Nick and Sean are awesome!! My wife and I are in our seventies. In our backyard we had two very tall 40' maples that we thought would have to come down because they were way to big for our subdivision lot. We were heart-broken to think we would have to lose them. Nick and his crew were working at another house around the corner when I was driving by so I stopped and asked if he could take on the challenge of big trees and a tight yard to work in. He offered to take a look so we arranged another day for him to come by. He came by in the morning with Sean at the time he said he would, looked over the yard and trees and asked if we would rather save them than lose them. He talked about how he could trim them into half their size and still keep the precious shape and shade we dreaded on losing. We were elated. We approved his plan and they started immediately, carefully threading each large limb and trunk sections around and through the covered deck and spa. When they were finished, the results turned to be better than what we had envisioned. Then they commenced on cleaning up the lot so that no one would ever guess they had been there. Of course, the commotion brought a couple of neighbors over, and after looking at my trees, insisted Nick take a look at theirs. A deal was struck and away Nick and Sean went on the new projects. Again, they completely cleaned the areas to the total satisfaction of the neighbors. I noticed that all the wood had been fed through a large commercial chipper and thrown in the back of the truck, so I asked Nick does he take it to the landfill, He said yes unless someone asks for fresh mulch material. I told him I wish I had thought to have him leave the mulch on the driveway when he was doing my trees. Next thing I know, he has unhitched the chipper and backed into my driveway, asking where I wanted the pile place - no charge. Before he left he asked me what more I was going to do with the back yard. I mentioned I was going into Puyallup to A&K Railroad Supplies to bring back a dozen ties to complete the back borders...only two or three at a time because of the size of my small trailer. He offered to meet me at A&K later that afternoon, since it was on his way back from his next job, and pick up all of them at one time and deliver back to the house. I was delighted, we struck up another deal and away they went to the next job. Later in the afternoon he called to let me know they were on their way to A&K, would meet me there, load and come back to the house, unload and help me carry them back into the back yard. Each one of them weighs approximately 200 lbs. And they did!! These guys are tireless, never stopped working, had some great laughs with them, and best of all, the pricing for everything they did fit well into my budget the boss (wife) allocated to the project. I would heartily recommend Nick and his workers because of their honesty, expertise and willingness to be remarkable in every aspect of customer service and satisfaction. We are very pleased with the service provided to us recently by Nix Tree Care, at our home in the North Beach neighborhood of Seattle. Two tall hemlock trees near our house were drying out and dying. Nick listened very carefully to what we wanted and then he and Cole did the work with skill and care. They left us with two high snags, with a few perch branches, that will be a benefit to birds and other wildlife while greatly reducing any threat of damage to our house. The work was done efficiently but with an emphasis on safety, with minimal disturbance to adjacent plants or other features. We can give Nix Tree Care our highest recommendation. read more
