I went to noches de Colombia in Clifton and came on a Thursday night. They had karaoke going on and very great singers. But not only that. My waitress Maryorie Was the best and super sweet. She was very patient with me and my aunt and was always very attentive. I recommend going and asking for her :) read more

I visited this location today and part of my order was missing - I called and was told it was still there. Being I was already 25 minutes away I simply asked for a refund but was told they couldn't do that. My only option was a "credit" to a place I don't ever go to - I just happened to be in the area. I explained this and was told that was my only option so they just openly admitted to a) not giving me what I paid for and b) wouldn't give me a refund. Not a huge amount and not worth fighting with them over but just goes to show the way they handle customer service. Terrible. read more

I called to ask about the order around 6:45 pm and said listened it's been an hour?? And the lady on the phone said: "con la pena".. con la pena???? Y que hago con tus penas and my cold food???. Stopped by spontaneously because the restaurant we originally planned to go to had too long of a wait, and I'm so glad we did! Everything was great but their carne asada is particularly delish and definitely a must try. Portions are very generous as well - my friend and I shared the bandeja paisa and we couldn't finish it. Our waiter offered us hot sauce, one which was similar to spicy mayo and one that reminded me of habanero salsa verde, and both of them were so tasty with our meal. My friend and I were craving Mexican food, unfortunately La Fortaleza was packed on a Saturday night. We had to look elsewhere for dinner. We found this place was near by and decided to try it. The place was no where near full of people like Fortaleza was. We got seated right away which was a relief because by 9pm at night we were both nearly starving! We got seated and we took less than 5 minutes to put out cocktail and dinner choices in. Unfortunately that did not make a difference even though the establishment was no where near half capacity. We had to wait an entire hour for our steaks to come out, which unfortunately, arrived room temperatures even though we urged the server that we were very hungry and to do his best to get our order to the table as soon as possible. This was no concern of his, we saw him walking by the kitchen talking to the staff but not really doing anything productive. By the time we both got out steaks they were lukewarm meaning they had been sitting out waiting to be brought to the table for some time. Very dissatisfied, this is the first time I go to a "Noches" restaurant and the food is far below average, and basically not the food, it was the service. I would understand if it was a busy crowded night. But the amount of people in that restaurant did not justify getting cold steaks. -For a drink I had the Caipirinha which I also do NOT recommend getting from this place. It was very sour and by the time I got my food it had been watered down because of all the ice. I couldn't have my drink on an empty stomach. So my recommendation is, go to a different Noches de Colombia location or just don't go when you are starving. In hindsight we should have ordered an appetizer but the server said it would take just as long to get the appetizer as the entire so at that point there was no way to improve the situation. ***Will not be back to this location.*** read more

Great place for authentic Latin food. We liked everything we tried, particularly the margaritas and the passion fruit sangria. The shrimp with vegetables and garlic sauce, the grilled chicken with fried plantains, the sampler appetizer, the empanadas, and the liver were delicious. After a disappointing lunch a couple of weeks ago at a different restaurant, Colombian cuisine remained stable at this establishment located in Clifton. The menu at Noches de Colombia offered different varieties which I placed an order online for take out via Yelp. It was easy and fast which I got their classic paisita (mini version of their typical Colombian dish of steak, pork crackling, chorizo, eggs, rice & beans) and mini empanadas consisting of mini fried beef potato for sharing. It was bit confusing as prior to today's visit, the pick up was to the back of the restaurant using a different entrance, now one has to enter the restaurant via the main doors and walk towards the back. The food for most part was well seasoned, tasty and still warm. However, the arepa was dry, hard and not edible. The portions were reasonable and good for another meal with fair prices. My partner and I enjoyed the mini empanadas very much which brought me back to my childhood. We can recommend this place. read more

I have been to a million noches because where I grew up there was one in every corner but this one is definitely one of my favorites and let me tell you why! It is one of the biggest Noches i have been thus far. A lot of space specially for big groups and there's a parking lot so you don't have to worry about looking for parking. The staff is very friendly. And the food is tasty. Noches de Colombia has amazing specials like a bomb happy hour. If you are trying to get cheap drinks make sure to go before 7 because they have their sangria, mojitos, margaritas for around 4-5 dollars!! They also have lunch specials Monday- Friday's before 5 o'clock so make sure you go get those $10 lunch specials. Colombian empanadas are a must with the pink sauce. And of course my favorite plate is the paisita. Can't never go wrong! read more

