I learned more shooting with Colton for 5 hours than I've learned in 20 years of shooting at boring, firing-lane-style gun ranges. If you have ever wanted to learn how to TRAIN to be the best, I think this is probably the best class you could ever take. If you just want to mag dump, go to Battlefield Vegas. Because this class will take you SO much deeper than just dumping mags and blasting away with no thought process. What you're getting when you train with someone as proficient and skilled as these guys is you're learning the mechanics of shooting. In fact, You'll learn a dozen things you probably never knew before firing a single round. I certainly did. And once you do start shooting, you will be amazed at how this instruction makes you a better shooter. I really can't speak highly enough about Colton and NOIR, it was such an awesome experience. Spent a full day of training with Colton and it felt like I had skipped months and months of trial and error if I hadn't. I learned how to safely handle guns firstly, so I could have confidence rather than fear being my first time really shooting. This kind of one on one training probably saved me months if not years of training because I skipped developing bad habits from bad / wrong practices. Colton really knows his stuff and he is a gifted teacher / coach. With only one session my shooting and confidence with guns is through the roof. I went shooting shortly after my training with Colton and am still impressed. I can't imagine where things would go with more training! If you are serious about defensive shooting, Noir Training in my opinion is the top tier. Having trained at several different places over the years, none have even come close to the quality of training I received with Colton and Tim. After a class of live fire or force on force training, I have been amazed at how much I have learned, and the improvement in combat effectiveness is truly obvious, I have always left the classes knowing my skill sets are vastly improved as well as the confidence that I am far better prepared both mentally and tactically to handle a violent threat to myself or someone else. I've taken 2 introductory courses with the first one being more of an orientation to what Noir Training offers and the second course being a practical introductory course. I did not know what to expect coming into these classes. This is the most AMAZING, realistic training that is held in a complete safe and non threatening environment. Tim and Colton are beyond incredible instructors. I learned so much tonight in 2 hrs then I could ever have imagined. I can't begin to describe what an awesome experiences I've had already and I haven't even started the more intense training yet. Originally signed up for a 4-hour session, and I ended up staying the whole day. Colton is an excellent instructor, and his instructions are clear, concise, and articulate. Learned more from Colton in 8 hours than I did with all other firearms instructors combined. His real time feedback, positive and negative, is extremely helpful. He answers my favorite question, why! He not only tells you what to do but why. First time that I felt safe at a range. (My fellow officer shot herself in the hip while re-holstering.) Went with my wife and son for the introductory class while we are visiting. Had a great time with two very knowledgeable and personable guys who really knew what they were talking about. With all of the garbage out there from so called experts it was great to see two real deal instructors who wee not simply repeating the same old mantras. What fantastic training! In two days I learned more than all of the firearms classes I have taken, and I've taken plenty. The best thing I took away was that every time Colton showed me a way to do something, he explained it. Not showed me what to do, he did that, but then explained why you do it this way. Spent all day training with Colton. The training is focused on real world. I specifically wanted to train on how to handle jams and what to do when things go wrong and Colton took care of that. I also wanted to work on moving and shooting, mag reloading as well. I recommend training with Colton if you don't mind spending the money. I just took their home defense scenario course and i recommend them to anyone interested in taking their own personal training further. Shooting at stationary targets is good but being involved in situations where you confront actual threats in a controlled enviorment really shows your flaws and helps prepare you in case it ever happens. I was in Las Vegas with a group of friends and we wanted to do something fun but also learn skills we could use. While I had some shooting experience, I had never had any form training. Colton and Tim were a wealth of knowledge. Several people had no shooting experience and we all learned a ton. Colton and Tim are also really cool guys and they shared stories from their Seal days. I recently took two NOIR Training classes at the Green Valley Shooting Range in Henderson, NV.
