I really don't like giving places bad reviews but the service I got for my FIRST visit was completely unacceptable. 1. The stylist I scheduled with was literally 15 minutes late to our appointment because she was out at her car talking to her boyfriend.. 2. I was getting color treatment (low lights). She left me sitting in the dryer area for over 35 minutes *past* when the dryer timer went off. My phone died in that time because I was waiting so long. Why? Because she was too busy talking to another client about coronavirus. I actually thought she forgot about me. I was about to go get her when she came back to me. 3. After this appointment, my hair was very damaged. Probably because I was left with dye in my hair so long. It fell out in clumps for weeks after. I've had my hair dyed many times in the past and this has never ever happened to me. No professional stylist has EVER left me that long. I don't care that she had another client.. it's whatever. Make your money. But for Christ's sake, don't stand there and talk to them for 20 minutes when you have another client with chemicals sitting in their hair. I tipped her regardless because I'm not an asshole. But I'm never coming back. Worst hair appointment ever.

Initially, I had my appointment scheduled for Wednesday March 13th with Bre. I showed up to my…read moreappointment to be told I should have received a voicemail letting me know Bre needed to reschedule. I did not receive a call or voicemail at all. I was then told I could come back Friday March 15th. I thought it would be with Bre but it was with Laurel instead. I showed her a picture of what I was wanting and stated that I wanted to use the same dark brown Bre used the last time and go lighter on the blonde. She said ok and went to mix the dye. She came back with just highlight and I asked about the brown. Without checking the color she said she knew she needed to get the brown and went to mix the brown. After applying color I realized she did not color all of my hair. Only the top portion was colored. She left the bottom half of my hair alone. Once completed I went to my car and realized there is hair above my right eye that did not get colored at all (making me look like I have a receding hairline) and the top was patchy. I went back in and showed her the patches and explained the entire top should have been the dark brown I previously got from Bre and there should not be any patches of blonde or highlights on the top. She said ok we will get this corrected. She said she understood that the top was to ALL be dark and highlights were not to be near the top of my head. I also told her the color I got last was a mix of two colors to get the dark brown. She said she used that but it didn't come out the same as when Bre did it. So she said she'd use a darker color. Once done again she did not dye all of the top and left highlights throughout the top. When I said it's still splotchy and still has highlights she responded with usually a balayage has highlights all over. This is not anything close to what I showed her. I am not happy that I have to go to work looking like this. This is embarrassing and unacceptable that I wasted my time to show up only to be turned away and come back two days later to waste almost 4 hours of my day to look worse than I did when I came in.

Regarding my complaints, they are about "Nette". If I didn't have this run in with her, I'd be rating this business a 5. I communicated with her that I want braids because I'm not ready to commit to Locs yet. It's my own choice. The stylist was petty and kept insisting that I don't have enough hair, but I have an afro, which is more than enough. Even if it was short, that's not up to the stylist to decide. A week goes by and it's time for my appointment. I arrive early and she's upset that I enter the room to tell her I'm here while she's doing another client. She comes out and says, "You can have your little deposit" and hands me off to a different stylist. Completely disrespectful! She goes on to do 4 other clients at the same time and can't even focus to do each one. Two of them were laying down waiting for her to dry their hair for 30 minutes for no good reason. She then went on to rant about her problems with her son and how crazy she (Nette) is, as well as call him and tell on the phone and all this other drama. No one wants to hear any of that. This is a professional business. Why would this be happening here! If you are looking for a stylist there, I recommend Shaquita. for haircuts, I've only gotten my hair cut by Coach and not one of the other guys in the shop, so I can only speak on coach. Of course he cuts hair well, as he's the owner. The overall vibes of the shop are pretty comfortable. If you love sports, you'll fit in very well. There's always good conversations here as well.

He particularly loves Tad (the only male barber there), who loves basketball just as much as he does. He feels very comfortable and enjoys the classic barbershop experience. He loves to get a line art on the side of his head, and Tad makes the process fun and exciting! The barbershop is conveniently located and has plenty of parking. All the barbers are very sweet and skilled. New online scheduling system has cut down the wait time significantly, which we appreciate.
