I called this salon, the owner of more than 25 years at this location was working and got me in for my highlight. Wow, what a great experience. My hair looks awesome! I will return for sure! Out of curiosity I decided to check into this business today while running some errands downtown…read more The outside sign said the business name was "All About You", a cosmetology salon. Inside it appears there are other business suites such as an Insurance business. There is a directory on the wall to guide you to the business suite you are looking for. The first door I came to was a hair salon. I took a peek inside and was greeted by a friendly hairstylist, her name is Gabe. I informed her I had never been inside before and was wondering what type of services were available as far as the cosmetology. She invited me to come in and took me to the next room to meet the owner. I told them I saw their listing on Yelp, but there were no previous reviews and I would like to to do a review on them if she would like. Gabe went back to tend to her customer in the other room and I thanked her. The owner was painting a young girl's fingernails, while the mother waited and there was one other customer sitting in a large chair used for pedicures with the whirlpool attachment. There were two of these nice pedicure chairs. That's about the only feeling of "nice" I got...the owner would not even take a second to look up at me and said "I don't have time for this, I'm running behind". Seriously... I didn't ask for a full blown interview! I was taken back by her response, looked around briefly and went back up to the hair salon. I looked at hair sprays to see what products they sell and they carry Kenra products. These were a little higher price than what I normally see for these type of sprays. I thanked Gabe for her time and asked if she took walk-ins and she indicated since she was currently the only stylist and her schedule did not permit it. The customer promptly said, but she (Gabe) is worth the wait! I said I have a regular lady that cuts my hair, but would definitely consider her sometime. I did notice signs that said they were looking for another stylist and Gabe confirmed that. The hair salon portion of the business was very roomy, clean, and I think I saw 4 styling chairs, along with hair dryers and the typical hair styling supplies you normally find in a hair salon. I am disappointed that my visit with the owner, was not more positive as I certainly would have considered trying her business, but most likely will not attempt that in the future. I would however, give Gabe a try if I ever need to try a new hair stylist. Hopefully, someone else going into the Cosmetology business as a customer will have a better experience than I did. I left feeling that this business was "not all about me" so I would have to disagree with the name of this business. I will break this review into two sections: Cosmetology - 3 stars for cleanliness, cute shop, and sold some cute little jewelry items, but need to knock off a couple stars for the unfriendly welcome. Hair Solon - 4 stars - since I cannot attest to the quality of the services. The room was clean, cool, and Gabe was warm and friendly and I would consider her as a hair stylist. Overall, this would be rated 3.5 stars in my humble opinion. Review #14/2016

this is my first time at this salon, i was hoping i would've a good experience but it was a…read morenightmare for an overpriced damaged hair and scalp result. i wanted to do blonde, but since my hair was black, have a color and blonde at the bottom my stylist Eli said we need to do session for it, we ask for estimation of it and he said it was just $150.00 but by the end of the treatment he said it's now $250.00, what i also notice from the process is that he keep asking his colleague jen what to do like his not sure of what his doing, while I'm at the dryer i can feel my scalp is already burning from the bleaching, but i kept quiet and hope that he'll do it properly, then suddenly he said if it is okay to cut my hair half since my hair is blonde at the bottom coz he don't wanna damage it more and convince me that my hair is dead anyway. When the coloring was done, i noticed that Eli was having a problem brushing my hair and i can feel how dried and damage it is already. I tried telling Eli about it and this is the only response that i got.. and quote " I understand your hair is a bit damaged, however when you came in your hair was very compromised with multiple colors as well as splat. I did everything I could to give you the result you were looking for. This was a total color correction. We could do conditioning treatments until your next appointment if you would like :)". not even apologetic about it, and kinda blame my hair that it' was my fault that the treatment made my hair damage. I kinda regret giving him a tip $80.00 for a messed up work. I will never ever coming back at this salon. im so disappointed of this experience.

I have been going for over 1 year now to get my hair occasionally highlighted and trimmed. I have had nothing but good experiences there and the people are so kind. The atmosphere is very nice, and as the store itself is very lovely, and clean. After I had gotten my hair highlighted and trimmed I went to school the next day and had gotten many compliments on my hair. Even by people I barely knew or would never have thought to compliment me. People asked me where I had gotten my hair done and they started going here as well, and also got the best results they could have asked for, as I did. So if you want to have marvelous, beautiful hair, this is the place to go, you have my word!
