    Noa is a true nail artist, not just a technician. I've been seeing Noa for gel X manicures and I'm consistently impressed by her artistry and attention to detail. Whether I come in with a reference photo or just a vague idea, she always nails it. Her designs are creative, clean, and completely customized. Noa has an incredible eye for color and composition, and you can tell she really takes pride in her work. She's also super responsive and professional with booking and communication, which I really appreciate. And best of all? Her gel X manicures LAST. I'm rough on my hands, and I can easily go 3+ weeks without chips or lifting. It's honestly the most durable and beautiful work I've ever had. If you're looking for a nail tech who is reliable, artistic, and consistently delivers stunning, long-lasting results--Noa is the one. Total gem!

Kicked me out of her salon because I asked for my cuticles to be pushed back more. If you're in disbelief, so am I. I went to Hai for my wedding nails in 2014 and was happy with her work. Started coming back weekly to her this year and have seen her about 6 times. She's adorable and I loved talking to her about skincare and beauty treatments. I just can't believe how she treated me today. I may be a slightly picky client, I know that. But why can't you be when you're paying top dollar for a service and coming weekly?! I always give her feedback of her work the next time see her, like: the last mani I had was so beautiful and stayed on for a week! or Hey, last top coat left lines the next day (light pink nails photo) or the polish didn't go to the edge of my nail so it left that part exposed and brittle which caused breakage. Again, I'm not going to apologize for that. I don't know if she was having a bad day today or what, but it's completely unacceptable what she did. First off, I could tell she was in a rush but that doesn't mean I'm not allowed to give feedback or that my appointment is less important than others. I asked her to clean under my nails one more time because there was still dirt. She handed me the tools and asked me to do it because she didn't want to poke me. No big deal, I thought. That makes sense. I don't know if that pissed her off or what because when I asked a few moments ago if she could slow down and push back my cuticles a little more, she snapped. I said I'd be happy to forgo my pedicure so I could get a slower manicure. she said "you know what, I may not be the right fit for you so let me just stop". WTF?! I asked her if she had another client because I could tell she was rushing and she said yes. She apparently doesn't believe in pushing back the cuticles too much because it will cause infection. I said why didn't you just tell me that then instead of kicking me out. I'm a reasonable person and it's not like we had any tension before or bad vibes. So weird! She begrudgingly finished my mani (burgundy photo) after I explained is Saturday and no one else can take me last minute. And I still didn't get my pedi. And sure enough, her next client came strolling in one hour after my appointment time. Funny, normally we always allow 1.25-1.5 hours for mani/pedi, not try to cram both in an hour. I'm sorry I had to leave this review, but it was well-earned. Hai could have done 20 awful manis on me and I still would not have left a bad review if she was nice. And there was one time she completely forgot about my appointment and had to drive down to the shop after I called her. Again, don't really care about that, we are all human. But the service today (or lack there of) was horrendous and just negated every prior experience I'd had. It was completely awful and made me feel like crap. In response to the Salon's reply: A quick "I don't feel comfortable pushing back your cuticles" would have sufficed instead of abruptly quitting the job and me having to talk her into finish it. I didn't want a free mani. I wanted good customer service.

The ambiance is nice, their pedicure chairs have to be my favorite. I've never been in a more comfortable chair that feels and looks luxurious. For a regular gel pedicure, they charge $55 which included a hot stone massage. The lady who did my toes, confirmed if the shape looked good and was patient when I was a little indecisive with which color to go with, which I appreciated. My toes came out great, so much better than what I walked in with! Definitely worth it, if you're looking for a nail salon that offers a relaxing pedicure experience in Burlingame.

I was initially seated with one nail tech, I believe his name was Leo, who randomly decided someone else would take over. He didn't go help another client--he just stopped working on me and passed me off, which already felt unprofessional since he sat down few seats down from us just chatting. The second nail tech, Tina, was extremely rough from the start. I had to pull my hand back and say "ow" multiple times. She filed aggressively without checking length or shape and repeatedly filed my actual skin. Halfway through, my fingers were burning. She wasn't wearing gloves so as she was cleaning the polish up, she was using her nails that didn't look clean to dig up my skin and polish. 2nd, The color wasn't what I asked for, but I agreed to it anyway because she kept showing me options that weren't even close to what I requested. I was trying to be respectful and not cause a problem and just settled for this color. Furthermore, the polish application was a mess. She constantly repainted and removed polish on every nail using a buffer, nail file, and even a paper towel. I've never seen nail polish removed that way.. weird. The final result was bumpy, uneven, and sloppy, with polish all over my skin. By the end, both of my thumbs were swollen and slightly bleeding. Instead of stopping, she kept filing my skin and drilling around the sides, making the pain worse. I stayed patient thinking that she'll clean it up properly, but I realized this was truly her final work. At this point, I let her finish and asked for her manager. When I asked to speak to the manager, the nail tech became defensive and started yelling in her own language. I didn't cause a scene and I wasn't rude, but the change in tone was obvious and made me so uncomfortable that I started crying. The manager offered and gave store credit, but that doesn't change the fact that my skin flesh has been filed down multiple times and I left in pain. I walked out with injured fingers and nails that looked extremely sloppy. Please listen to the bad reviews. I'm not sure how this place has a 4-star rating. A nail appointment should never end in pain, and tears. I will never return and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
