I have high standards, but Ray definitely earned my recommendation. I have no doubt that he will earn five stars from everyone. For starters, Ray is responsive. In the past, I've had people just not respond or agree to come by for an estimate and then disappear. Ray gave me an estimate the day after I called and then worked within a deadline to get the job done. Second, Ray made the process painless. He dropped off a color wheel so my wife and I could look at samples without having to go to the paint store. Once we selected the color, he picked up the paint and supplies and was able to get a discount. He was generous enough to pay for the ceiling paint out of his own pocket. Third, Ray worked hard and stayed until the job was done perfectly. When he realized that we'd need a third coat of paint (instead of the two we'd initially estimated) he rushed out to get it and didn't charge me for it. He also did extra patch work at no extra charge. When he was about to head home, we noticed and uneven part of the paint on one of the ceilings (Ray didn't cause the problem, it was due to an uneven surface). Even though it was late and he was walking out, he didn't complain or make some excuse. He grabbed his tools and fixed the problem immediately. Fourth, he made sure that everything was done to our satisfaction and went the extra mile. We asked him to patch a few areas throughout the house but we didn't have the right paint (the paint can was old and the paint had lost its color). Ray went out, bought the necessary paint and came by on his own time to finish the patch work the next day! Ray makes sure that he puts the customer first. Pros -Fair businessman to work with -Straight forward pricing -Good availability -Ray tries really hard to make sure customer is satisfied through the whole process Cons -Work done was average: marks on walls still visible on places from nail holes, small amounts of paint splattered on trim, ceiling and floors. -Left a bit of a mess behind: paint on floors and carpet, and trash in the house -Assistant not careful enough with paint: left dripping containers not on covers which resulted in small spills. I was a little disappointed in the project just because my expectations were so high based off the STELLAR Yelp reviews. Overall, I am happy with the job for the price I paid and would use Ray again.
