food was good. Place was beautiful! From the art to the bright colors. Vibes are definitely awesome in there. Service was okay. My margarita was not the best. I expected the margarita to be better than the food given the restaurants name. So that was a let down.
Let's start with the place was like a sauna, why?! It was also dark I get that's the vibe for the lights but not cute. The chairs were so uncomfortable. Every time we got up they would fall back because we had our jackets on them, but where else are we supposed to put them. We ordered chips and guacamole, Al pastor tacos, shrimp quesadilla and the pitcher of margarita. - chips and guacamole 0/10 Stale chips overly salty and had lemon, guacamole had no flavor. - Al pastor tacos 0/10 oily taco didn't taste good at all. Honestly everything tastes like it was frozen and heated up. The meat was chunks of fat and hard to chew. - shrimp quesadilla 0/10 again tasted frozen the shrimp was super tiny overly cheesy and oily. I think the only thing that was good was the margaritas. Also when they seat you down they don't offer water, we had to ask for our water. All this for $130 tip is already included. They automatically include 20% make sure you read the bottom of the iPad in fine print.
I've been here twice already in less than a month. Love the quesadilla and super nachos! They have great drinks and if you come here on Taco Tuesday they have dollar tacos. At atmosphere and music.
We really wanted to love this place. We saw some awesome tik toks about it but it fell short for us. We knew it was a party place so we expected it to be loud, but it was sooo loud. You could barely talk over the music. They did have a live band later on in the night which was nice. The drinks were very good and most of the food was great but the service was absolutely horrible. You had to flag down anybody to help you. We weren't even sure if we had an actual server or if they just shared all the tables. Very hard to even get a second round of drinks. The place is dark and has neon lights which was pretty cool. We all enjoyed the food but wouldn't go back because of how bad the service was. A lot of the time, they were all just standing ar the bar area. We received our check and realized there's an automatic 20% tip already added to your check so no wonder the service is terrible.
Went on a weekend for lunch, so it was quite empty. The decor is very nice and brightly colored, music wasn't too loud. Hostess was very nice and attentive, and the drinks and food were on point. The bathroom is mixed gendered , so everyone has to enter and make use of it. Everything was good until the bill showed up, it's wasn't that the food or drinks were expensive, it was that they automatically threw in a 20% tip on a party of TWO people. I didn't read the fine print at first, but that note showed up the bill. I find it ridiculous that they force you to pay a %20 tip for a party of ONE and up. If you do come here , PLEASE read any fine print below the menu. I know we're not showing up here again.
This place was surprisingly very nice. The servers were so friendly, food we ordered was spectacular! And we went on a Wednesday so margaritas were half price till 7! And they have alot of choices. Wifey had the manho margarita and i had the coconut margarita...nothing short of delicious. Ordered the fajitas which were amazing. Wifey had the shrimp tower and the corn cheese thing with chips. What makes this place amazing is the vibe it had.

First off I tried to do the right thing by making a reservation since who can say no to $2 on a Taco Tuesday? Apparently that didn't work or help. We got there at 630 on the dot last Tuesday. The place is massive but it was also quite empty so it's a little sad that after being seated right away, we had to wait over 15 minutes for the waitress to come back and take our first order (drinks). A few things to point out for my star deduction: - there is a lack of attention and they had a lot of people walking around - we tried to give them the benefit of the doubt since they "just opened" - on their instagram they promote happy hour BUT fail to mention that it's doesn't apply to Tuesdays since the tacos are $2 - if you were as quick to give us our check, you should have been as quick to take our order - tip is included and there is a credit card fee applied ... boo hoo! - we paid cash and had to go to the counter to ask for our change ... REALLY?? Come on! - if you're charging $20 for a drink, it should have alcohol ... mine was just blue dyed water Sadly, we won't be back because your service should be just as good as your food ... I hate eating in a hostile environment! Do better Noche de Margaritas or you'll be gone as quick as Red District!
Wanted to come and check this spot out because of IG! This place has a lot of photo moments for your social medias. The esthetics are amazing!!! We get there and it was packed, there was a line waiting to be seated. It was a 30-45 mins wait and the hostess was the sweetest! She was so sweet, socialable and professional. Had the Queso fundido w/steak and it was so cute, as an appetizer; for the meal had the Queso taco w/ribeye. guacamole and I wanted to enjoy it but it was too salty. The music was too loud. You couldn't have a conversation. It would be good for the restaurant to lower the music so ppl can have conversations.
Fun place. Took me back to mexico. Tje colors snd effort of design and presentation. Very nacho Libre. Fun drinks. I liked the taco tower el pastor. The chocolate skull desert was fun and beautiful.

