among 4 sinks. Kids under 4 feet tall cannot even sit in the passenger side of the bumper cars with an adult driving. Kids under 10 can't use the VR room. The only VR arcade game was not working properly. The place opens at 11 am and the restaurant does not open until 2pm. There is no coat room or coat racks. The redemption center has the shittiest little toys that broke immediately. We spent over $300 in less than 2.5 hours. read more

Nomads is a truly fun place for all ages. You'll be surprised by how packed the parking lot will get, yet the inside crowd won't be overwhelming. The lines aren't long and the attractions aren't crowded inside. The only thing my kids had to wait on was the laser tag and that wasn't a big deal. You just sign up for a time slot and keep yourself busy with all the other activities. Definitely sign up for Laser tag, my kids always choose at least 2 time slots if available. There is so much to do here there is not a way to ever get bored. My pictures to not give this fun zone justice. I also like their prize selection at the end. It's all on card so that great for the environment. The clerks are quick, friendly, and efficient. Prizes aren't too humdrum either. My youngest is age seven and my oldest is eighteen, and Everyone's thoroughly entertained the entire night at Nomads! The thing I most love about Nomads is you don't have to spend an arm and a leg to have fun with a significant group of kids. This is one of those places each kid can bring a friend and you won't have to dip into your retirement to pay for everyone's snacks :). Had a great day with the kids at Nomads. We were invited for a 30th birthday party. Lots of games. Tons of activities. Because of the party we did not have time for laser tag. I definitely want to return for that. Also love the basketball TicTacToe which I've played before. Could've sat there all day. The entire place was clean, the staff was friendly and plenty of room even on a weekend. My only criticism would be the food. They had a few different dishes and I was not a fan of much of it. May have been because it was in the party room and not the regular menu. I did not go into the pub, But heard great things from some of the gas at the party. We have been to Nomads every October for a few years but will look for another venue for next falls event. Places like Nomads need continuous maintenance and cleaning, neither of which is being done here. A lot of the games were broken or needed maintenance. They allowed way too many people in for the resources available-as an example had one lane open for bowling with four potential but 3 were broken. There was an hour wait for laser tag since their vests aren't working. I could go on but that was the overriding theme. I'm sure the employees are frustrated with people complaining (we didn't but saw others doing so) and their attitude definitely reflects that frustration. Nomads has a ways to go until they get back up to pre pandemic status, they should consider completely closing for maintenance for a couple of weeks and reopen. We won't be back again with our large group until we know this has happened. read more

Sooooo. I really do like nomads. So I feel like they need to read this review and several others that I seen on here and really addressed the concerns that I have. We went for my son's friends bday. I didn't feel like they were taking any covid precautions except for mask and there was several two hand sanitation stations. They had indoor basketball but when the games were finished they were just released into the general public area which became Beyond crowded even if it wasn't coronavirus season. We ate at Red's tavern ordered two large pizzas which were really small larges .. If you know what I mean.... The pizza crust was decent but the pizzas were very salty. And nasty. Even the kids were upset with it. Some of their staff were wearing the mask correctly during our visit a lot of the staff for super young and just didn't care about anything. The VR experience was probably the best out of everything that we did there and the staff member that ran it was super nice and knowledgeable. I love Nomads. Personally I think the employees and service were great, the employees were very kind and friendly and the food service was amazing. The pretzels Were absolutely amazing and the dipping dots were perfect too. The only thing i believe some people would be bothered by would be how there in a bag then the bag is placed into a cup but i personally wasn't bothered by it. The vending machine did give all my friends money back to him in cense when they had run out of the drink he wanted which was good. Not all vending machines do this. The Ambiance of the place was beautiful and really gave off the Arcade vibe. The staff are also very quick to fix the broken machines as well if the machines break. Fruit ninja did malfunction but it was quickly fixed by the staff which i personally