My best buddy took me here when I was visiting him in Vegas, and it ended up being a really fun…read moreexperience. He's in the military and owns a bunch of different firearms, so he wanted to take me to an indoor range so I could try shooting properly. I don't have much experience with guns, but with his guidance I actually had a great time. The staff here were very friendly and professional. Before we started, they went over their policies and safety procedures thoroughly, which I really appreciated. As someone who's not a regular shooter, it made me feel a lot more comfortable. The range itself was clean, organized, and well run. Overall, it was a solid experience and a great place whether you're experienced or just trying shooting for the first time.

Range review I went…read moreshooting at Green Valley Range with my brother to break in a new handgun. The check-in process was great. An employee went over the rules and everything seemed fine. For $25 each, you get the use of the range, 2 targets, eye and ear protection rental, and they have a lounge with fountain sodas that you can hang out in after. There were a few MAGA shirts for sale, but as a bleeding heart liberal woman, I felt perfectly safe there. Since my gun was brand new and I haven't been shooting in about 20 years, my brother set up some target stickers on the side of one of the targets to ensure it was dialed in. After a few rounds, the RSO came by and questioned what we were doing. For some reason, this range uses a picture-frame style cardboard backing. Someone actually took the time to cut out the center of the cardboard. He was somewhat polite until he started complaining that we were shooting "his" cardboard frame and needed to stop. It's literally a piece of cardboard that was already riddled with holes. There was no explanation, other than the frame was his and we weren't allowed. My brother was a marksmanship instructor in the Marines for years and we could not come up with any valid reason. Other than that, we had a great time.

Another fantastic event put on by Progun Vegas and hosted by Dirt-13!…read more Wolverine Wednesday / Soviet Sunday is a fun, laid-back local match for AK enthusiasts. For just $20 you get: * Two or three shooting stages (you can run each one multiple times if time allows--I usually try to shoot at least two runs each) * A pizza lunch or dinner * A raffle ticket Today I completely botched my timing and rolled in 15 minutes after registration had closed. As I was walking back to my car, the lady working the counter chased me down and said if I was ready to shoot, they'd still let me jump in before they wrapped up. I quickly paid my $20, grabbed my "communist defender," and headed to the range. Both stages today ran just over 30 rounds and featured a good mix of paper and steel. One stage had you engaging a USPSA A/C zone target at 50-70 yards, along with some closer paper, while the other involved an array of 8 steel targets shot from four different positions at 30-40 yards.

Pro Guns is hands‑down the go‑to place for outdoor shooting. The range is huge and can easily…read moreaccommodate a ton of shooters across multiple areas, so you never feel crowded. The staff is warm, friendly, and professional, and the clubhouse has the vibe of a higher‑end lounge -- clean, comfortable, and welcoming. The range officers strike the perfect balance: helpful and attentive without hovering. Getting out there feels a bit like off‑roading, but once you arrive, you'll be glad you made the trip. As a co‑owner of a firearms‑related business, we use this range often and recommend it to our customers because it offers a relaxed, open outdoor environment compared to indoor ranges, which can be more restrictive and harder to get into. The covered shooting areas are clean, organized, and set up with chairs, and the entire outdoor space is well maintained. Even the other shooters are friendly and respectful, which makes the whole experience even better. If you want a great outdoor range with a welcoming atmosphere, Pro Guns is the place. Go once, and you'll understand why people keep coming back.
