I have been going to NJ Nails for 3 years for pedicures and eyebrow wax. Amy is my favorite for pedicures and eyebrow wax. She is simply amazing. I went for my first time, not to return. I received a pedicure and dip manicure. Two days later my dip manicure began to crumble (9 nails crumbled) Within the first week my pedicure was almost gone. I went back to have them redo my manicure. Two days later my dip manicure started crumbling again. I have never experienced this a dip manicure. read more

Not good! They get nippy if you ask them for "too much" when in fact I was just asking for my nails to be a little shorter. They do half ass job at cleaning under the nails. They do not give massages for pedicures even if you pay the extra for the fancy pedis. They literally just rub some lotion on your legs then take the rest off with a dry towel. If your looking for a color that's similar to a picture you have, they tell you to look yourself instead of helping you find options (which isn't that big of a deal to me), just adds to the not-so-good experience. Honestly my nails would've turned out the same if I just did them at home, so I don't plan on spending my money here again. read more

Had acrylic fill a week ago with gel overlay and gel pedicure. there was no communication on how I wanted the shape of my nails or that I wanted my toenails cut. So my toenails were filed and my previous lifting acrylics were side-filled which was not sufficient. I paid extra for cat-eye gel polish which was chipping in less than a week, nail popped off. When I went into the fix, they charged me, which my old salon never would have done when it was their fault for improperly doing the nails to begin with. I only had the one nail fix, and I'll go elsewhere to get a redo on the polish. They're only getting a two-star, because the place was clean. -3 stars, due to poor communication, poor gel polish quality, charging me for their improper application, and not asking about length or shape of nails. overall, I probably would give zero stars as I'm definitely not going back. read more

I am MORE then pleased with NJ Nails. We recently we moved here from the Orlando area. I thought I had the best nail tech in the world. That was until my first visit to NJ. I was fortunate to get Jack for my first appointment there. I have NEVER had my nails stay so perfect for so long. I am in the pool for one and a half to two hours a day, five days a week, and am very active - NOT ONE nail has come off and they look almost like a new set when it is time for a fill. This place did a lovely job at filling my old set of nails. The problem laid with the fact that it took twice the time getting them done, as it usually takes somewhere else. It felt like it would never end. Also, the price was higher than than typical at other places. So I'm happy with the look of my nails, but the experience and cost left something to be desired. Jack does a great job on my nails and pedi. Very pleased with his work. The lady in charge is pretty rude, especially on the phone when making your appointment. One more thing that would help improve their service would be for techs to pay more attention to their customer instead of each other. They yell and laugh back and forth in their language leaving you to feel they might be making fun of their customer. I was told to relax, but it's difficult to with the loud yelling. I was so ready to leave when my nails were finished. The place was clean. Techs need to pay more attention to their customer!!! read more

Totally disagree with the negative reviews! I have always been treated well here and get great service. I get pedicures, not nails or manicures, so I can't speak to thosr services. I also get brow & underarm waxes. All are very good! These are the same services as I've had at fancier spas for at least half the price! Ask for Twee. She is a sweet young woman, speaks English very well, and treats her customers like gold. (Note: She only works M-F, 9a-2p because she has small children in school). Worst pedicure ever. Stay away. Barely cut my toenails and lightly filed them and by lightly I think she was just acting out because she did not file them nor buff them. Burned my skin with her Dremel repeatedly. I had to ask if she did ingrown nails because she would've skipped that step all together which I would've been better off if I did. Then came the cheese grater file. wtf is that for Once again went through the motions without touching my foot. When I confronted her of course she acted like she doesn't speak English. Then when I went to pay she said $50...,I said for this? Like I was given the spa treatment. Then asked if I wanted to put a tip on my card. Not only rude but ballsy. Owner then yelled at me, "if you want cheaper get different polish". Why he said anything is beyond me ...normally an owner would try to make the situation better. They are VERY Very rude people. Needless to say I left there in tears with nothing more than my feet soaked in a tub of water and out $50. Never again. I'd give no stars if I could because they shouldn't be in business. On vacation and looking for a nail salon. I found NJ Nails and Spa. I didn't have an appointment and was told the wait would be about 30 min. I waited only 20. Since they were busy this was not a problem. I would advise you call ahead for an appointment if you don't like waiting. I found the shop to be very clean and the techs friendly. Do not go here! Will try to post picture of the butchering they did to my 82 yr old mothers foot on April 24th. She is now on antibiotics orally for an ulcer. It wasnt until last week that she got to the dr and we realized how bad it was. When I went today to let them know, I was told "IF" this happened she should have contacted to go to their dr! I have no idea why there are negative posts. I've been a customer for 6 years and have not experienced or heard of anyone locally complaining about any issues....and us seniors are quick to complain if warranted. I do agree the chatter and laughter is sometimes more than necessary but I wonder if they were speaking in English the complaining customer would be more tolarant.. Possible they do not feel comfortable with the natiality. Going back for my every 3rd-week visit tomorrow....happy with the service and staff. read more

I have been going to in jail since I arrived in Ocala Florida in 2017. I tried a number of salons for acrylic nails and pedicures and finally found in J nails and I have been very happy with them I go twice a month I have never had any problems I find that the people are always polite. Unfortunately when people speak about the technician speaking to each other in their own language and laughing I believe these customers are insecure and feel that the techs are talking about them. That so ridiculous. The salon in the last year has changed flooring and that makes a better impression than before. read more

I got a mani/pedi here and the nail tech did not sterilize the nail implements prior to using them on me. The nail clippers, the emory board, the buffer...all of these items had the previous customer's skin on them. I watched her take these items from a station where someone had just received these services and immediately use these same tools on me. The owner's son runs through the salon and likes to leave the front door open, letting in the heat. He runs up to the elderly folks waiting and scares them.
