Based on other Yelp reviews, I contacted Noe to inquire about removing an in-ground fountain feature, capping off problematic drains, and replacing the fountain with an above-ground artificial fountain. He came when promised, provided a very fair estimate, and offered excellent additional advice and ideas for making the project successful. I also hired him to fence in a dog run and install artificial turf. He showed up on time every day as promised, communicated clearly, stayed on budget, and completed on time. I worked with Noeman's for a decent size front yard renovation that was going to take a couple of stages including a retaining wall, new irrigation, new sod, drainage, etc. Pros - responsive at first, hard working crew, very reasonable price, tries to accommodate. Cons - Cutting corners on little things, some of the accommodations efforts were inadequate or rushed (that I would've be willing to pay more for if asked) and there was lack of attention to overall scope. Some things were not finished (to be finished at a later stage) and some things need to be redone due to lack of attention (which I would be willing to pay for), but there was almost no follow-up after multiple attempts to reach out. I would not recommend for any large projects. read more

Based on the Yelp reviews I reached out to Noeman's landscape to get an estimate on a landscape project. I had taken the time to put together a statement of work (SOW) including photos showing what we wanted done. Noe came by the house on the day of the appointment listed to what we wanted done, took measurements and few days later, he provided a written estimate via text message. However, things went downhill from that point. First, the estimate wasn't very detailed. When I asked for a detailed estimate his response was that detailed estimate would cost more. Never heard such nonsense. Strike one. As his was the lowest of 6 estimates and was in sticker shock at the other prices we got, I decided to try to make things work with Noe. On the day we was supposed to start work, I made the point to revisit the scope of work to make sure his price covered everything in the SOW. Within the first five minutes of the conversation, it was revealed that he included demo of concrete walkways but did not include pouring new concrete. Had my request for a detailed estimate been complied with, this would have been caught sooner. He did a quick calculation and the price went up $2K. I showed him a change to the SOW where we decided to use bender board for planter borders instead of concrete. However, for some reason he didn't seem able to calculate the deduction in cost which I thought was strange. Strike two. Then we discussed what he wanted for a deposit. His response was $3000. This was approaching 25% of the cost of the entire job. When I mentioned that CA state law says that contractors are only entitled to $1000 or 10% which ever is less, his response was, "you can't buy anything for that". His request for $3000 was not supported by a bill of material whatsoever nor was it supported by CA state law. Most of the first day or two of the project was going to be demo so no materials would be needed upfront. That said, he didn't seem to want to compromise. Based on a quick search on line, I put together a quick materials list of mostly sprinkler parts that totaled less than $500. Strike three. Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee's out!!! He left saying he had to go back and "check his notes" from the original visit. That was 2 weeks ago and haven't heard from him since and don't want to. read more

Mr Diaz responded to my call and came the next day and completed the work in just two days. It was very involved. Removed tree roots, rerouted needed irrigation systems. Installed pressure regulator for irrigation line where mini drip lines that kept popping open and leaking. Great job! Now we are not leaking precious water!! read more

Noe just finished installing a new irrigation system for my front yard, laid sod, planted numerous plants and removed one tree and a bush. It was not a simple job. I had an old unidentified irrigation system which a previous landscaper crushed and Noe had to discard. He also replaced my old confusing timer and hooked it up to the new system in the front yard as well as old stations in the backyard. Noe was very knowledgable about landscaping and irrigation and listened to what I wanted. He provided a written estimate and stuck to it. Unknown issues arose which were fairly resolved. I hired Noe to rip up the old (mostly dead) crabgrass in my small backyard and install sod, as well as rearrange and upgrade the sprinkler system. I shopped around a little at the beginning and he offered the most competitive quote of three companies. He was very responsive in all our communications, came out promptly for the quote, and was available within the week to do the project. The work he and his crew did was perfect--the yard looks so good. Also, there was a small problem with one of the sprinkler heads that I noticed the day after they finished; I told him about it and he came early the next morning to fix it. When nobody shows up, at 9:30am I try to give them a call and leave a message both in their voicemail and here in the app. I tried to call them again at 10am and someone picked up, told me they would have checked their schedule and call me back. I sent a message again and finally got a message at 11am asking me to reschedule for another day next week. I can't say anything about the quality of their work, but their organizational and communication skills were disappointing. If you schedule a 9am appointment on a Saturday, the very minimum you can do is to inform the client right away of any unforeseen schedule changes. read more

what a great moment it was meeting noe from noeman's landscape and construction! in our interview i requested 3 things for a win win relationship: honesty, communication and professionalism. noe said 'no problem' and indicated he wanted to be paid for hard work so he can 'take care of his family'. well, that pulled my heartstring. an estimate came quickly after our interview, and i hired him. the first day went magnificently! the general clean up: trees were trimmed, grass was mowed, weeds were attending to. all went extremely well. UNTIL IT DIDN'T ANYMORE! noe and his team were to show up the following saturday to begin the bimonthly maintenance work. we confirmed the day quite a few times. i asked for a time frame as to when the team would show. noe stated that he couldn't do that because of his other clients that day. (FIRST RED FLAG). i kinda rolled with that as i planned on being home. ( i will not leave my gate open all day!) AND THEN THE NO SHOW!! sent a text to ask where the team was. NO RESPONSE. sent an email to noe on sunday. NO RESPONSE. (SECOND RED FLAG). on monday, the next day, the team showed up to do maintenance. good thing i was home. the grass was cut, some weeding was done and some dead plants removed. some dead plants. and then they were gone. STILL NO RESPONSE FROM NOE. I CANNOT (in good faith and high morals) RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY! This company did a wonderful initial clean-up of my yard and we were very pleased with that outcome. We are not scoring higher as we were led to believe that this company would also provide ongoing maintenance for the property. It took many calls and eventually they got out there but that is it. No maintenance occurring now. It seems to be a pretty common and terrible practice for landscape companies. They say sure we will do an initial cleanup and then help you with the ongoing clean-up and then no show. So, this one is like the rest. Not reliable to follow through with what they sold me. It pains me to write this because they did do a very good job on the clean-up. I emailed, texted, and called multiple times to get them back out over 6 weeks. So, I feel that was a fair effort on my end considering they should have come back in two weeks and did not. read more
