This cafe is a hidden gem in Neumann Marcus. I've been coming here for years. Once you are seated, the server brings a complimentary turnover with strawberry butter and a consommé. The turnovers are delicious! I ordered the crab cake sandwich, which is out of this world. It's served on a English muffin and the crab cakes were super fresh. It's one of the best crab cake sandwiches I've probably ever had. It's served with homemade chips and a side of fruit. You can't go wrong here. A perfect lunch spot in the mall.

The food and service were outstanding! We ordered the salmon, fish tacos, Waldorf salad and quinoa spaghetti. They were all fresh and so tasty. They also have great iced tea- my favorite was the spiced iced tea, it's very lightly sweetened. This is a perfect lunch place!

Such a classy place. Neiman's always puts such an extra special touch on everything they do. They still give you a shot of chicken consommé, not to mention the pop overs with strawberry butter. It's the best. The corn soup was the only thing I thought was terrible. It was watery and tasteless. The crab cake sandwich on English muffin was excellent and fresh. They gave two big crab cakes The baked potato wedges were a little on the soggy side but still good. Our server towards the end disappeared. The restaurant was nearly empty and we waited for about 15 minutes after we finished until I had to get up and take my credit card to the front. The server seemed oblivious. I am still leaving 5 stars despite some of the short comings because there is always room for some improvement but I appreciate the delicious food they serve here. It's a hidden gem.

NM Cafe's Mandarin Orange Souffle - A restaurant favorite.

From the moment we walked in, the vibe was perfectly executed for the spooky season. The decor was next-level: skeletons, mugs shaped like skulls and spooky trees, spell-cloud ceiling details, flickering lights, and more! Our table was set with free snacking kettle and waters. The cocktails were creative and delicious! We got the Cabin in the Woods and Super Devil Juice. Both drinks came in a festive spooky tree mug! We ended the night with a yummy Weisscream Sandwich. The ice cream was from Ray's Ice Cream! I loved that a lot of the bites collaborated with local restaurants in the area! If you're looking for a bit of Halloween flair, Weiss Distilling Co. hits the mark. It's perfect for date night, a small group of friends, or even a fun stop before dinner in the area. It's impressive to say the least. I have only been to three concept so far: Haunted Weiss, Wild Weiss, and the current theme Miami Weiss. Parking is all street and is mostly, if not entirely, free in Clawson. I would recommend reservations, but I'm a fly by the seat of my pants gal. Walking in near opening at 5 has always yielded good results. I have only come here for drinks, but I feel like they do have some light food on the menu. Or used to. They do have a popcorn machine and will serve you bowl after bowl. You'll need it with their yummy cocktails. This team is a well oiled machine. Everyone behind the bar works together to give you the best experience. Tina, our bartender, was super nice and dressed to kill in her sweet sunnies and animal print jumper. I stuck with rum based drinks and was pleased with the Broken Yari and Cafe Con Ron. Unique, well balanced, and flavorful. Weiss makes all the booze they will serve you, so these drinks can't be had anywhere else. They have mocktails too. You will not be disappointed! It's not gimmicky or cheesy. It's like going to the best party where no detail was overlooked.

Our server Scott was a sweetheart and the food came out pretty quickly. He even made me a mocktail that wasn't on the menu with grapefruit juice, cranberry juice and soda. My favorite item was the filet tips- the quality of meat was so good and it was seasoned well. It came with some goat cheese, peppers and arugula. I will say that it was a rather small portion of food though- maybe 6-8 bites of meat. The lamb lollipops were good with the balsamic drizzle but I preferred the filet tips since they were leaner. We also got the beet salad, the vinaigrette was good but otherwise the salad was just ok. Edamame was standard. Veggie/hummus tray was fresh. Lettuce wraps were good but had a bit of a kick. Service was a little slow on getting those first drinks... My issue was two things. At least a few times, I heard people who work there saying how great everything is. How great the HH is. This was to the point where it made it feel artificial. Kind of like some of the reviews here. The prices here are not great. Clearly they are hoping you order something when it's not HH, as the regular food / prices are about as high as I've seen for what they offer. Not sure we'll be back.

We sat at the bar and had to wait a while before even getting menus. This kind of service continued for the rest of the night and we honestly felt ignored and forgotten. Once we got our food (we ordered the Tacos Mexicanos) we had to wait again for silverware. The bartender never came by to check on us after receiving our food so we ended up having to flag down a different server. And then instead of being able to ask the bartender for a margarita, I had to flag down a different server AGAIN to put my drink order in. This place seemed super hectic and disorganized. Food runners did not seem to know where they were going and had to yell across the place to ask the servers who ordered the food they were carrying. Not sure if they don't number their tables but it was super distracting and made them look unprofessional. The food itself was mediocre. This is the outdoor space behind Mojave Cantina so they share a menu/kitchen. I thought the meats were quite dry and needed some acid or some kind of brightness to wake them up. I thought the space itself was really cute though. And I love a themed out bathroom and the sliding doors with the hook locks were super fun. Overall, probably would not come back to 54 West.

We had a few options for private rooms, but they suggested the main dining area for the lighting, which was really nice. There were multiple linen options we were able to choose from (pink options in pic) and these were included in the total cost. The whole room was set up according to how many seats we wanted at each table and they were fully prepared for us to start decorating as soon as we arrived. The personal bartender also arrived early and prepped the station long before guests arrived. The food was all delicious. We had buffet style (set up shown in one picture by fireplace). Way too busy enjoying ourselves to take pictures of food. The buffet was about 10 minutes later than expected, but there was a party of 80 at the same time and no one seemed bothered by this. We chose chicken tenders and fries for the kids attending and this was promptly served about 15 minutes before the buffet so the parents were able to help feed before getting their own food. Rolls- really classic white bread rolls. Exactly what you want. Green beans - these were sooo good! Very buttery and surprising! Potatoes- hasselback style, cut in halves. Also so buttery and perfectly salted. Tuscan chicken- thin sliced chicken breasts with sun dried tomato and a creamy Tuscan sauce. This was extremely delicious. Salmon- I cannot remember the flavor we chose but perfectly cooked and flavorful, cut into about 1.5" pieces so it didn't feel overwhelming to choose one of everything. Salad - classic salad with tomato and cucumber. We chose a ranch and vinaigrette. The table had Parmesan cheese, half and half creamer, sugar, and butter available. They allowed us to bring in our own cupcakes as dessert ($1/person) and served regular/ decaf coffee with this. This room could definitely fit more people. Our set up was 6 round tables of 6 but they were very flexible with how we wanted these set up and number of chairs per table. Overall, great experience. I can't wait to come back for dinner!