This Mexican spot is definitely more style than substance. The decor is beautiful, the space is vibrant, colorful, and really well-designed, which makes it feel like a great place to hang out. But unfortunately, the food just doesn't live up to the hype. Everything we tried was just okay at best, nothing memorable, nothing that would make us want to come back. And the margaritas were really disappointing--weak, overly sweet, and lacked that fresh citrusy punch you expect. If you're going for the vibe and some Instagram pics, sure it's a nice spot. But if you're going for great Mexican food and drinks, this probably isn't it. Also, don't believe their five star reviews. They give people free drinks or food if you leave a five star review so they're all lying.
I went on a Thursday night for dinner and drinks with friends. I loved the decor of the restaurant. It was Karaoke night and a good crowd. The food wasn't great. We had the ribeye tacos and enchiladas. The tortilla was burnt and there was no steak in my tacos just pure fat. The enchiladas had a think layer of beans which was prerty for thr presentation but the beans were also burnt. The margaritas were on point. I had a margarita on the rocks. I will come back again but just for drinks.

Great place to watch sports with your group of friends. They haven't been opened that long I don't think. Maybe I'll be back for happy hour & check out the vibe then. Enjoy!!

Yeah no, this place i wouldnt recommend at all. First off every waiter in this place has a slight attitude and no knowledge to absolutely nothing. I'll explain in a little bit. Ordered a cocada Margarita and the rim came with tajin. When i told the lady that it came with spicy she said i shouldve told her. Tried to get me to stay with it talk about " is not spicy at all" And i said u know is spicy is tajin she gon replu with " im not mexican i dont drink that" bro what ?! When she went to the bartender to let her know the bartender put her hand on her head like she was annoyed. First off to my knowledge margaritas come with either salt or sugar. Not tajin. And if thats the case then u ask or say " would u like the rim to be tajin?" Thats not even the worst part. Im so annoyed atp. The food comes i specifically said i want bbq wings with fries. The food comes out and the whole plate is decorated with tajin. Broooo cause why ??? I asked her why does it have tajin she gon reply " oh if u didnt want it u had to tell me" like sis huh ? What? YOUUUU ARE THE WAITERRRRRR!!! Like are we not teaching people how to serve anymore?! So I proceed to tell her " YOU AS THE WAITER WAS SUPPOSE TO ASK ME IF I WANTED THAT ON MY PLATE ! Every restaurant i have went to and ordered wings and fries HAS NEVER PUT NONE OF THAT ! Idc if its a Mexican restaurant not EVERYONE LIKES SPICY!!!! YOU AS THE WAITER GOTTA BE TRAINED TO TALK. SHIT IS ABSURD. Low key dont even wanna eat but havent ate nothing all day. Im stress they couldve did something to my food now because of her lack of communication cause she had to send it back. The fact she came out with it so quickly makes me feel Like they slapped me in the face with it. They slapped cheese on top to cover the fact they put tajin. And they dug out the ketchup where they put tajin. Didnt remove the celery and carrot. I hate reviewing places bad but I also dont play about myself or my food. Yeah place is cute and picture worthy. This was my first time visiting and I will be back. I'll start by saying there wasn't music playing but I could see how it could get really loud in there. I probably would never go at night time. I had the birria tacos and omg it was so good! I was hesitant because sometimes that can be dry but it was nice and tender. The servers were attentive and food came out quick. Most importantly the drinks were good! Check them out but tread lightly as they have a band set up and tables right in front of it which i can see being way too loud. read more

