3.5 Really liked the vibe in here, very modern sushi bar feel. I got the rainbow roll, which was good but nothing crazy. The ramen was the real standout though. I just wish it had a little more spice, but the broth was rich and full of flavor. Overall, not bad at all! read more

Saw the rave reviews of this spot, so I had to try it! While I was waiting to pickup our take out order, I noticed on their dine-in menu, all priced were $1 cheaper than online, and the employees confirmed this, stating they do that as an incentive to get people to dine in more. Interesting move, but I understand the logic behind it. Alright now onto the sushi, and to sum everything up, I mean, everything was good, but nothing blew me away here. California Roll - nothing out if this world about it, a good roll, but very basic Finding Treasure Roll - I was really excited about this one, it looked like a very complex roll and indeed it was, but the flavors didn't combine as well as I thought they would Fried sushi Donut - Also anticipating this one a lot. I got it with the hot cheeto outside and yellowtail on the inside, but I found both flavors lacking. You're basically getting a fried rice donut, because this roll is 85-90% rice. Disappointed with that one Spicy salmon Roll - nothing spicy about it, but still good nonetheless Yakimeshi - a balanced and tasty fried rice dish, but portion was pretty small considering the price Inside looked like a fine spot to hangout, not super fancy, but not trashy either. Staff was friendly and helpful for the limited time I was inside. I would eat here again, but wouldn't be my first choice read more

FOOD Miso soup is just ok not much flavor and the container is very small 3/5 Spicy California Roll is delicious! 5/5 Philadelphia Roll: 4/5 The fish was very flavorful Tempura Roll : 3/5 Yakisoba shrimp noodles -- the noodles and egg were delicious; the shrimp was of chewy and not flavorful maybe they were overcooked. 4/5 SERVICE I ordered ahead using door dash. When I pulled into the parking lot, the only person working the counter and prepping the food was hanging out in the parking lot. He ran in and hadn't started making the food yet This took longer than the suggested time on door dash (clearly) Ambiance It was empty. No other customers. Nothing to write home about. read more

Cute little local spot in Smyrna! Tried quite a few sushi rolls - Tibet roll and Las Vegas roll were some of the faves. Friendly service. I did not care for their Mango Boba Tea but that is my only complaint. Otherwise a solid sushi spot! Give them a try! read more

Candidly, a friend and I ended up at this terrific Sushi spot by complete accident! Our intention was to try a new sushi restaurant that had just opened on the other side of town. Very glad we ended up staying to give Nom Nom a try! Their bubble tea had me smitten within minutes of walking through the door (I recommend the green tea flavor). We both ordered a couple of roles from the lunch menu... 1Our sushi was hella delish! 2 I thought the # of included pieces was quite generous. 3 The $$ was veryyy reasonable/competitive. Highly recommend trying!! read more

Good, not great. White fish nigiri - 5/5 - fresh. Crab Ragoon - 1/5 - edible but not good. There is a thin creamy center resembling more of a sauce, no crab. Ramen Tonkotsu - 3/5 - the inclusions were fabulous. Egg was wonderfully seasoned and cooked to perfection, some of the best bamboo I've had. Pork was chewy and overly fatty. Broth left so much to be desired a true disappointment. Spring rolls - 3/5 - edible, crispy but the center was mushy. Sushi Burrito (Cali) - exactly what I would expect and was delicious! read more

10/10. Best sushi place in Rutherford county hands down. My family and I come by at least once a month. The owner is very friendly and sources the fish that he uses very well. The fish always tastes fresh. My daughter's favorite is the spicy salmon roll with a taro bubble tea. I love to get the salmon poke bowl. The food is very reasonably priced as well. There is plenty of seating inside. I definitely recommend to stop by! read more

The decor is simple and clean at this cozy restaurant. The waiter was polite and attentive. For our appetizer, we got the crab rangoon, which was clearly homemade, and absolutely delicious. A must get! We tried several of their regular sushi rolls and a couple speciality rolls. All of them were amazing and so fresh. The crunchy tempora roll and smyrna roll were standouts. Great sushi, and at a great value! We will certainly be returning. read more

The food is fine but I think our expectations might have been raised too high by previous reviews. Seems like a two person operation and I'm sure that makes things pretty challenging, so hopefully any criticism offered will be taken as constructive. I tend to view bathroom conditions as a sort of canary in the coal mine, so to speak, in terms of any restaurants attention to detail and cleanliness, with the latter being pretty important when it comes to sushi. The bathroom was clean but the soap was out as was the paper towels. The fact that they had only two people made it harder for them to service the tables in a timely manner and I get that. They did their best. One thing I found odd since we had ordered three rolls is that they didn't supply any kind of small dish for either of us, which you kind of need for bigger, more unruly sushi pieces. They were generous with the fish pieces used. Was it the best sushi in Smyrna? Not really. It was fine but maybe it will improve and I am routing for them. read more

I got the spicy salmon roll and it was hands down the best I've had. I also got a finding treasure roll and presentation was phenomenal. The ingredients were very fresh they took no shortcuts and used no fillers. The staff are very friendly. Definitely recommend and will be back! read more

Stopped by a few weeks ago for some sushi. The place had two tables sat and we were the third. It was during the day so it was not busy at all. There was plenty of parking. The ambiance was not good, very boring and generic but that didn't matter that much, there was just no effort to make the place look nice. The sushi was good but the service was only fair at best. We were given some snacks to eat while we waited for our food and wait we did. From the time we ordered to the time the food arrived was 20 minutes. I can't imaging what took so long to prepare two sushi rolls. It looked like a husband/wife were running the place but I guess they had better things to do than make sushi rolls. That was a one time trip and if the food wasn't so good they would have gotten a one or two star rating from me. I probably won't be back since we were just driving through but if you don't mind waiting, the food is pretty good. read more

Super nice folks. Great sushi. Don't let the exterior scare you away. And you MUST try their fried sushi donut.

