I received a message on Yelp from Kelly T. who is part of this family owned business. It now eases my mind that it is family owned and not a commercial company from Japan or something. From there Kelly and I began texting about cleaning my apartment with a focus on floors and windows (I have jalousies). To be honest, before I moved here over a year ago this place was not cleaned or maintained. My previous housemates were dirty and messy. It was a pigsty. The room I had moved into had a layer of dirt built into the floors and jalousies. It's the day of the cleaning, and I'm surprised they're working on the day after Thanksgiving, but it's a good thing. Kelly texts me "we are on schedule and should be arriving on time, depending on parking." I return the message to reply with, "please just come up, as I am not actively by my phone." I will still moving things in and out of my room into other rooms to sort. They arrived at 838am, I remember that as I was actually on my phone. Having finished moving things around. They said hello, I am not clear exactly who was Kelly. But one said ... "do you want to show us what you want done or exactly as your texted me?" From there I will infer that must've been Kelly. There was an elder gentleman walking around, giving directions and/or instructions to their crew of 5 or 6 people. I am going to guess that is Dean, the person who disappointed me two years ago. The owner? Not sure. I do wish they had introduced themselves... but I guess people don't do that anymore... but oh well it doesn't cancel out a star... perhaps it would give them 4.5 stars if that was possible. As I was home during the cleaning, I walked through a bit and I was impressed to see they had managed to open the top windows in my room. Which had been sealed previously with gap filler. I had scraped most of it out myself but lacked the strength to open the windows. I provided the person who I supposed was Kelly with Turpentine and he said they can try but it does look like it comes off easily. I also asked for help to attach one of the arms back to the window... as again I lacked the strength to push up the arm... haha. It's 935am I've seen quite some progress... not much progress on my own side though. But I'm happy they had some common sense as to start with the windows and not with the floor. I can hear the commadarie even with my music on, you can tell with it that these employees are happy and that's just another point for this company. It's 1150am and they are done and out of my apartment. Since I was home, Kelly had me walk through the apartment an hour or so before to see if there was anything I wanted to be done or that was missed. I was quite impressed. The windows were clean in every part of the areas I had asked, the cleanest they have ever been since I've moved in here. They could open and close on their own in each room including the bathroom. They cleaned the dust in the bathroom, the tub is white and clean, and the tiles are as clean as they will ever be. Let me tell you, I am impressed. They are open Monday thru Sunday, please call for a price quote. Their team did a fantastic job which is why I have gone from a 1 star review 2 years ago to this 5 star review. My hope is that they remain consistent in their customer service and cleaning. I recall being impressed with their cleaning last time but this time it was truly more impressive! :) Thank you to the entire cleaning team at Nisei Building Maintainence. A friend of mine was moving out a renter and a new renter was moving in the next day. When he went to inspect the house it was trashed! It looked like the renters hadn't ever done housework. Fuzzy stuff hanging from the ceiling fans, screens you couldn't see through, everything was filthy. Nisei said they could be there at 7am the next day and they were. They showed up with a great crew and did an amazing job of cleaning the home. The new renters were able to move in that afternoon. 5 stars for sure!!! read more

After working with this company to get an estimate on Schofield Barracks and have them come and strip and wax our floors. Come to find out that we waisted our time because they don't accept credit cards. We are in the military and we can't pay by cash or check only card!!!! Dean and his crew came to clean our condo following some renovation work and before we moved in. We inspected the unit right after they finished and found the floor was still quite dusty, so they came back a second time. The floor was just slightly better, but then we also noticed that the screens and glass sliding doors had not been cleaned very well, if at all (something I specified before their first visit), and a couple shelves were overlooked... but I did not complain again as we were waiting to move in and the timing was not good. Overall, I was extremely disappointed in the quality of their work. A lot of dust remained and the screens were brown when I wiped them myself. I will not use them again and would not recommend them for residential cleaning. read more

If there was a zero star rating, that's what I'd elect to give this company. They are over-priced for the poor quality of work they do-- I need to check everything and there is always something they've forgotten to do. Workers stand around doing nothing, talking story when one of the company's owners aren't present to supervise. Totally unreliable as well-- they frequently don't come on the date they agreed to, canceling on me at the last minute, after I've set aside the agreed upon date for cleaning-- if a bigger job comes up, they opt for that and leave me hanging. I was so fed up that I am wait listed for an opening with a more reliable company. read more

I don't know that much about flooring or construction, but I do know that great value, competitive pricing, and over the top customer service are all keys to success. This is the reason why I decided to try Nisei. I originally was referred to Kelly through a friend who had her home cleaned and was beaming about Nisei. Kelly came the first day to give a quote. He stayed and answered all my questions. We scheduled to do the wax treatments the following week. I was so impressed with the professionalism and efficiency of their work. They were in and out in under 3 hours! They were even wiping down the tables and cabinets of my office when they didn't have to! My flooring literally looks like there is brand new tiles!