I came across this place by accident while driving down Steinway on a Sunday night. My boyfriend and I were in the mood for some margaritas and tacos. As soon as you enter, it's a world of fun colorful walls and Mexican cartoons. The restaurant is actually pretty big with plenty of seating for small and big parties. We ordered a frozen passion fruit margarita and a frozen mango margarita. We also ordered birria tacos and ribeye tacos. The margaritas were very tasty and strong. I definitely liked the barría tacos better because the meat was very tender and the consume was well seasoned. Although the tacos were pretty small, I would order them again just because of the flavor. The ribeye tacos were tasty as well but the meat was a little tough. We definitely came on a good night since they had a mariachi band performing and they played all the good hits. The service was pretty good, our waitress came around several times to make sure we had everything we needed. I will like to come back on taco Tuesday since they're promotion is $.99 tacos. If you're in the Astoria area and are in the mood for some good tacos and margaritas, I would give this place a try. read more

I want to start by saying I sat at the bar and I only ordered drinks (2), so my review is based solely on that. Stumbled upon this beautiful place while shopping on Steinway, looking for a margarita. Inside is huge, bright, beautiful and a great place for photos. Sadly I noticed several people walk in, wait to be sat, wait to be waited on, and quickly leave. My service at the bar was sadly equivalent. Although, everyone when being helped was truly nice. The HH is not great as they even tell you the drinks are smaller at this time (lol), but they are exceptionally cute. Tip and a CC charge are automatically included, not cool!! I won't be back, but being a newer establishment I do wish them the best, maybe fix these issues. read more

I like this place. I think it's more like 3.5 stars judging only the tacos and the drinks, but I did round up bc the manager was very accommodating with an issue that we had. So I'll start off by saying I was strictly looking for a Taco Tuesday spot, and I saw some TikToks about this one and decided to try it. The tacos are $1 each, of course they are tiny lol. They taste ok, but I honestly would prefer a normal sized well prepared taco for $3-4 with enough protein inside. The best ones are the el pastor and the steak. The drinks are amazing. Very good. They have a misleading ad about HH, it says "M-W, Th, and Fr" but it turns out there is no happy hour on Tuesdays because of the Taco Tuesday deal, which I understand in hindsight but could be an issue if you're not paying attention and get too carried away ordering drinks. The manager took care of it, which I think was very nice of him, but they should probably fix that ad. Overall, I think there are better places to go for Taco Tuesday specifically that include tacos and drinks altogether, but it's worth a shot to try this place out if you're in the area. The decor is nice inside and IGable, servers seemed friendly, and food comes out quickly. read more

Stopped in to check it out bc I always love a cute new Mexican place in my hood. Loaded up the menu on my phone and immediately left. While notified auto gratuity is legal, making it 20% on EVERY check is just rude. And in NY, charging people 4% for your credit card fees is illegal, even if you tell them ahead of time. Restaurants don't have to add insult to injury. read more

Came with a birthday group and it was fun. Found out when we got the bill that we'd been charged for expensive tequila without ever ordering it...if you order a basic margarita from the menu you shouldn't be given and charged for more expensive. Would not recommend. To clarify, they told my friend they do not have Jose Cuvero and we took a picture of it ten minutes later at the bar. Seems like a shady business practice to charge people more. Will not be back or recommend. read more

The service here is horrible! We've been in here for over 30 minutes and had to beg the waitress to order a drink. We have been waiting for her to come back to order from the taco Tuesday menu and let's just say, she keeps running by us and we are still hungry. I watched people who sat down after us now getting their food. I'm starting g to feel that it's because we are the only African Americans in here and everyone else in here is Latin. Noche de Margaritas just opened on Steinway Street and has fabulous Mexican dishes in a very festive atmosphere! I love the Mexican- themed artwork, murals, neon, and the wall of colorful skulls. They have live music too and the Margaritas and cocktails are exceptional! read more