Welcome to flavor town! I've been coming to Noches de Colombia for years now and they never disappoint. From their appetizers to entrees everything is amazing! I highly recommend ordering their empanadas! Ask for a side of the green hot sauce and I promise you will be happy you did! Outrageous prices! I went there on a Friday night to go eat for my family member's birthday and one of the children, ONLY 11 years old, ordered a bandeja paisa and was asked if they wanted to replace the steak that comes with the meal for a churrasco, and the waiter communicated the offer as if it was complimentary, therefore the steak was replaced. The same exact thing happened when 2 of my other family members ordered the PARGO EN ROMO and asked to have calamari and shrimp added for a price of $17. Furthermore, me and someone else asked for CUPS of water and we were brought bottled water, which WERE $2.50 each. When the bill arrived, we were angry and disappointed. The complimentary meat replacement ended up not being complimentary and we were charged an additional $18, BASICALLY A WHOLE MEAL. Then, for the calamari and shrimp addition, they charged $17 for 2 pieces of shrimp and 2 pieces of calamari. Then, we asked for a little side of sauce, and we received a big soup bowl of sauce that we only used twice and were charged $7.28. On top of that, the kids ordered cups of lemonade which were $5.72 each..UNACCEPTABLE! And speaking of kids, the chicken tenders were $10.95 and does not include a drink. AND TOP OF EVERYTHING, they charged a 3.95% fee for just using a credit card, which was $10.71 for us, which is not normal since a credit card fee is usually $2.50, and then they decided to shove an 18% tip on our bill, which was not appropriate for the service we received. When we attempted to discuss this with the manager, he acted like he was not listening and did not care for our situation, and didn't even attempt to resolve it. Oh...they don't honor military discounts and police discounts together, it's one or the other. The only (minor) complaint would be the mini empanadas. While good, they were borderline vegetarian. You had to go on an expedition to find the meat in there. I got a bandeja paisa and they had no problem swapping the chuck steak for skirt (at an additional cost of course.) The chicharron was crispy and HUGE! Three stars because I ordered a bad meal. Came On a Thursday evening around 5:30, to beat the dinner rush. We were promptly seated in the main room close to the bar. It was hard to hear the wait staff however the waitress we had was very friendly and kept checking if we needed refills on water. For an appetizer we ordered the mini empanadas to share that's probably the highlight of my entire experience. They were perfectly sized as a two bite appetizer. Outside was crispy perfection, inside warm and gooey. The empanadas came with a side of two sauces-served in plastic take out containers (little weird). I ordered the Mar y Tierra Salteado- it came basically soaking wet with sweet red sauce. The peppers had zero crunch as if they were sitting in the sauce for some time. The steak was chewy and the shrimp were lacking as I only found three in my dish. Husband ordered the bandjea paisa, he was pleased with everything. Huge portion of food! The Noches de Colombia in Clifton never fails me. It's conveniently located in a small shopping center. The parking lot is not huge but I've never had an issue with parking. There is also street parking nearby. I absolutely love their food and never have an issue with the service there. I went on a Saturday night and they had karaoke. My only complaint is that they typically have a mariachi band and it gets way too loud. They've also accommodated a group of 15 which went really well except 2 of the meals came out significantly later than everyone else's. We liked that they were able to split the bill by tables rather than one huge bill. I will continue going back to this location as the food is great and it's really close to home. read more

Came at 530pm on a Friday night and hada nice size parking lot and quick service once I walked in to meet friends. Restaurant is pretty big....played live music around 8pm and it was hard to chat because it was a bit loud but the woman singing had nice vocals. Sooooo.... Got a passion fruit sangria which was delicious (more on the juicy side) and started with the guacamole. This was delicious....didn't come with chips but with tostones...I think that's what it's called. Then I got the garlic shrimp salad and added oil and vinegar. Avocado was nice and fresh along with the rest of the veggies on the plate. I was very happy with my order. The flan was very tasty...great consistency of the custard...not too sweet and it was great with cappuccino. So now...after being there for a few hours...we paid the check and suddenly the waitress told us "if we don't plan to order anymore food, we need to leave because we need to seat others". And mind you there were open tables available.,,yes it was busy but I thought it was very rude...they didn't even offer to have us go to the bar. So my rating dropped tremendously.
