Will NOT be returning to No Sauce on 75th st! There are kiosks available to order from when you enter the restaurant. Unfortunately, they have not been set up properly and don't have all options available (I wanted to order a single link on the side and this option was not available on the kiosk). A worker there offers to take my order on his register instead. On the kiosk, the Oxtail dinner is supposed to come with two sides. It wasnt until after I got home that I realized I only received one side and it was sitting DIRECTLY under my oxtail - no separate compartment or container. Now my oxtails and bread are covered in cabbage juice and I didn't even get my other side. Manager at the restaurant simply offers an apology, stating that's how they do it, with no other type of remedy. Oxtail dinners only come with 1 side . $40 plus for this. First and foremost, let me say this those dinners that they were selling at the Black & Bronze: A Bronzeville Music Fest they should've be ashamed of themselves. They were not worth $16 at all!! I ordered Ribtip and Hot Link combo. They gave 9 Ribtips, 4 pieces of a cut up link and some French fries. They drowned the food in barbecue sauce. If the slogan is "No Sauce Needed", why are they drowning the food in sauce. Then on top of this, I end up getting diarrhea. That was the only food I ate at that event. Tik Tok is where I get most of my recommendations and No Sauce was coming up on my radar. I knew exactly where it was as a Chinese place was originally there. The place was clean. When I walked in no one was at the counter, but someone came towards the counter about 5 mins which gave me time to look over the menu. I ordered Chicken Wings and Turkey Tips. They told me it would be about 20 mins. So, I decided to drive home since this place is close. On my drive home I looked at the reciept and noticed that they rung me up for regular rib tips. I gave a call and the person just said Hello. No Professional greeting. I informed them that I wanted turkey tips and not rib tips and they let me know that they were sold out of turkey tips. I let them know I wouldn't be able to eat them, and they took care of the situation. The chicken wings were good, but the sauce was the star. I enjoyed it. The Customer service was okay, and the food was okay. I am still interested in getting some turkey tips so I will try again. read more

First timer! They just moved to this location. Had the combo today and it was EVERYTHING!!!! The sauce is to die for. The food was so fresh and the meet was falling off the bone. There was so much food I could only eat half. The combo had rib tips and I had a pork sandwich. They need to bottle and sell this sauce because I will be having dreams about it. I really wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and support this Black-owned business, but the experience was disappointing both times. This time, I ordered the turkey tips with fries, and my partner had the oxtails with mac and cheese. The turkey tips and fries tasted reheated, and the oxtails and mac and cheese both looked dry and unappetizing. For the prices they're charging, I expected fresh, flavorful food, but it simply didn't deliver. I'm all for supporting local businesses, but the quality has to match the cost. I was actually ordering at a restaurant next door and walked in this beautifulLy small BBQ JOINT . simple menu with tips, rips, and pulled pork sandwiches. picked up a half slab and just crushed it at my crib. no sauce. but then I had some mac and cheese and what I loved was that it was a true side item...not too cheesy, just cheese and flavor. felt like eating at the cookout except it was just me and my family at home. whoever owns this joint is doing it right, and I wish you all the best brotha! it was cool to listen to chill music while we waited for 10m and it was well worth it. I have been here over 5xs but this time I order large tip and chicken wings. Instantly when I start eating it, it taste like fish and I'm allergic to fish so I just threw it away, but I called up there to let them know that somehow the food was crossed contaminated with some fish and instead of them, taking ownership of it oh no we don't do fish which I know they sell fish. Rib Tips were great! The name 'No Sauce' makes total sense. You don't need any! The ribs taste good by themselves. Got the sauce on the side, it tasted great too. Fries were a bit soggy, but still edible. Would recommend and definitely eat here again. read more

My building sometimes gets food trucks to pull up for us to support. My kids lovesss ribs and had to have me to get some. The place is called No Sauce and the brick and mortar is on 79th. It was a fixed menu of Turkey Tips and Links, Pork Tips and Links, Brisket Sandwich and Brisket Nachos. The order taker was very nice and had pleasant disposition! Even when this older lady got jiggy with him. Not only was he the order taker but he had to cook too. The place is called No Sauce but both items were sauced. I guess I should have asked but I just assumed you it wouldn't be sauced. A fair assumption I would say. For the Ribs/Link and brisket nachos it was $27 dollars. The ribs had a good flavor but not tender enough, the link had a vinegary taste that I didn't like but my kids loved it! The Brisket Nachos were okay not enough cheese, the brisket was the texture of pot roast at the bottom of the roasting pan. It was just okay to me. How bout adding some green onions and sour cream. However my kids loved it. That's why you are getting three stars. I would say perhaps yesterday's performance was off do to the guy being the cook and the order taker. So I heard about this place from the black foodies on tik Tok. They've recommended a few places that I've tried and agreed with what they said. I happen to be in the area so I decided to take the wife for some bbq. We went to the location and was greeted by a friendly Male cashier. He chatted us up and took our order. Very courtous very polite. Suddenly another gentleman came from the back and as my wife and I were expressing our concerns about a bbq place attached to Az( we've never seen a bbq place there on visits or when i lived there) the gentleman starts talking with us. He told us how (they started as a food truck) and moved back to Chicago. The owner had gotten a divorce and came back to heal and help with his elderly mother. He began explaining how they smoke the meat versus traditional charcoal and the benefits of smoking. I was eagerly anticipating tasting the food this gentleman spoke of and obviously took pride in. He also told us about the homemade cake that I had to try. I was overly impressed. The food had very nice portions I ordered a large which took all day to eat and my wife ordered a small which she didn't finish. The smoking process had me impressed. The turkey was tender and delicious. They had slot machines for those wanting to kill a few minutes while their food is freshly prepared. My only complaint is there's no place to dine in. The gentleman who turned out to be the most modest owner has plans to expand and I hope that includes a dine in area. His energy his vibe and his cooking are all wonderful. I will be back and I recommend you try them as well. It's not the best neighborhood bit the food and service more than makes up for that. read more
