    Katsu Sandwich
    Matthew S.

Why would you want to leave the city to try any other restaurant in the world? Because the food is better once you leave this country. Honestly, it is. But this restaurant is a good place to start. Maybe you are homesick. Maybe you just want that flavor you were lacking when you were in Europe or Asia. Maybe you just want to pretend you visited either of those continents, or maybe you do not want to, but then you would certainly be missing out. The food here is fresh and has terrific flavor. I ordered the Katsu and it is certainly a breath of fresh (Japanese) air. All the ingredients come through beautifully and it leaves nothing to chance. Nothing left to imagination either. What you get is what you get. I did go through a lot of napkins here, and as a result many trees will be scared of me when I come back here for something else. Be afraid. Be very afraid. Do not be afraid to stop here before you jet set off to another faraway land. This restaurant will prep you well.

For lunch I was seeking a sandwich & had high expectations here. I ordered a Mediterranean Tuna panini. There were many flavor-enhancing items added, like olives & feta. Honestly I couldn't taste anything but tuna. The add-ons were too weak to contribute much to the taste. The small sandwich was rather pricey at $15.

Half falafel sandwich/half garden salad with balsamic vinaigrette combo

I've only ordered lunch from here once, but I look forward to going back again. I ordered for pickup through their website (which is through ChowNow). I selected the half sandwich and salad combo for $15. There were 15 sandwiches to choose from, and I went with the falafel sandwich which comes with homemade falafel, hummus, chopped salad, pickles, eggplant, cashew yogurt sauce and a dash of hot sauce. The sandwich was very flavorful, and along with the salad, was filling. The garden salad was fresh and I liked the crunchy garlic croutons. The food was ready at the scheduled pickup time. The store is small with only three tables and some stool seating along the front window and one side of the wall. The person at the register who handed me the food was very nice and let me know where to find the napkins/utensils on the side.

    Philly Cheese Panini

The absolute most incredible sandwich I have ever had. I had the Philly cheese steak panini and it was worth every penny, which might I add was only $20 and for the amount of food you get and it being NYC, $20 is a bargain. The steak was juicy, tender and flavorful, melted cheese with the peppers and onions on that perfectly toasted buttery panini bread. Freaking heaven that sandwich. Coming back for the tikka masala sandwich next. Had a sneak peak of the masala sauce and it is outrageously good. Better than any Indian restaurant I've been to. The picture only shows half of the panini. It is a big sandwich

Cauliflower katsu, beef brisket, grilled chicken & steak bowl with couscous salad, cold slaw, cilantro lime rice, and various toppings.

My friends and I ordered the cauliflower katsu bowl, beef brisket bowl, and a grilled chicken and steak bowl (they allow you to do half-and-half for protein). Everything was fresh and made to order and they are very generous with their portions. Their regular coleslaw and red pepper coleslaw are the owner's recipes and they were yogurt based so it was healthier but still delish! Also had their mango dragonfruit slush made with fresh fruit, very refreshing. We sat down & ate there and their service and welcoming hospitality is an A+.

Excellent service. Delicious sandwiches!! Packed with flavor, freshness and "fuhgeddaboudit"

(Overall: C) - Nomad now sits in the middle of the road for me as their sandwiches are on the pricier side and only one of the sandwiches I had was particularly good. To order, you must do so online and then pick up from this actual hole in the wall near an alley behind Trader Joe's. Nevertheless, their menu does have interesting items and I was personally greeted by the owner the first time which for sure made a lasting impression, explaining the backstory behind their sandwich ideas and even offering a free sample of half a sandwich! I think this place has potential and the other sandwiches are of potential future interest as well. (Steak Sando: A) - I was quite impressed by the tenderness of the steak and the aggressive seasoning of the guac that truly highlighted the beauty of those Latin American flavors. The creaminess of the guac paired so well with that toasted baguette, and I have not been so enthused to return to try another item from their menu so fast in a long while. (Lobster Banh Mi: D) - Unfortunately, this one was much less impressive; I found the pickles to be too large in shape so the carrot was too crunchy and not adequately pickled. Further, the lobster tempura wasn't that crispy, nor glistening like a lobster roll so it was just in this strange franken middle state. The bun also significantly out volumed every bite and it wasn't adequately toasted so this was just a bit undesirable. -- Food: +1 Presentation: E Price: -1 Overall: +0 C Insta/Beli: @amei_eats

Nomad's menu reflects the diversity from the owners travels around the world. They source ingredients locally, partnering with reputable vendors like Balthazaar and Joe's Dairy. Every bite bursts with freshness. Currently Nomad is a ghost kitchen, so there's no seating. You can order delivery, they have an 8 mile radius, or pick up at 30 Vandam. I tried a few dishes and enjoyed them all!

This is a ghost kitchen so you have to order ahead- the sandwiches are ao unique and the owner puts a great level of detail and thought behind everything from the ingredients to the utensils. My favorite was the coronation salad as it had the perfect balance of flavor and textures. For sandwiches my favorite wad the chicken katsu.

Found my new favorite sandwich shop! This is truly a hidden gem in soho. Delivery or pickup only with an inventive and creative menu. Each sandwich is full of flavor. The falafel donuts are the crispiest! The Cuban chicken sandwich was probably my favorite, just perfect. The steak and guacamole sandwich is loaded with grilled steak and freshly made guac. Any sandwich can be turned into a killer salad. Will be back asap!

    Desiree F.

I was looking forward to a quick bite from this take put spot. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I ordered the Cuban chicken panini, the samosa panini, and the egg and cheese with grilled chicken. You have to order ahead and walk up to the multi restaurant window. My food came out in about 15 minutes. When I dug in, all the sandwiches were good, but my favorite was the Cuban chicken panini! The flavors were all there. All in all I had a good experience!

    Lauren S.

I stumbled upon the sandwich shop that does pick up delivery only and the quality was unbelievable. You can order on the website or on DoorDash Uber eats and the service was super super fast and the sandwich was absolutely delicious. The bread was super fresh and the ingredient were super high quality. We got the steak and guac sandwich, the lobster Bánh mì and the cuban. All were excellent but the steak and guac was definitely my favorite. The guac on it was the best guac I ever had. Definitely would recommend!

NOMAD delivers an unforgettable culinary journey with every dish. The menu is a globe-trotting adventure, bringing diverse tastes from around the world straight to your table. True to their promise, nothing is frozen, and there are no preservatives--just high-quality, locally sourced ingredients. If you're up for trying something new and exciting, I'd highly recommend you try NOMAD.
