Then we went into the treatment room for our couple's massage. It was a beautiful room and a very inviting, relaxing space. Ena and Deja were our therapists. They were wonderful. Deja did my husband's and he has a lot of joint issues and we both regularly lift weights. She chatted with him before to understand what he needed and he said it was the best massage he ever had. Ena talked with me before my massage as well. We went through any issues I had in detail and she explained to me what I should expect. Listen I am not one to fall asleep during massages. I have never gotten that comfortable but I fell asleep twice. My back felt a million times better. It was the best massage I have ever experienced. After the massage they told us to take our time to get ready. When we came out Ena and Deja were waiting for us. They thanked us for coming asked us how we felt and then told us where they felt knots and tightness and even suggested some stretching etc. for us. After a back and forth, they stated they would "work it out". Upon entry there was no concern, we checked in and got in our robes to prepare for service. I was walked about to the massage bed and asked what areas I would like worked on, I shared where my areas of concern were and was told to get on the bed to prepare for service as my therapist left the room. He then came back to the room to refuse to service me due to me being "too intoxicated" and "stumbling upon entry". I was transparent in having a drink at brunch prior to entry, and you are served a mimosa (alcohol right?) upon entry to the spa which I barely drank. The manager offered me a "swag bag" and a seat in a salt room. I was appalled as there was no where in writing you could not have alcohol before a service nor was there proof of me being too intoxicated. I asked the manager to please notify my friends I would be leaving and if they would like to continue. The manager Aiko told me no, she did not know where they were and she didn't plan to go find them. I told her I myself would find them to end our time there, as the card on file had not been charged which she assured me of. I then went to look for each individual and each session ended within 5-7 minutes of service. I was clearly upset and expressed such while talking both in the locker room and lobby as I felt the manager was dismissive, rude, and offered a pathetic resolution. The manager rushed to the front lobby and charged us for all massages, even though she claimed we would not be charged and the carb on file is held. I called to follow up today and the manager was not only smug and rude but called me drunk as well because she was upset I disrupted services by finding my friends as she had previously refused to. Terrible service. I've seen reviews of the subpar massages provided and glad I did not miss out on a thing! Luxury cost does not always equate to luxury service.

It the room looks all BDSMish, but it's totally not. She uses drilled poles to steady herself. I was so apprehensive but excited at the same time. Mare's sweet disposition put me at ease. I really valued my experience because I didn't think about her bare feet. I was relieved and listened to the flute and waves. Since this was my first time at a Head Spa, I booked: - Rejuvenation 100 minute Head Spa ($275.00) - Blow Dry for Natural & Curly Hair ($60.00) FYI, the blow dry service is not automatically included. If not booked, you will leave with wet hair. My total came to: $335.00 The space was absolutely gorgeous! After checking-in, the hostess provided me a wrap, robe, fuzzy socks and slippers. The wrap/robe is plus size friendly - I was given a 5XL. Cubbies (with and without locks) are provided to store your personal items. After changing, Jayla was at the hostess stand waiting for me. She started with the scalp consultation - utilizing 4 different light to check for blood flow, oil build up, clogged pores etc. It was a strange thing to see a microscopic view of my scalp. We discussed hair products I am currently using as well. Was great being able to speak to her and she was familiar with the black owned brands I was naming. You will return for another analysis to compare before service vs. after service. From there, we went into a separate room for THE SERVICE. The bed was heated, pillow placed under my legs for lower back support and I selected a cooling/weighted mask for my eyes. I truly can not remember the last time I was that relaxed! Jayla was gentle with my hair and her pressure was great for the scalp massage. 10/10 service from her! A quick massage of the shoulder/upper arm is given. My only recommendation is for this to last a little longer. Also, adding a weighted blanket!! The drying/styling station is upstairs (~ 20 steps). Again, Jayla was gentle with my hair. She sectioned my hair for detangling, used a heat protectant and shine serum when complete. It's a hefty price tag. I wanted the experience, so I payed up. I can see myself visiting again. For a second visit, I do not feel another scalp consultation would be necessary and to save money will bypass the blow dry.