appreciate. Some of the games had been broken but its to be expected that not all games would be working. This place deserves 1 star ! Not even !! Went to this place and spent $132 for a family of 4, on d not more. Thought it was a good by but look at the machine .... It will get you and make you pay for a higher package. Half of the game machines were broken. The light were showing on , but when you play they don't function. No one was directing people on how to sign up and play laser tag. We held my husband's surprise 50th in the Nomad's Banquet Room. Food was excellent! Staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. Especially Megan the event planner! Laziest most inattentive staff. Half the machines here don't work and trying to get assistance is impossible. It seems like the entire staff took break at 3pm. I waited for help at a skeeball machine for over 10 minutes after going to the front desk to have them radio twice. Still no one showed up. After having run 3 corporate events here that went fairly well, I can say I will never bring my family here again nor will I book another event here. I can't say much for the arcade games but the facilities seem pretty cool if you come with a group. I came here for a company networking event on a week night and enjoyed myself. Laser tag was fun. Just remember to hold the gun with both hands or your gun will flash white and the laser won't register. Mini golf was entertaining enough (although I think the last course is broken; doesn't light up when the ball goes in the final hole). Moon bounce is for 12 and under only *sad face*. There's a pretty big gym where you can shoot some hoops. I even tried the rock climbing wall. Surprisingly, the bar food here wasn't bad either, definitely edible. Overall, the place gave me an eerie feeling because it seemed so empty for a Wednesday night. The teacup ride and the bumper cars were shut off (with lights turned off) because not enough people wanted to ride them and they didn't have enough staff on duty to man every station. The mini golf course was really dark and at times abandoned. I felt like you could get raped in there. I did not get to play many arcade games (20 points did not go very far) but nothing looked that appealing like at Dave and Busters. For arcade games, go to D&B. For general activities and the 3 hour free play, come here. I'm taking off a star because I did not like how half of the rides here felt like they were shutdown/abandoned/closed. Recently, I've been hired by a nice couple to be the DJ and emcee at their upcoming wedding. When I first learned that the reception was being held at Nomads, I had no idea what to expect. When we had our first meeting we decided to meet at the venue and boy I was pleasantly surprised. The banquet room is bright and spacious, the staff is friendly and there is plenty of parking. I'm really looking forward to performing here. As for the Nomad establishment as a whole, what fabulous concept. They have practically every arcade game you can imagine, a Rick climbing wall, a billiard room, bumper cars, cinema, electronic bull, and two full sized basket ball courts and more. In addition, there are restaurants and smaller rooms for parties. To top it all off, it's all indoors so you can visit Nomads 12 months of the year, rain or shine. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I haven't actual used the facility yet. read more

I wasn't surprised when we found out someone had just stiffed her out of their 60$ tab she was just the worst another patron asked her a question and she barely made eye contact with him and said what you see is what we have.. if you aren't a people person don't work with people. I am sorry to leave a long complaint because I never complain but I want to save a family from wasting their time and frustration at this arcade! My boyfriend, his son and myself visited the arcade today 7/20/19. This place looks great online. The bumper cars and tea cups were fun and the associates running them were so nice. The rest of the arcade was AWFUL! 1. Multiple games restarted (connecting to internet error messages) after paying for the games. 2. We reserved our spot for laser gate with an associate, came back for our scheduled time, paid for 3 of us and THEN they told us we couldn't play we open opened toe shoes. 