She was easy to contact, has most questions answered for you on the FAQ page of her website (including tons package options and costs), and has follow-up emails (I can appreciate being a marketer myself). I came to her home studio for my trial and she was incredibly helpful! I knew much more about how I wanted my hair, but don't have the best make-up background. Dana was very helpful in showing options and letting me decide a look that suited me and made adjustments as we went. On the day her and her assistant, Aly, were on-time, brought all the supplies (including the chair and ring light), and wide awake and ready to go! They were quick and attentive for each of my bridesmaids and continued working on others while some of my ladies were late to arrive. They brought extra supplies for the ladies who decided on the day to add items like lashes too. Dana accepts PayPal too which made the whole process of paying easy and efficient. Both Dana and Aly have upbeat attitudes and made the whole morning fun and relaxing :) All 8 ladies (2 moms, 5 bridesmaids, and 1 bride) started at 6:45am & done by 12pm. I made several attempts to follow up regarding compensation, but communication became unresponsive, and I was ultimately unable to reach the business to resolve the issue. There was a good reason for that. Thank God we did a trial run. The makeup artist and hair stylist that did my daughter's trial were not any of the people on "The Team" you see on their website. From their conversation with each other, we could tell that they were VERY recent beauty school graduates and it showed. The hair stylist fiddled and fiddled for an hour and a half and my daughter's hair was still a disaster - the stylist's excuse was that she didn't bring the equipment she needed for an updo. (Don't most brides request updos? How could she be so unprepared?) We were there for HOURS just for the bride's hair and makeup. All I could imagine was us all arriving late (and looking awful) for the wedding because of their inexperience. Our wedding planner was able to find us a different vendor for hair and we crossed our fingers that Voga's makeup artist would do a better job on the wedding day, but then she abruptly quit the company a few weeks before the wedding. Voga offered us a new trial with a new team, but we no longer had any confidence in them. We are so grateful that our wedding planner was able to pull some strings and find us a new vendor for both hair and makeup at the last minute - Be Pretty. They did a fabulous job and my daughter looked absolutely gorgeous on her big day. All Voga did for us was a trial which revealed two very inexperienced stylists, who were not Voga employees - they were subcontractors. Voga offered us a new trial which we turned down. We lost more than $1500. I don't know for sure but suspect that they continue to take on new brides even when their team is already fully booked. Then they hire from the beauty schools for stylists to fill in. I hated losing the $1500 (no refund was given) but will be eternally grateful that we didn't get stuck with Voga on the wedding day.

My hair was getting out of control, so I searched high and low for someone who had good reviews that had done tape-ins before. That's where Jennifer came in. I emailed her in desperation telling her my situation and she got me in THE SAME WEEK, and she works late hours so you can actually schedule with her after work which I feel like never happens. So, scheduling with her was an enormous win - but the experience was even better. I left work and got there a little early, she got me right in and offered me champagne - which I guess I shouldn't have been surprised by given the name, but OH MY GOSH was it a nice surprise after a horrendously long day at work. Yes, please! She then worked on my hair and we chatted, she gave me some pointers on how to keep my hair extensions soft and healthy and she listened to exactly what I wanted. She teaches you the best techniques, how to incorporate them into your every day routine, and also shows you how you could mix things up for special events, etc. It was super easy to schedule my appointment online and link payment with tip as well. Joy is a great makeup artist, but also has a knack for teaching her craft.
