I made an order with them for rental of instrument for school along with additional one-time purchase items which were needed. They make it appear convenient because they deliver directly to the school. But what actually happened is that several items were missing, and some wrong items given. It was due to backorder, but the real problem is that they don't communicate! Not only was the order late and with missing/wrong items, but I had to make multiple calls and trips to the store to work it out. They did not call me to inform me ahead of time, nor return my calls after. Although I had been charged for everything, over 1 month later, I still have to follow up to find out when I will get the rest of the items from my order, they are not proactively checking the status of these items. Also I made multiple unreturned calls to the head office to get my credit card info updated with no return call. It is really poorly organized and mismanaged. However, on the upside, when you go into the store, the guys there are able to properly repair and answer questions about the instruments themselves.

Another music shop tipped me off that this place had several in stock, and upon calling I was delighted to discover that they did. Although they were initially asking over $100 more than some bigger guitar shops online, the manager agreed to match that price and I was able to take home a Yamaha Revstar! The shop itself is pretty cool. When you drive up on Main Street it appears there's a lot of construction and NOT a lot of parking, but this isn't the case - they have a spacious lot in the back. Enter through the black door and you'll find yourself emerging into the shop near a wall of ukuleles. The store basically appeared to have three areas. The first room had the strings, acoustic guitars, (maybe drums and keyboards, I'm not sure), etc. The second area seemed to have equipment for recording and maybe some effects. The third room was well worth traversing the labyrinthine layout for, because that's where they kept the electric guitars and pedals and guitar straps. Despite being a small business they have a great selection. The manager seemed super knowledgeable and helped me pick some extra strings to go with my new guitar at my request. One of the things that really stood out to me too is that they offer a 50% discount on set-up service when you buy a new guitar from them. Although the person who does it was out for the week, I fully intend to bring my guitar back in to get it set up for only 30-something dollars! (Although, it seemed to play great off the wall.) Overall this is a great local music shop and should be on every guitarist's radar.

Feels like she is getting fitted for her wand in Diagon Alley every time we go. They measure her arms, give her a violin, take it back, give another violin - all until they find the perfect one for her. Also it's like magic for my seven year old beginner violinist to see all of these expert musicians trying out cellos, playing a few violins, etc. while we wait for our turn. We're always excited when we need to go.

I called the store and spoke to Aden in the repair shop. He suggested that I bring in the guitar and let him take a look. When I got there, he remembered speaking with me over the phone. He asked to see my guitar and took some time to look at everything inside, the electronics and all, and said it looked like all was in order. I told him that it seemed to cut out some. He plugged it in and began playing. He played for several minutes, moving it around as he played and it never would cut out. He suggested that maybe the cord I had been using was bad and that I just buy a new cord instead of paying for a more costly repair. There was no charge for his assessment. And I gladly bought a new cord. When I got ready to check out, Michael graciously offered to help me and took care of the transaction. I have the highest recommendation for this Guitar Center , and especially Aden in the repair shop.

We still decided on this place because of the convenient location, fully expecting to probably walk out in a huff. A lady in bright red spotted us, gently pried the list from our nervous fingers and proceeded to hunt down every single item on the list. The one thing they didn't have - she ordered for us. We got a phone call they day it was in stock and we went and picked it up. I am really bad with names, otherwise I would have mentioned this staff person by name. As long as they M&A retains her, they will have our business for sure.
