This is a great spot if you're looking for a quick-and-dirty meal that is slightly more exotic than Chain Restaurant Meat Sandwich, which is a good 78% of the rest of the off-campus dining options within walking distance. To that end, it's great. But No Thai is kinda fast food as far as Thai restaurants are concerned, offering a pretty limited menu outside of your ordinary pad thai and frankly lackluster curries. I could conceivably bump up my review to five stars if they could diversify the menu and ingredients a bit. Everyone is super nice and they are insanely fast, which is giving this an extra star from what would normally just be a very much middle-of-the-road 3/5. read more

This spot was recommended by an alumni who had heard great things but never tried it so I was hesitant at first. Walked in and ordered the Drunken Noodles, Spring Rolls, and Thai Tea. Picked up my order and sat in the window to enjoy the busy street and people watching. The food was a 9 out of 10. Spring rolls and chili sauce was perfect. The noodles weren't cooked to perfection some over cooked slightly but the flavor of the chicken and vegetables were delightfully delicious. The Thai Tea is self serve so I was able to add as much or as little creamer and take a cup to go. I'd definitely recommend this gem and return when I'm in the area. I had the spice level on hot and it wasn't too spicy. Go Green! read more

For a fast casual Thai restaurant, we really enjoyed this. A good amount of spice and big enough menu. The service wasn't quite as fast as we had hoped but there were a lot of people in the restaurant at the time we went. I would definitely come back here in the future. read more

Excellent service and excellent food! I got the Pad Thai and it was so savory, not to mention it was a good sized portion for the price. I will be coming back here in the future! read more

The best spot for thai food that won't break the bank! It's not the most authentic thai food but it hits the spot when I have a craving and don't have much time. No Thai! - drunken noodles - Thai Near Me - East Lansing, Michigan

No Thai is one of the few places that was open on Christmas Eve in East Lansing so my boyfriend and I stopped in to grab some lunch while in the area. The interior was clean and mostly empty and the girl at the counter was really nice. We both ordered the pad Thai curry with chicken, medium spice. Their menu is pretty small but has many traditional Thai staples, with noodle, stir fry, and fried rice dishes. You can choose chicken, beef, tofu, or shrimp and they have 5 spice levels. Pretty typical of fast Thai places like this. Our food came out quickly and was super hot. It was also a really large portion - we definitely could have shared one entree but we took leftovers. This version of pad Thai curry had pineapple in it, which I hadn't seen before. I liked the added sweetness. The dish itself was just okay - I couldn't really put my finger on it but it just didn't have much flavor. The chicken also tasted like it had been cooked previously and was just reheated, which was slightly unpleasant. I'm a tough critic on Thai food because so far nothing I've tried can beat my all-time favorite local place. I also noticed (after we ordered) that there is a tiny note on the menu board stating that the posted menu prices include tax only if you pay with cash. So bring cash for a discount! Would I eat here again? Probably not. Lots of other good places to eat when it's not Christmas break. read more

I ordered the pad Thai and it was amazing!! I asked for a certain way to cook my eggs and they pulled through! Super delicious and quick.

Tried this place out before a game. daughters has celiac gluten allergy. ordered food, big portions, excellent service, priced right, food tasted sensational, with right amount of spices and didn't wait long for food to be served. Definitely earned 5*s! read more

Stopped in for lunch a few weeks ago, quite by dumb luck after walking out of a nearby pizzeria. My husband and I were shopping downtown and really needed to find a decent lunch spot. We chose No Thai simply because it was close and, I was starving and I hadn't had great Thai cuisine in a few months, so we decided why not. I had Drunken Noddle with tofu and he had Pad Thai.. both were excellent. The portions were quite large, particularly fir lunch, and the flavor profile of both dishes was sublime. We both opted for mild spice and it was definitely enough... I might try the hotter level spice next time, but the mild absolutely had plenty of heat. Our food hit the table pretty quickly and the price was right. I was surprised to find affordable, decent Thai food on a lark. Next time we're in town, we'll definitely be back. read more

Delicious food, super fast service! What else can anyone ask for? 10/10 going to eat here again

Overall, I would say that it is pretty good. I really enjoyed the different spices and really found the chicken and rice was the best option for me. They give you large quantities and a very comforting setting to be in good place for a special night. Very quick service. read more

Food is yummy and love all the vegetables with great portions! Service is quick and nice bright dinning area.

Writing this from Sparrow's ER with food poisoning from my dinner last night. Good luck if you go there, maybe you'll get lucky!!!

Food was cold. Staff was pretty rude. Go somewhere else in East Lansing... Taste of Thai is better.

