The crawfish was as good, but had a very different taste than what I was used to, I think they added lime juice in the crawfish. It wasn't bad but very weird lol. My only gripe is the parking and the daiquiri. *there's street parking ofc, but you can end up walking a little far. But there's also parking in the back and enough room for about 6 cars. There's also parking in the front as well. For the Patrice of the daiquiri I didn't think I'd be getting a kiddie sized cup. My total was 26.25 and I added 1 dollar for a tip Overall.. Just before closing, we had the place to ourselves and got to shoot the S with the owner who gave us its very cool history. 38 years in, and a few miles on his ledger, Marty still cranks out some fabulous food! The place was like walking into the 50's, with the old school metal tables and ample linoleum. I LOVE Louisiana cooking, and it couldn't have been more authentic. The only problem I had with my shrimp gumbo is the bowl was too small (actually a filling portion) and loaded with succulent, tender shrimp. Yummmmm! The cornbread was sublime and dipping it in the gumbo was killer! John had a Po Boy and said it was heavenly. The fries were obviously fresh cut and perfect. We finished with the bread pudding as we are both connoisseurs, and boy did it not disappoint. Thank You for yet another 5 star experience and a return visit will be on the horizon! Cheers, JimG

The shrimp and grits were unique and unlike any I've had before. It was like I was eating at a relative from the other side of the family's house or the new neighbor that used to live in a different parish. The batter wasn't overly crunchy and crispy, it tasted like it was made not bought. The shrimp were crisp and not limp. The hush puppies were dense and not all bread, they felt homemade.

I will say that there is some confusion on where to go for ordering in vs picking up ordered food and the noise level was quite high. When I look for crawfish, I'm looking for spicy , flavorful, juicy , and most importantly? That they have big suckable heads. BOY WAS I IN FOR A TREAT FINDING HOT AND BUTTERED!!! It's located at this nice casual little bar called tikilas or some shit like that. Instantly I knew I was in for a treat because they were playing "get low" by lil Jon. And boy was I about to get LOW ! I walked up to order , and to my most utter surprise: there it was , a five pounder deal. They give you a little light up vibrator thing to take back to the table , so that you know when your food is ready to be devoured. Talk about hot and ready! Those crawdads were done in literally like 15 minutes MAX! I immediately started ripping off those slutty little crawfish shells and sucking like there was NO tomorrow! I felt EXPLOSIONS of flavor through my body. I definitely climaxed at least three to four times while I was indulging. These are hands down the best crawfish in Houston or maybe even the entire universe. Definitely would smash .

Amazing restaurant!…read more Was looking for amazing restaurants in Houston and stumbled upon Crawfish cafe as a highly recommended restaurant and I was not disappointed! Came here around 2 pm on a weekday. We found out that they have a great happy hour from 3 pm - 7 pm so we relaxed until that time. Their happy hour deals are amazing and they have great selections. We ordered so much! We got a pound of crawfish, the garlic noodles with shrimp, the salt and pepper shrimp, the crawfish beignets, and the boudain balls. Everything was super delicious and flavorful! Our waitress was a sweetheart and we really enjoyed having her as our waitress. She was very personable and made sure we were good all around. Even the manager came over and asked how we were doing which we really appreciated. This is a true seafood place and felt like it. I'm so happy we came and I was not disappointed!

Nut allergy friendly: Pretty much no issues here!…read more Parking: There's some in the strip mall but definitely less than at the Bellaire location. Time to Appetizers: 20 Minutes Time to Crawfish: 25 Minutes It's a solid branch from the main location in Bellaire, but they're missing some things. For example, the Bellaire location has the new Viet-Cajun flavor of sauce that hasn't debuted here yet (though you can DIY a mix). (Review is for July 2026 if they've updated since then) We got here at 6:05PM and got seated with no issues. Ordered the following: Combo #1 with extra corn and potatoes (3.5/5): Crawfish isn't in season, so don't be surprised at my low rating. It's still great and flavorful all around. Garlic Noodles with Shrimp (4/5): Still incredibly rich and buttery and garlicy and great for a palate cleanser. I'd skip the shrimp; you get eight pieces for $10 extra and that's not really worth it. Crawfish Beignets (4.5/5): Still a fantastic appetizer. Comes out hot, crispy, buttery, and is a really indulgence. 1 lb. Little Neck Clams (4.5/5): I liked these more than the crawfish tbh. It really does depend on what's in season. Very easy to eat, very flavorful. Service was generally good but our server seemed slammed; it took a long time to get water refills and to place extra orders (we got a second order of beignets to-go). Market price for crawfish is high and they're not in season, so don't be afraid to ask. The Combo #1 in July 2026 was $22. Overall, I'll probably be back during crawfish season especially because it's more convenient for me than the Bellaire location, but the Bellaire location has it beat for general atmosphere after the remodeling and much better options for mixes there.

Inside it's a nice restaurant with an upscale feel to it. I ordered a house salad for $9 to start and the Pasta Rosa entree for another $28. The salad arrived first with a generous amount of romaine lettuce with diced tomatoes, cucumber, shredded carrots and chopped eggs on top. With my chosen ranch dressing it was a good tasting salad. The Pasta Rosa dish had sliced Parmesan strips on top of penne with shrimp, crawfish and sausage for the protein with mushrooms and a tomato cream sauce. This meal initially tricked me. My first impression was that while there was plenty of protein the taste of the tomato cream sauce was lacking some flavor. I expected more. However as I kept eating and getting beyond the top layer of the food the flavor increased significantly. I think that the proteins caused the sauce in the lower half of the dish to create more punch. This dish got better and better and I changed my mind. It turned out to be a very good tasting and filling meal. Finally the table service was very good too. P.S. I also tried part of another appetizer which was the bar b q shrimp for $16. They were tasty. I like Rouxpour and would return. My only negative is that their prices are a little on the high side in my opinion.

I'm missing fresh crawfish season so I thought I'd review one of my better outings this past…read moreseason. I am a huge Crawfish Cafe fan in general, but this was my first time visiting this location. It's a very nice location in what looks to be a newer shopping center. There's tons of parking available. I can't remember exactly what day we came, but it was pretty busy at lunch time. Luckily we were able to be seated right away at a booth. Service was great from start to finish. Our main goal eating here that day was to convince our out of state friend how great crawfish is. Her one experience before wasn't great but I knew coming to Crawfish Cafe would change her mind. We started off with a few of my favorite appetizers. First off was some a sampler of oyster. I'm more of a chargrilled oyster fan and that was my favorite of the bunch even though they were all good. I just gotta have calamari anywhere I go. They do it really well here and add some Cajun flair to theirs. We also shared some of the wings. They do more of a dry Cajun rub and it is very good. Two of us went with boil combos. I like the Combo 1 which comes with 1 pound of crawfish, 1/2 a pound of shrimp, 1 corn and 1 potato. It's the right amount of food for me since I am a slow peeler. I also added a sausage link. My go to for sauces is the signature house blend which is a combination of their garlic butter and kickin' Cajun. It always hits the spot. The day we came, the crawfish were big and easy to peel. The sauce was on point and it had just the right amount of heat without being overwhelming. Our out of town guest had the etouffee and loved it, but also loved some of our boiled crawfish as well. I think we did a solid job of converting a once crawfish hater thanks to Crawfish Cafe. This location was great and I would happily come back next time I am in the area.