3. The vending machine took our money- waited 15 mins only to go BACK to the front desk to REMIND the associates we were still waiting for one of them to show up(they did nothing to fix the machine by the way- just gave us a water) 4. WORST PART OF THE VISIT- We went to eat at RED'S TAVERN when my boyfriend bit down into something hard in his chicken sandwich. It was a METAL NUT IN HIS FOOD!!!!! He almost choked on it. When we told the server he said wow that's weird. He took off 75% off of the $35 bill. The manager never came out never once did they say sorry! We asked for the manager who once came out of the back said " oh yeah they told me about this." Showed her the picture and said we are not paying for this. She said " ok that's fine" and that was it. She was not apologetic nor was she surprised! We visited the front desk more than 5 times for issues ALONG with other parents who we frequently saw at the front desk as well. Taking my niece and nephew to Nomads seemed like a great idea at the time. It's a dream come true for a seven and nine year old. Laser tag! Rock climbing! Mini golf! Arcade games! Except it's a miserable land of broken games, rude staff, and hundreds of whiny kids. Only the last part was expected. The debit card token system seems efficient at first (load money onto card, swipe said card at games), but we were astounded by how many games took the credits off your card but wouldn't actually play (and yes, we swiped the cards correctly). Because there were a billion birthday parties going on and no staff to be seen, we just shrugged it off and walked way. Felt bad when I saw other people and their kids going through the same thing - as if an arcade isn't a huge waste of money anyway, putting money into machines and not even playing them is an even BIGGER waste. When we purchased passes to play laser tag at the front counter, we weren't told the process (that we needed to sign up for a time slot...kinda important!) so we waited for the current game to end and asked the attendant about getting the kids in to play. Rudely, she told us that birthday parties get priority (understandable) and we wouldn't be able to play until 6pm (it was around 3 at that point). When my fiance nicely asked if we'd be able to return the passes, we were snottily told NO REFUNDS. Yeah, we get that you're busy and have to deal with people's kids all day, but rudeness is just so hugely unnecessary. Thank god we got our refund in the end... I remember seeing a Nomads booth at a bridal expo and my fiance hopefully asked me if we could do a Jack & Jill party there. While I laughed it off at the time, now I think I'd plain out divorce him before we're even married if he asked me that again. read more

What a mistake I made choosing Nomads for my daughters sweet sixteen birthday party. We headed over to Nomads at 9 pm on a Saturday night with 10 kids to have a party. I payed Nomads $275 for the kids to have full access to everything for the evening. 1. They spent their first section in the electronic gaming area. The games are old and some aren't working well. The area was also in general dirty. Some games were not working at all. 2. After that they tried was the teacups ride. Unfortunately the Nomad employee operating this ride took it upon himself to spin 2 of the cups right before the ride began to make sure they reached maximum spinning speed during the ride. This man was quite strong and he sure got them spinning REAL GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!! After the ride some of the kids puked and pretty much set the tone for the evening. 3. After they had recuperated for a while we went into the lazer tag section. This should have been fun but once again the Nomads employee in charge of this section took it upon himself to join their competition and of course he's a wiz at this game! He won with a score of 8000 and the next closest in our group of kids was 4,000. The worst part of it was that my daughter, the birthday girl, had a bad controller and couldn't score any points. She couldn't find the Nomad employee in charge to switch controllers because he was too busy racking up points from a secret hiding place only he knew about. 4. About halfway through this tragic event several of the kids felt too sick and called their parents to get picked up. 5. At about 10:30 we decided to take another break and went to the snack bar. It was already closed and the manager was tallying the register so we had to go use a soda machine in the hallway. Nomads was open until 12 midnight so a 10:30 close on the snackbar on a Saturday night is too early in my opinion. 6. Several other minor issues I'm not going to take time to describe. The day after the party I emailed Nomads describing what had happened and the manager emailed back saying she would send me a gift card as compensation for the behavior shown by their employees that ruined our party. I emailed her back accepting her offer but never received any gift card in the mail as she promised. This is just a perfect example of local yokels ruining what could have been a pretty darn good idea. This kind of operation could be a booming enterprise but instead lazy management and remote ownership want an easy to run cash cow that ends up going nowhere. If this were managed properly I think franchises would have been a clear option and who knows how far they could have taken it? Instead it's a typical downward spiral we have seen too many times that will probably eventually end up in bankruptcy a few years down the line in my opinion. Keep the gift