Solid Indian food, with a slightly modified very well executed flavor profile from its Nepali influence. The Lucha Paratha is delicious and very hard to find in Philly as an Indian bread read more

I ordered chicken tikka tacos, kale paneer, chili naan and gulab jamun. Seriously delicious, reasonable prices and portions. Definitely need to dine in next time. read more

Lassan - Indian Near Me - Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania

Sadly, once the new restaurant opened and the staff followed, the quality of both the food and the service at the Lafayette Hill location has slipped. I did go back a few times thinking that they just needed to work out the kinks. Unfortunately, not true. read more

I ordered chicken tikka masala and kale saag Paneer. I got a large quart of basmati rice and a garlic naan.. It was outstanding! Absolutely delicious... Incredibly fragrant and the flavors were perfection. It was so fresh and chef's kiss! The mango lassi for dessert was so Sweet in every way . Lassan is gourmet worthy and decadently delicious! Since my earlier review, they have completely renovated the place with a gorgeous low lit dining room. Food is still delicious. Well worth multiple visits read more

Exceptional. The menu has conventional Indian dishes, but with some new and unusual additions, that feature the chefs creative flair. The presentation and attention to detail (each plate artistically served, and table settings carefully arranged) reflect how passionate the owners are about their work, and as do the wonderful tastes and creations that come out of their kitchen. Ask staff for recoomendations, and try something new! Amazing food (large portions), and friendly, kind people. read more

We have thoroughly enjoyed getting takeout from Lassan many times in the past but never had dinner in the newly renovated restaurant until Valentine's day. The cozy atmosphere, beautifully presented dishes and excellent service will bring us back to dining in! Their special Valentine's day 6-course meal was so flavorful, thoughtful and beautifully presented. Each dish was better than the one before it! The lamb shank fell off the bone like short rib. The tuna cake was sweet and crunchy. The entree came with a pineapple Kulcha that perfectly paired with the savory garam masala sauce. I believe dessert was Gajar Halwa, a sweet and warm shredded carrot dish topped with raisins and nuts. Such a good end to our meal. I wish these dishes were available on their every day menu. (hint, hint). The restaurant is BYOB and prices are very affordable. Don't miss out by considering this lovely restaurant as just a take-out place. It's in a strip mall (with plenty of parking), but offers deep flavors and outstanding dishes to rival any stand-alone restaurant. Treat yourself and give Lassan a try. Hope you enjoy the food and the service as much as we do! read more

Gurmeet and the entire team at Lasaan are doing an outstanding job. The food and service are excellent, complemented by a great ambiance. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for authentic North Indian cuisine. read more

At the crossroads of quality and quantity. The summit of Indian food in the Philadelphia Suburbs/Main Line areas. This was my second time enjoying food for Lassan and my first time taking out. On both occasions I ordered the Kale Saag Paneer, cheese kulcha, and the chicken tikka tacos. All were beautifully presented and I couldn't imagine them tasting any better. I ordered mild heat as I'm not much of a spice person. You don't need heat though to enjoy these flavorful dishes, though. This will be an ongoing dining staple for my wife and I for the foreseeable future. read more

Tasty. I was surprised. Git a indian style taco. Ambience wasn't bad. Hopefully more people show.

First time trying this establishment and it was pleased with the complex flavors and spice of the various dishes I tried. The vegetable Samosas were light and full of flavor. My wife enjoyed the mild spiced vegetable Biyani and the portion sizes were ample compared to cost. We got takeout to try the restaurants menu but plan to return and dine there. It is simply decorated and inviting. The service we received for takeout is a positive example of for the standard set by the owner. It is worth a try if you enjoy Indian food. read more

Like I was back in India! The food has continued to be authentic . Dine in when they first opened, and take out recently. Since first opening, they have beautifully renovated in-person dining. And you still see inside their scrupulously clean kitchen. Genial staff, and excellent service. What else could you ask for? read more

