Nogga cafe
It's a 3 for me, just up from the 2.7 I'd really like to give it. There's some work needed here. Both of the advertised soups of the day on the board weren't available. Pumpkin soup was available but not the advertised pea and lentil soups. The staff giggled when I asked for one of them. Not their fault you'd wager that the board was so wrong. Probably the fault of the manager who walked through the place talking loudly on his mobile phone and was then questioned loudly by a man with a heavy accent. He also seemed to be carry his grandchild through the place at one point. Curious stuff. I'd already ordered the pumpkin soup and at that point wished I had passed on the experience. Such is life. The soup was ok and may well have been homemade. It was certainly thinner than is the usual style these days but still nice. Curiously the place was quite busy, mainly with people buying sushi rolls which might be the cafe's speciality. 4 for $10 is good, right. The place was also very overheated. It felt like a sauna. It was a strange experience coming here but it wasn't an entirely unpleasant one. It was entertaining in an odd way. I quite liked the soup and the comings and goings of the place the staff seemed chirpy as well and you've got to like that. This is a cafe mainly for locals I'd say, not ring ins like me. I can't quite believe I'm saying this but I plan to return. read more