I was totally not prepared to have such a great dining experience in Smyrna. Nom Nom Sushi exceeded all expectations, the service was fast and friendly and the food was incredibly fresh and menu had quite a few unique offerings that I'd never seen anywhere attempt. Most notable among these unique items are their selection of sushi b-rittos which are large sushi rolls served uncut, so as to be able to eat them like a burrito or a wrap. I tried the big island variety that had Poke tuna, masago, mango, green leaf, avocado and cucumber. The flavor was phenomenal and I loved being able to pick it up and eat it so conveniently. I also ordered some tuna sashimi which was excellent and for only 6 bucks came with some very thick cut slices of tuna that tased super fresh. I also appreciated that they offered ponzu instead of only having soy sauce available, not something you find to be the case everywhere. Finally I couldn't pass up trying one of their sushi donuts before I left. They have a few varieties available but I went with the seared salmon which was served upon a donut of rice and topped with yum yum sauce. It was definitely tasty if not a little hard to eat, but I'd would certainly order it again. All in all everything was delicious and the prices were very reasonable for the quality of food that you are getting. read more

FIVE STARS ALL THE WAY!!! Looking for sushi on my Maps app and found Nom Nom. Was impressed by the good reviews so decided that's where I'd go. It seemed to be pretty crowded so I decided to go elsewhere. I wish I'd stayed because right down the road I got in a wreck and tore up my beautiful F150. went back to camp site, ate a ham sandwich and cried. The next afternoon I thought I'd try again. It was early so I hoped I'd beat the dinner rush. Got there and walked in and I WAS IN AN ICE CREAM PLACE!! Lol!! Nom Nom was next door. Boy did I feel foolish!! I felt a little better when a lady walked in Nom Nom later and asked if this was the ice cream place. See? It wasn't just me. If you go Nom Noms is on the right in the building that says Asian Foods or something like that. I think it's a grocery but they were closed. Nom Noms is on the west side of the building. I walked in and was immediately greeted by one of the nicest and happiest people I've ever met. We chatted for a moment then I got a menu and a table and sat down. They have so much stuff on their menu it was very difficult to decide!! Everything looked so delicious. I really liked that they had descriptions and pictures on the menu. It was very helpful to see those items of never tried before. I finally decided on my favorites- spicy tuna and spicy salmon plus a bowl of tofu miso with tea. I guess I wasn't feeling very adventurous but I know what I like. I didn't have to wait long before my nom noms were on the table. I'll just say that everything was above and beyond my expectations. Delicious! The miso was the best I've ever had and was served piping hot! I ate every bite and was completely delighted. After I was done I ordered a sushi doughnut to go. I thought it might as good snack later when I was back at camp. I'm camping solo so eating snacks is about all I have to do. LOL I decided that Nom Noms is my favorite new restaurant and that's a crying shame because I live in Georgia. Dammit. If you're in the area and hungry for sushi or just want a good snack I most highly recommend Nom Noms. Nice people, good service and great food at a reasonable price. What more could you ask for?? read more

I've seen them working on this place over the last few months, I vowed to give them a shot. Tough economy to start a restaurant in but if you make a good product people will hear about it. I got the Blue Ocean B-Ritto, big slices of yellow tail and salmon. Great presentation, very tasty combo. Got my husband a deep fried Sweet and Yummy Roll, Tempura shrimp, crab salad, avocado, cucumber, yum yum and sushi sauce. He Loved it! Food is great and prices are reasonable. their sushi, b-rittos, and poke bowls are very good.

I was the only customer here and they still took a while to ask for a water, and the water was sink water which had a badd taste to it, i had seen the reviews and i tried the sushi which did not have much flavor to it, iv had countless sushi all over Nashville Murfreesboro and smyrna and this was my far the least appetizing, will not be coming back sadly read more

The "Hidden Treasure" I believe, was excellent! And very pretty. I had asked for spring rolls, got egg rolls. They were ok. Not sure what the appetizer was as I didn't order it. I've been here three times and every time I order the Smyrna Roll. It's my favorite sushi roll, period. The seared salmon donut is also delicious and I order it when I'm REALLY hungry for sushi. Decided to try out this place since it was close to my cousins house. And let me tell you, Nom Nom Sushi did NOT disappoint! We got the octopus salad, shrimp dumplings, sushi donut, Las Vegas roll, Nom Nom roll, soft shell crab, and also the Tonkotsu ramen! Ask for the chili oil they have it is so flavorful to put in the ramen. The deep fried things were fried so lightly and and stayed crispy the whole time! Loved it! A MUST try! read more
