This is exactly the kind of maximalist art I was looking for. I attached photos of the inspo I sent as well as my own nails- the left thumb that she painted on just looks amazing. Check out their Instagram highlights for her work, she does an amazing job. I rarely get my nails done since I'm trying to preserve their health more, but I don't regret coming to this Nail Box location at all. It is definitely on the pricier side and if you book advanced nail art on their website it starts at $120 so I think I would've saved a few dollars had I gone through their website directly, so keep this in mind!

I opted for a combination gel manicure and gel pedicure, which was amazing! The best part is almost always the warm foot bath, massage, hot stone massage and hot towels! When it came to the manicure, it's actually a dry manicure, which I've never had before, nor have I ever heard of them! Let me tell you, there is such a thing as a dry manicure and I prefer this way better than a wet manicure. I have eczema, so I am very selective of nail salons and this was great! The different drill bits that Tracy used are to exfoliate the cuticles and around your nail bed, so minimal cutting/trimming is done. I made another appointment through their website for 07.13.26, again with Tracy, to have my gel manicure and gel pedicure removed and this time chose the combination classic manicure and classic pedicure. Basic treatments as before except for regular polish, not gel. Loved every minute of it! I would highly recommend this place! Convenient location. Everyone who has worked on my nails here has been great. They add hot stone to a regular pedicure and don't rush to do my nails. My pedicure has also been lasting longer. I recently had a gel cat-eye mani and regular pedi done by Sharon. Although I didn't end up loving my pedi color, Sharon did check in and I said it was good. The cat-eye was perfect and I'll probably get it again in the future. The only things I think the salon can improve on is getting more comfortable chairs and some sort of entertainment in there. There's no music or tv to watch. The chairs are pretty low and when my legs are straight out, they fall asleep easily.

Kicked me out of her salon because I asked for my cuticles to be pushed back more. If you're in disbelief, so am I. I went to Hai for my wedding nails in 2014 and was happy with her work. Started coming back weekly to her this year and have seen her about 6 times. She's adorable and I loved talking to her about skincare and beauty treatments. I just can't believe how she treated me today. I may be a slightly picky client, I know that. But why can't you be when you're paying top dollar for a service and coming weekly?! I always give her feedback of her work the next time see her, like: the last mani I had was so beautiful and stayed on for a week! or Hey, last top coat left lines the next day (light pink nails photo) or the polish didn't go to the edge of my nail so it left that part exposed and brittle which caused breakage. First off, I could tell she was in a rush but that doesn't mean I'm not allowed to give feedback or that my appointment is less important than others. I said why didn't you just tell me that then instead of kicking me out. I'm a reasonable person and it's not like we had any tension before or bad vibes. So weird! She begrudgingly finished my mani (burgundy photo) after I explained is Saturday and no one else can take me last minute. And I still didn't get my pedi. And sure enough, her next client came strolling in one hour after my appointment time. Funny, normally we always allow 1.25-1.5 hours for mani/pedi, not try to cram both in an hour. I'm sorry I had to leave this review, but it was well-earned. Hai could have done 20 awful manis on me and I still would not have left a bad review if she was nice. And there was one time she completely forgot about my appointment and had to drive down to the shop after I called her. Again, don't really care about that, we are all human. But the service today (or lack there of) was horrendous and just negated every prior experience I'd had. It was completely awful and made me feel like crap. In response to the Salon's reply: A quick "I don't feel comfortable pushing back your cuticles" would have sufficed instead of abruptly quitting the job and me having to talk her into finish it. I didn't want a free mani. I wanted good customer service.

My pedicures always last a month. The cuticles are always cut thoroughly. My nails are filed to the perfect shape and lengths. They are gentle with my hands and feet as well.