Generally, a reliable venue to satisfy my Thai street food cravings. Hence, the performance today afternoon was a bit odd. Ordered a drunken fried rice with extra eggs and no white or green onions as stated on the cover. Yet... Mr. kitchen helper should pay just a tiny bit of attention before handing the takeout order to your customer. read more

I was shocked when I saw that No Thai didn't have a 5 star rating! This is hands down my favorite restaurant in East Lansing, maybe even in Michigan! I recently moved away, but in college I would get take out here almost every week. I always got the Pad Thai Curry and my boyfriend loved the Potato Curry. The Pad Thai is also great. The have great tofu that's perfectly fried and soaks up the sauce like a sponge. Yum! I can't say enough good things about No Thai. I will always stop by when I'm in the area or near their other locations. I will warn that they aren't kidding about spice! I always get the mild and even that sometimes has a little kick. read more

Went to this place recently ambience was just okay like I have seen better looking thai places. We ordered crab wontons, these were one of the best I have ever ordered, my son really enjoyed those. We also ordered Pad thai curry and Gang Pak. Let me just tell you the Gang Pak was amazinggg! The veggies were so beautifully stir fried like maintaining the proper crunch and taste and looked so fresh like there was a quality in veggies. Pad thai curry was average but not at all disappointing. Would love to go back and try more options. read more

Glad we tried it. My husband loved the potato curry. The Rangoons were stuffed full and perfectly done. The sweet sauce was delicious. Drunken noodles also very good. read more

This place is a gem! Very great pad Thai. I personally love the amount you get for the price you pay! Literally a $10 order of pad Thai lasts me for multiple meals! Their crab wontons were not my favorite, but their spring rolls are delicious. Beware: mild spice is VERY spicy. I personally love the kick that their pad Thai has. It is also extremely easy to order online & pick up! Definitely recommend. read more

I got the drunken noodles and drunken fried rice both with tofu and medium spice. Green peppers and shallots were the only veggies added in the noodles Tastes decent I found it a bit expensive for the portions they serve Both costed me $10.45 approx read more

Worst Thai food I've ever had. Ordered the Pad Thai and Pad Thai Curry and they tasted EXACTLY THE SAME. Even looked the same, although one was supposed to have red curry? Not only that, I've never seen Pad Thai look grey and creamy, and taste just as bland. I could hardly taste any curry in the curry version! Plus I ordered it medium spicy, and had to drown it in Sriracha just to get the barest hint of spice. Quickly abandoned the noodles for their satay, which is actually pretty good, so I at least didn't leave hungry. Also, they were putting chairs up and dragging trash bins while people were still eating... an hour before closing. Come on... I know this is right across campus and they cater to college kids, but this was a little ridiculous. read more

I'd never had Thai food before, but was told this place was very good so I went with my daughter. We were both VERY happy with our meals and the service was awesome as well. They were very busy but we didn't mind waiting. I'll be going there again for sure. read more

My go-to college restaurant. This place provides excellent food even when it's in the form of take-out. I always order the Pad Thai with the medium heat (the spice levels range from none to incredibly spicy) and tofu to top. I love the tofu because it's fried but very flavorful. The crab rangoons are huge and pair well with the plum sauce they provide. Their Thai iced tea is something I think a lot of people overlook but I've tried it and was pleasantly surprised. read more

Only chain East Asian restaurant I actually find to be anywhere near authentic. I love their drunken noodles with chicken. Their fried rice is phenomenal and rich with flavor. Man. Usually they hit. But this time they did to baby dirty. First. I was having a long day cause I was helping my girl move so I was tryna eat and keep it moving. I called 4 times. No answer. So when I get there I'm like maybe the phone off or something. Right as I'm about to order. The phone rings and she picks it up! I was hot!!!!! Like dog why y'all ain't just answer my call. So I'm waiting on my food, and now I'm curious so I call to see if she a pick up. She picked up and I hung up. I took a bunch of soy sauces for my troubles. Fuck that short Asian lady! My rice wasn't double sauced up either. 2/5. Smfh. read more

My go-to dish every time? Pad Thai curry noodles, medium spice, chicken with extra curry. I have a fond place in my heart for this place and find myself craving it. I went last weekend for the first time in about a year and ordered my usual. I was kind of bummed though because the dish was less creamy and more watery than usual (hence the star lost). Hope that was a fluke. read more

The food is tasty. But that medium sauce burned my fucking mouth! Still panting 20 minutes later.

No Thai! is always solid! Large portions cooked fresh to order for very reasonable cost. Wide variety of dish options ranging from noodles to rice to stir fry. Option for order customization allows for all sorts of unique flavor and spice combination opportunities. Personal favorites are medium spice drunken noodles or fried rice with tofu and green curry sauce. I definitely recommend dine-in, but forewarning, this place gets BUSY during regular lunch and dinner hours, so expect a wait (occasionally, upwards of an hour). read more

