Out of curiosity I decided to check into this business today while running some errands downtown…read more The outside sign said the business name was "All About You", a cosmetology salon. Inside it appears there are other business suites such as an Insurance business. There is a directory on the wall to guide you to the business suite you are looking for. The first door I came to was a hair salon. I took a peek inside and was greeted by a friendly hairstylist, her name is Gabe. I informed her I had never been inside before and was wondering what type of services were available as far as the cosmetology. She invited me to come in and took me to the next room to meet the owner. I told them I saw their listing on Yelp, but there were no previous reviews and I would like to to do a review on them if she would like. Gabe went back to tend to her customer in the other room and I thanked her. The owner was painting a young girl's fingernails, while the mother waited and there was one other customer sitting in a large chair used for pedicures with the whirlpool attachment. There were two of these nice pedicure chairs. That's about the only feeling of "nice" I got...the owner would not even take a second to look up at me and said "I don't have time for this, I'm running behind". Seriously... I didn't ask for a full blown interview! I was taken back by her response, looked around briefly and went back up to the hair salon. I looked at hair sprays to see what products they sell and they carry Kenra products. These were a little higher price than what I normally see for these type of sprays. I thanked Gabe for her time and asked if she took walk-ins and she indicated since she was currently the only stylist and her schedule did not permit it. The customer promptly said, but she (Gabe) is worth the wait! I said I have a regular lady that cuts my hair, but would definitely consider her sometime. I did notice signs that said they were looking for another stylist and Gabe confirmed that. The hair salon portion of the business was very roomy, clean, and I think I saw 4 styling chairs, along with hair dryers and the typical hair styling supplies you normally find in a hair salon. I am disappointed that my visit with the owner, was not more positive as I certainly would have considered trying her business, but most likely will not attempt that in the future. I would however, give Gabe a try if I ever need to try a new hair stylist. Hopefully, someone else going into the Cosmetology business as a customer will have a better experience than I did. I left feeling that this business was "not all about me" so I would have to disagree with the name of this business. I will break this review into two sections: Cosmetology - 3 stars for cleanliness, cute shop, and sold some cute little jewelry items, but need to knock off a couple stars for the unfriendly welcome. Hair Solon - 4 stars - since I cannot attest to the quality of the services. The room was clean, cool, and Gabe was warm and friendly and I would consider her as a hair stylist. Overall, this would be rated 3.5 stars in my humble opinion. Review #14/2016

First time he didn't give me a time frame he just said come back later so I wrote my name down and I gave them two hours because there was four people in front of me thinking that's a good enough amount of time, well once I got there they remove my name from the list so I had to write my name down again and wait again. So I asked before I left is an hour a good enough time and he said yes, so once I come back after an hour I sat there for another hour with my 4 year old son and then I got a very very rude lady that I will never let you my nails again. My nail chipped tonight so I'm going back tomorrow to raise hell.

This was the worst experience that I have ever had. First of all, my friend and I sit down and say…read morethat we want acrylic nails and they just try to paint them...if you are doing nails as a job, you need to know what acrylic is. Then, we get told to change stations, no big deal there, but my friend sat for 30 minutes without anyone even touching her nails. When a guy finally went over to do her nails, he stayed on his phone for the majority of the time and would walk away for no reason. That is incredibly poor customer service in and of itself. But this is where I have my biggest problem. Every single one of my fingers bled and it looks like a butcher was trying to work on my nails. Instead of wiping off the blood, they decided they were just going to paint over it. They also sanded into my nails so much that I was pulling my hands away in pain. When I wash my hands or take a shower, it hurts so bad I am almost in tears because of how deep into the nail bed they sanded and because of how far they cut into my cuticles. And the icing on this whole disastrous cake, my nails look horrendous. They are all a different shape, they are crooked, and the paint isn't even. Oh and by the way, if you want a receipt, you better not pay in cash. They refused to give us a receipt when we paid in cash. So if you ask me, it sounds like there is something fishy going on there. I'm sorry for having to sound like a horrible human being, but someone needs to warn people about what they are getting into if they go here.

When the coloring was done, i noticed that Eli was having a problem brushing my hair and i can feel how dried and damage it is already. I tried telling Eli about it and this is the only response that i got.. and quote " I understand your hair is a bit damaged, however when you came in your hair was very compromised with multiple colors as well as splat. I did everything I could to give you the result you were looking for. This was a total color correction. We could do conditioning treatments until your next appointment if you would like :)". not even apologetic about it, and kinda blame my hair that it' was my fault that the treatment made my hair damage. He will use his smart phone to check in as a waiting customer before arriving, this way he usually does not have to wait at all. Just walks in past all the others sitting there waiting and gets called next, like a big shot, lol. As not too many people know you can schedule a hair cut here on your smartphone. If it was payday he will pay the full price of what I think is $12.99 for the basic haircut. If it is a non-payday week, he will come to me and ask if I have any coupons that arrive in the mail for a $7.99 basic haircut. And he will take and use the coupon and save some money. Be sure and look for coupons in the local mail if you want to save money on a haircut here. There are two of these in town and he has been to both many times. He does not have a favorite stylist, and just takes first available. He is in and out quickly, in I guess less than 30 minutes total time. He is normally always very satisfied with the haircut he receives.
