This place is off the charts good. Like eating home cooked Indian at a grandmother's home.

We tried Nirvana for the first time tonight and found out that six days ago it was actually renamed Saath. It is located in a strip mall right across the street from HomeGoods and Kohl's at the intersection of 202 and Skippack Pike (73). We were the only diners in on a Wednesday night, but the space was lovely and the food was fantastic. We had excellent service by Happy Grover (see pic). We shared two different types of cauliflower (Happy recommended the Gobi Manchurian and it was really great) and one lamb dish and everything was fantastic. It is a BYOB and they brought a cute little Bucket of ice for our wine. There was definitely takeout activity while we were there and we would definitely go back.

WOW. I have been looking for a local Indian place and Nirvana exceeded my expectations. The food is incredible!! I ordered the paneera tikka Masada and it was perfectly spiced and the sauce was the way I like it. A deep red, fragrant tomato sauce. The garlic naan was nice and thin, loaded with garlic. I enjoyed the onion kulcha as well. The gulab was perfection. I cannot stand when the balls are doughy and heavy. These are homemade and very light. The service was excellent as well. Very accommodating, always refilling water and we also got fresh plates for dinner which is always nice.

I am absolutely obsessed with nirvana their flavors are always impeccable and I'm told due to the infusion of Nepal flavors in their cooking. The Gobi Manchurian is hands down the best I've tried probably 20 different variations all around the nation and the crisp and flavor with this Gobi is unreal. My biggest complaint over the the past year I have watched my exact meal go from $12.95 to $19.95 a meal for the two of us cost $65.87 delivered. For essentially rice cauliflower potatoes and sauce. Very very cheap to produce I would understand if there was meat involved but there isn't. We order from here typically 2-4 times a month and may have to slow that down due to their insane price increase. Please consider making vegetarian options a bit more affordable as meat prices are on the rise. Still giving this place a 5 star because it's worth every rave I can give but that price is getting to be a little too steep.

Plastic found inside the naan! Call the health department! Avoid this place at all costs. :(

Inedible and plastic inside the food :( Chana Saag nirvana bhindi naan Food quality has gone down the drain. The channa saag had barely any channa in it and the bhindi was uncooked to the point it was inedible and had to be tossed. Also found plastic inside the naan. The chef is careless and management is absent. This place needs to be shut down and the health department needs to audit the cooking practices here. Go somewhere else and don't get sick eating here!

Update: we all got food poisoning. Horrifically sick. It was likely the mango lassi as that was in common between us four.

    Is the buffet open?

No Buffet. They have different Combo Meals Monday-Friday for lunch.

Is meat halal? If so, may I learn the source?

I've been there numerous times and it's not noted on their menu. I used to eat halal when I could find it and the chicken at this restaurant doesn't taste like it is nor have the same texture that I remember from the halal I used to purchase.

Is there a separate page for the Lafayette Hill location? This seems to be the only one that shows up on Yelp now.

It may be....for a short time they had another location that specialized in Nepali food. Nirvana in Lafayette hill is Indian cuisine at its finest...the cooks are outstanding, the kitchen is very clean and the owner is a very nice guy. We love…

We are still blown away by the amazing food quality and the lovely server who always genuinely treats us like we are family members, after having only met us twice! Even though it has been over 1 month since our first trip to New Era (I live in Manhattan and my partner resides in Phila), our server remembered everything we had told her about our food preferences and other friendly details shared with her. Our typical order is the Aloo Gobi, Chicken Chettinad, and naan. The food is always generously served piping hot, the chicken is fresh and tender, and the very flavorful curries are not watered down. The naan could not have been fresher; we immediately requested a 2nd order of naan after taking one bite of the pillowy goodness. It was as soft as a cloud. The kheer was sweet and creamy - simply expertly made just like the curries and naan. The chef here is absoutely incredible. He may have been the very kind gentleman that waved to us on our way out. Anyway, New Era Plymouth Meeting is one of Philly's best kept secret and now our top choice for Indian cuisine. We nearly walked into the place for a 2nd day in a row last night bc we were craving the curries again and all the genuine kindness. Don't let the modest appearance of New Era, Plymouth Meeting fool you. There is magic going on inside in terms of the food and service. Also, the interior is so clean and comfortable. Even the lighting is calming. We feel like we are being served in our kitchen by close friends. After regularly dining in various top Indian restuarants in Manhattan, the District and throughout the U.S. for over 20 years, I still wouldn't even hesitate to say that New Era has some of the best food, not to mention the friendliest and hardworking server and a fabulous menu! We can't wait to return!

We had been to Narberth once 2 years ago to walk and explore but didn't see this restaurant on that trip. Tried it last night, 8/7/26, for the first time and it checks so many boxes. First off, they were super attentative and polite when we called to make our reservation and our call from the car to inform of a traffic delay. The place is clean, except unfortunately since they do a lot of take out as we had observed, lots a flies get in and buzz around (exterminated 4 at our table during the course of our dining experience.) But don't let that dissuade you. They have a large menu, and customize levels to fit eveyone's taste. When trying new Indian restaurants we usually start off with basic dishes to get a feel from their cooking style. We shared two dishes: llamb rogan jost medium spice and chicken tikka masala aslo medium spice and an order of garlic naan (well 2 orders as we needed more and took some home... it was that good). Both dishes were exactly as expected and both for the most part were tender and moist. Lamb can sometimes be chewy. We loved our choices and dunked away into the sauces with the naan. Street meter parking and they are BYOB. We have booked marked Srinagar for a future pre-concert dinner in the area of the Mann Pavilon. See my food photos

Rather than gobi manchurian (consistently wonderful here) we opened with vegetable samosas. Served with condiments, the pastries are excellent, the way samosas should be. Last time I noticed a family eating what looked like spaghetti. I'd never seen pasta in an Indian restaurant, so of course I inquired. They assured me that the dish -- hakka noodles -- was worth trying. So we did, with shrimp, ordered medium on the spice scale. I'm adding this to my repertoire! I suggested that T choose a second entree, hoping he'd go with my tandoor favorite, chicken tikka. Nope, chicken korma. This is where Srinagar loses half a point. The sauce is excellent. It always is. But the cubes of chicken were dry. (Tikka -- NOT masala -- never is.) 6:00 on Friday, prime time for dinner, people straggled in. While they take reservations, you likely don't need them. Where they make their money is with takeout. A steady stream of customers picking up their called-in orders. I always enjoy Srinagar. Good prices, nothing fancy, responsive service AND (what I like in Philadelphia) BYOB.