We had lunch here with friends and were blown away. Even our tween daughters loved it. The food was flavorful, plentiful and the adjusted the heat well. Their chai was incredible and authentic. After years of looking for the best Indian food (in my opinion), seems that we have found it. And of all places in Lafayette Hill. Been eating Indian food religiously for many years now and I have this long nostalgic memory of Cafe Spice in Old City (2nd st), and since have tried every restaurant I could find in a reasonable radius. That said... We ordered to go as I had no clue the interior on the restaurant is so inviting. It just feels like you entered a hidden gem of a restaurant and just want to stick around and try the food. We ordered pretty much the "classics"- Chicken Tikka Masala, Papri Chat, Samosa, Chicken Tandoori, Naan. Every single dish was amazing even after we basically took it out of take out containers.... Still just so so well done. Every bite is balanced, cooked perfectly, and accompanied with an amazing garnish. Even the veggies in the tandoori dish are pickled perfectly. We will be back, but this time to sit and eat. For local reference, so far, only Nirvana in Chestnut Hill, and saffron kitchen in Bala have come close to being this good. It's a new spot, and boy are we lucky! read more

What an amazing, creative and traditional menu! Everything was delicious! The artichoke entree is a must! The cauliflower small plates ( which are anything but small) were perfect! You can even get Lassan's version of tacos. The ambience is lovely. We will definitely be back! read more

They took great care in presentation. The food was amazing. I have not had such flavorful Indian food in a long, long time. Each of the dishes had a distinctive spice base. They have a really good Lamb Rogan Josh, with tender boneless lamb. The service was really good. The condiments were tasty. They offer your choice of mild, medium, or hot spiciness for the dishes. We found the medium hot right for us. read more

Food is a 10/10 no matter what you get. All the large plates, small plates, curries and tandoors are delicious. I've eaten or taken out here at least 15 times and sampled nearly the entire menu and couldn't recommend it enough. read more

A good friend familiar with good Philadelphia restaurants, and I had lunch at Lassan in Layfayette Hill on Germantown Pike. It was my second time eating there and both meals were excellent . My friend was impressed and said she would easily return. The food is delicious and well presented. The service was good both times, although, as this place gets known, as it should be, they will need more servers. The decor is thoughtful and quite inviting. I highly recommend Lassan. You won't be disappointed read more

Lassan is a cozy new Indian restaurant that we were lucky to find in a strip mall in Lafayette Hill. We've visited twice because we were very impressed by the delicious food that was so beautifully presented. We ate at the restaurant both times (there are just a few tables inside) and service was wonderful. It was also nice to see several people picking up online orders. A really nice place - highly recommended! read more

Very flavourful! The owner recommended a 2 out of 3 spice level for balance and it was perfect (less if you don't like spicy). Original: Pumpkin masala. Sweet and creamy. Garlic chicken nan was perfect with it. We ordered the chicken tikka masala and at first, not much heat then BOOM, just right. Beautiful dining room with a thatched theme. Everyone was very friendly. A hidden gem. read more

Beautiful restaurant, great food, very reasonable prices and great service. Will be back

Food was masterfully prepared and not fast food indian. Each dish was individually prepared and full of fresh spices. Not greasy like some places. Highly recommend the food and the atmosphere inside feels like another world. read more

What a delightful surprise! We were in the area and decided to take a chance. This tiny Indian restaurant in a strip shopping center is a real gem, serving some of the best Indian food around. Extra care is taken with the presentation and spice level. The service could not be friendlier or more welcoming. Happily we ordered more than we could eat and are already looking forward to eating the leftovers! We will definitely be back next time we are in the vicinity. Thanks for a great meal, Lassan! read more

Just not that good overall so wouldn't order from here again. Wasn't that authentic and didn't really taste Indian spices. Heat and spice level was ok though. Nan bread was undercooked and weird. Entrees do come with rice although menu doesn't specify. read more

This place is amazing! Six of us stopped in on a Wednesday evening and they pushed two of the three tables together. They have much more room towards the back of the space which they plan on expanding into soon. The menu is super interesting with lots of fun dishes you typically don't see from the local Indian dining options. And everything was beautifully prepared and super delicious. Def going to be a favorite of ours. read more
