They pride themselves with offering gluten free options and an awareness of food allergies. This location is located in the Shops of Farmington. There are plenty of parking especially out back by the red barn. The restaurant was large and spacious. There was a huge U-shaped bar. They also have a nice patio area with plenty of seating and a fire pit; this would be great when the weather is nice. My family and I had lunch on Saturday. It was busy but not overwhelming. Our server was busy but super attentive and friendly. I noticed it was very kid-friendly since there were other kids there and they had a kids menu. Their menu was vast menu and I wanted to try so many food items. I started off with a hibiscus margarita; oh my, one of the best I've had, it was a 5/5. We also had the asian calamari; it's fried battered squid, banana peppers, and a side of sweet chili. This was mouthwatering good and it was a 4/5. I had a cesar half salad which was toothsome; the dressing, parmesan, croutons, and salad ratio was perfection. My main entree, I had the prosciutto wrapped cod; that is baked cod, wrapped with prosciutto, served over parmesan risotto and broccoli with lemon butter. The showstopper was the parmesan risotto, I could eat a gallon of that lol. The cod was okay, it needed more flavor but the prosciutto definitely helped with the flavor. Overall the cod fish was 3.5/5. Next time, I want to try their Thai sesame salmon, apricot shrimp risotto, pulled pork Mac and cheese, Bolognese, crab rangoon dip, and firecracker shrimp, to name a few. I was so torn but I chose a bit of a healthier option due to my New Year resolution. I loved that they had the total calories next to the menu items. My family and I look forward to going back soon!

I felt bad for the waitress as she tried hard to make our lunch experience pleasant (although I will say she and the rest of the waitstaff disappeared frequently even though the place was virtually empty), but my mother had something green and gross in her glass of water and then was served a salad with wilted lettuce, and I ordered a burger that took quite a surprisingly long time to make and it came out missing some toppings. It's possible the Italian place across the way is a better place to go, but I wouldn't come here again.

Good Friends, Great Food, and Historic Charm!…read more The Village at Buckingham Ladies Lunch Bunch met on July 3 for our favorite monthly first-Friday tradition! We gathered at the wonderful Lisa's Crown & Hammer in Collinsville, a charming riverfront village just a few miles from our neighborhood. What a treat to meet our delightful new neighbor from Cavendish- Kendra Z! This popular restaurant and pub operates out of the historic 1850s railroad freight station of the Collins Axe Company. It sits beautifully amidst repurposed brick factory buildings that now house quaint antique shops, art galleries, and boutiques. Inside, you step back in time with a cozy, industrial-chic setting complete with exposed brick walls, timber wood beams, and a fireplace patio for the cooler months. It is the perfect place to begin or end a walk along the scenic Farmington River, utilizing the Rails-to-Trails path. ‍‍ The food from their scratch kitchen never disappoints! They focus on elevated, comfort pub grub using plenty of fresh, locally sourced ingredients. A huge shoutout to our wonderful waitress (pictured!) who gave us truly excellent service! Our Top Crown & Hammer Recommendations: * The Towering Truffle Burger or Lisa's Amazing Crown Sliders * The Vermonter - Packed with turkey, cheddar, apple slices, and bacon * Perfectly cooked Fish Tacos or a classic Reuben Sandwich * Mediterranean Salmon Salad with lemon dressing (a personal favorite!) * Crispy Cauliflower, Fried Green Tomatoes, and Truffle Parm Fries * A refreshing glass of Citizen Cider to wash it all down! Our lunch bunch is already counting down the days until we return in October to try Lisa's new fall menu in the cozy fireplace room! If you love a quintessential New England village that is walkable, historic, and brimming with charm, you have to check out this spot!

Lisa's Crown and Hammer is a little bit confusing…read more Is this a pub that serves high end food, or is this a bougie restaurant trying to be a pretty good pub? Confusion lie, as we walked in the main entrance, and there was no person to see us. Do we just go in and sit down? Do we walk into the pub and sit there? After a minute or two wait, a server came and sat us in the fireplace room. Menus were waiting for us along with the daily specials on this Sunday. The dinner specials were few and far between, and we passed on them I ordered a Lisa's Crown and Hammer chicken sandwich, which came with french fries fries according to the menu, and my dear friend, ordered the Reuben, with french fries We passed on drinks as water was supplied, and neither of us felt like drinking. The food arrived in decent time. My friend only ate half of a Reuben, and some of the french fries. She said th sandwich was OK. My Lisa's crown and hammer sandwich was pretty decent, and I felt the french fries were well seasoned but soggy. I ate half the sandwich and took most of the french fries home. I'm kind of disappointed, as after spending time at the Christmas tree show and raffle at the Collinsville Historic Society, lunch would be so appropriate to end the lovely visit in Collinsville at Crown and Hammer I guess it's travel at your own risk here. Hit or miss. Service was OK, but it seemed like the server disappeared for long periods of time and the place really wasn't busy. I also noticed there were two or three servers taking care of guest in the small place The pub was hopping, I'm not sure if it was locals or visitors to Collinsville, but it looks like everyone was having a good time in there. Prices were on point, as I think the Bill was around $40 with tip. The menu does have sandwiches and sides along with the high-end dishes. Personally, I would lose the high-end dishes. I will come back again, maybe not soon. Collinsville is an awesome place to visit. So quaint, so inviting, so much to do. It's just too bad that Crown and Hammer missed the mark

As soon as you start to stray into other dishes, the restaurant starts to lose its appeal. A buffalo chicken wrap was drowning in sauce. My lobster roll, which I came here specifically for based on other reviews, arrived at the table and I started laughing my head off. The bun was maybe at best 2/3 the size of a hot dog bun and had probably half a chicken lobster worth of lobster... it at that. I doubt it even reached 4oz, and with a side of fries, market price was $30. I felt completely ripped off. I've gone to Abbots at the shore of the Sound, and their roll cost the same but was about double the contents and I didn't leave hungry. $30 and I was lucky that I ordered an appetizer to fill in the gap in my stomach. Indoors is dark and not really inviting, but the patio was quite nice. Initially one server was covering half a dozen tables so service was quite slow, but when a couple others showed up to take the slack, things started moving for everyone. Overall... if you want a fried seafood platter-- it's great. But anything else... look elsewhere.

They were good and our server Matt was on top of things even though it was a busy Saturday night. My wife had the lobster roll and said it was buttery and tender, but I can't comment since she wouldn't share it with me. I had the King Crab special, and as I commented to our server, I have paid a lot more ($55) for a lot less (4 legs) that were meaty and great texture you only get with King Crab. We left very happy. It is rare to find "king crab " and good value in the same place.