I reserve my one-stars for places I won't return to. You had multiple chances. I'd even give you the "most inconsistent restaurant" award if there was one. When I have a hankering for Thai, and don't want to drive too far, I relied on you for a "decent" approximation of my favorite meals. No more. For starters, how many employees does it take to change a light bulb? Really now, how many to clean the dang place? There are FIVE people standing around - including the one at the register SURFING THE WEB - and THERE'S TRASH everywhere. The floor is littered (not just a dropped napkin...), tables are dirty, and NO ONE seems to care. There's no line, only a couple of customers - essentially NO EXCUSE. And, back to that inconsistency problem... YOU'RE OUT OF SPROUTS! Which are an integral part of probably 1/2 of the dishes!!! GO TO KROGER or something. You're also only frying in nut-contaminated oil for some reason. I'm surprised one of your industrious employees even managed to put up post-it notes about your menu issues today. My last experience was ho-hum. I must have had the rude server mentioned in other reviews. But the food was alright, so I tried again. Sorry, but now YOU BLEW IT! read more

Never delivered my food, said it was my fault. Called them twice before closing and they never answered the phone. Wouldn't refund my order. Horrible customer service, rude manager. read more

No Thai! quickly serves up some satisfying Thai dishes at a reasonable price. The most impressive part of No Thai! is the speed at which the dishes come out of the kitchen. Don't be mislead, its not instant, but its fast for Thai food. The flavors are what I expect and fairly satisfying and portions are generous for the price. I think the entire experience here is satisfying but not really mind blowing or unique. I think the 3.5 stars is very accurate for No Thai! read more

No thai has pretty good thai food. I've been to the one in ann arbor and the spicy levels are definitely different. In east lansing the spiciness is definitely on the low side so if you're use to medium and you like spicy you should go one up so get it more spicy then you use to because medium isn't spicy at all. I usually get the pad thai shrimp which is always wonderful and my bf ALWAYS gets the sweet and spicy chicken with the spiciest you can get it which is verrrrry good i'd have to say. But if I had to choose to dine in or get it delivered I would definitely DINE-IN. It isn't as good delivered sadly. But its still a pretty awesome place to get some quick thai food. read more

Well, we were going to try another Thai joint in EL but it was closed for repairs so, a fellow steered us to this place. We were disappointed to discover that it's a "fast food" style place but we were craving some Thai cooking so I ordered the Drunk Noodles and Wifey had the Pad Thai, both mild because we'd never eaten there before. Also, the menu is sparse. Second downer: Price. $8.50 per meal not including beverage. Third gig: No soup with our meal. Very few veggies in either dish. On the up side: Portions were generous (but what Asian restaurant doesn't serve it up large-style?). Take-out containers are right on the counter and they're the nice sturdy type with lids. So, we'll stop in at the competitor's eatery and compare the two. I told the young lady at the cash machine that I patronize a Thai place in Flint that includes the bowl of soup, serves you at you table (like a real restaurant) and cooks from scratch for almost two bucks less. Parlay Voo a Humma-Humma............. read more

While my husband and stepdaughter were attempting to solve some math equations, the niece and I decided to make ourselves useful by picking up dinner. I have no problem admitting that I am absolutely useless when it comes to math, so I was glad to have a reason to leave and not feel like a giant dummy. Parking here is atrocious, so good luck trying to find a meter spot. Your best bet is to just hoof it if you live anywhere semi close. No Thai is one of the few options available for "late" take out, closing at 10pm. We got there around 9:30 and our order was hot and ready to go. I wouldn't call this my favorite food, but the dishes we ordered were a-ok.. i.e. just alright. I ordered vegetarian drunken noodles with tofu, we also had an order of tofu pad thai, chicken pad see u and chicken pad cashew. We all ordered different spice levels, though they were totally off. If you are sensitive to spice you're better off to order no spice. My stepdaughters "weak" spice (mild) was deemed pretty hot, my medium was like there was no spice, my nieces medium made her sweat and had her nose run and my husbands hot was not even medium. All of this is fine (though annoying) when you don't mind spice, but if you're like my stepdaughter whom isn't a fan, beware. They have a frequent food card (that's not what they call them, but they probably should), for every ten entrees you purchase you will get one free. Since we racked up four in one go we decided to take them up on it. Pro tip, you can combine points from different cards. read more

Wound up here when Taste of Thai was closed on Labor Day. Taste of Thai is my all time favorite Thai restaurant, so I was bummed when I was in town and they weren't open. Anyway when walking down GR we discovered No Thai and decided to give it a shot. Prices were reasonable, and portions were large. Nothing too exciting on the menu. I decided to try their Pad Thai Curry- basically Pad Thai with red curry mixed in. I love Pad Thai, and I love red curry so I thought it would be great, but it was only so-so. My brother-in law got their cashew chicken, and it was also only so-so. Nothing amazing from either dish we got. Not bad, but with Taste of Thai in town I would have no reason to go back. Service wasn't bad, the girl taking our order was nice and answered any questions we had. However I was kind of irritated when I got bean sprouts in my meal when I asked for it without. I hate bean sprouts, I think they taste like dirt, so it didn't help the flavor of my dish any. Overall the place was alright, but again, with Taste of Thai right down the road I wouldn't need to go back- even if ToT was closed. read more
