Stopped in here a few times over the past several months trying to get an appointment for a 1 hour…read morereflexology massage, and have not had any luck yet. When I call them they are nice and professional on the phone. When I go into their business in person though, they are short and a bit rude to me. Maybe they don't like big, bearded, tattooed biker looking men, not sure. I am always told there is about a 1 month waiting list to get a massage here, and they are about $80. I am used to getting same day appts when in Indy, and all over the world when traveling, for about 1/3 the cost, but was willing to give this much closer local place a try. I told them I would go about 2 times per week since they're so close to me, if they did a good job. I have left my name and number with them in case anyone else cancelled, so I could take their spot on short notice. But I never got a call from them. I asked them why they don't hire more masseuses, if they are booked solid for a month in advance. They did not like my constructive criticism or what seemed to be an unintentional attitude on my part. I was given a snippy reply, then I did comment that it's great the owner is making so much money she can afford to turn away business due to people not always being able to plan 1 month in advance for a massage. As I travel often, and am not sure when I will need my aches, pains, sore muscles, and stress relived with a calming massage 1 month in advance, haha. I mentioned to them that I go almost weekly to reflexology massage places in Indy, and I made it clear, I'm not seeking a happy ending, just a relaxing massage, haha, and that really agitated them when I mention the Chinese places in Indy, as this place tries to tell me that the Chinese places are not professionals and licensed or even at the same skill level they are. I have had Chinese massages from Indy to China itself, and they seemed very skilled to me, as I love them. And since I was never able to get an appt at this place, I do not have any way to compare their bragged about superior skills to what I normally get. I wish a Chinese reflexology place would open in Shelbyville, they would have my business quite often. Until then the closest and best place I can get a massage is China Happy Feet on the east side of Indy near 10th Street and Arlington Ave.

Out of curiosity I decided to check into this business today while running some errands downtown…read more The outside sign said the business name was "All About You", a cosmetology salon. Inside it appears there are other business suites such as an Insurance business. There is a directory on the wall to guide you to the business suite you are looking for. The first door I came to was a hair salon. I took a peek inside and was greeted by a friendly hairstylist, her name is Gabe. I informed her I had never been inside before and was wondering what type of services were available as far as the cosmetology. She invited me to come in and took me to the next room to meet the owner. I told them I saw their listing on Yelp, but there were no previous reviews and I would like to to do a review on them if she would like. Gabe went back to tend to her customer in the other room and I thanked her. The owner was painting a young girl's fingernails, while the mother waited and there was one other customer sitting in a large chair used for pedicures with the whirlpool attachment. There were two of these nice pedicure chairs. That's about the only feeling of "nice" I got...the owner would not even take a second to look up at me and said "I don't have time for this, I'm running behind". Seriously... I didn't ask for a full blown interview! I was taken back by her response, looked around briefly and went back up to the hair salon. I looked at hair sprays to see what products they sell and they carry Kenra products. These were a little higher price than what I normally see for these type of sprays. I thanked Gabe for her time and asked if she took walk-ins and she indicated since she was currently the only stylist and her schedule did not permit it. The customer promptly said, but she (Gabe) is worth the wait! I said I have a regular lady that cuts my hair, but would definitely consider her sometime. I did notice signs that said they were looking for another stylist and Gabe confirmed that. The hair salon portion of the business was very roomy, clean, and I think I saw 4 styling chairs, along with hair dryers and the typical hair styling supplies you normally find in a hair salon. I am disappointed that my visit with the owner, was not more positive as I certainly would have considered trying her business, but most likely will not attempt that in the future. I would however, give Gabe a try if I ever need to try a new hair stylist. Hopefully, someone else going into the Cosmetology business as a customer will have a better experience than I did. I left feeling that this business was "not all about me" so I would have to disagree with the name of this business. I will break this review into two sections: Cosmetology - 3 stars for cleanliness, cute shop, and sold some cute little jewelry items, but need to knock off a couple stars for the unfriendly welcome. Hair Solon - 4 stars - since I cannot attest to the quality of the services. The room was clean, cool, and Gabe was warm and friendly and I would consider her as a hair stylist. Overall, this would be rated 3.5 stars in my humble opinion. Review #14/2016

So I am not sure if they are all affiliated together or not. So either the name or the address is incorrect on this listing, ha, I don't know. So anyways my review is for the place named Silky Nails that's in the new small strip mall building across the road from Rural King. The location was clean, had several customers and a few nail techs, lots of choices of nail colors, and they offer mani and pedi both for a discount, was about $45 for both. The relaxing large chairs you sit in with the hot water soaking your feet are very nice. The staff speaks English and seems to be pretty good at what they do. The other customers seemed to be happy with the service they received. These other reviews may be for the original place in Rural King parking lot. Maybe that place changed it name and this place unluckily choose the same name, haha, I don't know. But I don't see any reason to give them a 1 star from my experiences. Seemed good and fine to me.