card you promised. I've been to Nomads a couple times. The first time was when I had my overnight high school grad party here. That was pretty fun; all the games worked (and were free), and mini golf and laser tag were a hoot. The second time, I went with my younger sisters and father on a Saturday afternoon. We paid to play the games only. All the games themselves worked. Since the only game I really like there is DDR, that's what I stuck to mostly. However, I did manage to win some tickets. The ticket-counter machines weren't so great; all but two were broken. When we told the staff (all of whom looked no older than 17 to me), they just stared at us in incomprehension. The prizes themselves were total junk. I know you can't expect great stuff, but I've seen better at Chuck E Cheese! My verdict: Nomads can be a great place for events, but I would advise against going there otherwise. Just not worth it. read more

Would not return with younger children as it Doesn't look the website...I have two younger children and went because a playground jungle gym area was under the Entertainment section online along with wording about all these bounce houses...apparently they removed that years ago and didn't update their site. Trying to make the best of it I took my two and three year old into the two TINY bounce houses they had. Older kids (like teenagers) were in there kicking and fighting so I went in to keep an eye on my children and the worker told ME to get out!?!! It was super stressful and not customer friendly. This past July was our first time at Nomads. We reserved the Bounce House Adventure Package for my 5 year old nephew's birthday party and all of the kids had a blast. For $275 (for up to 15 children) they provide you with a very large private room in the back of the facility. There are actually three large bouncers, one with a slide, for all of their toddler enjoyment for approximately 1.5 hours. Also included were 2 slices of pizza per person and soft drinks (we chose to bring our own cake and decorations), of course you can order more food or add extra guests for an additional fee. They also provide each kid with game card with 10 points on it (about 2-3 games depending on what they play), which we chose to hand out with the goodie bags on their way out. The party package also includes a party host. Our host was Alex, who was awesome. He kept the party rolling; cleaned up quickly; and even helped bring all of our gifts to the car during a torrential rain storm. You would think he'd be just another apathetic teenager sleeping through his summer job, but he was great. I'm a grown person, so after I got sick of watching the kids bounce (all of 10 minutes), I decided to check out the rest of the facility. The arcade is pretty big, and won't break your pockets. I just wish they had better games for adult gamers. They do have a bar, but I didn't get a chance to check it out. Other attractions include the black light mini golf, which looked cool; the rock climbing wall, which I would never go on; bumper cars, which are way in the back of the facility; some kind of tea cup looking ride; the mini bowling looked boring; there as a mechanical bull, but it looked abandoned; a basketball court; and I know they have laser tag, I just wasn't sure where. If this place wasn't so far in the middle of nowhere, I would probably hit it up on a normal weekend. But definitely a good look to host birthday parties and events. My review loses a star for location and lack of better adult games, but would probably have received 5 stars if I had a chance to have an alcoholic beverage. If you're a videogamer, don't bother going to Nomads, unless you live near it. It isn't worth much of a drive. Nomads is largely disinterested in the videogaming audience. Just a token few games so the adults get a little something. 75% of their "games" are "ticket" games for children. Of the remaining games, 2/3rd are either shooting, or racing. So little variety! The shooting games are very good (save for the very low volume in Terminator). The driving games are good but not great (no 4 or 8 player, no feedback seats). But where are the games for...flying, platforming, pinball, vehicle battles, boxing, sports, fighting, retro, etc? Ever since Smiles (great!) closed (boo!) in Milford I was hopeful that Nomads would be good. But it isn't. read more

After not going to Nomads for years I was so happy to be back! It definitely brought back so many amazing memories of birthday parties and just going there with friends. The ski ball, basketball, and air hockey were my games of choice! The staff I met there were so amazing as they always had a smile on their face. The way they run their arcade games is extremely convenient. All you have to do is swipe your game card, play the game, and the tickets will then be loaded to your card! It's definitely a fun spot for kids to have fun and get rid of some of their energy. read more
