Exceptional. The menu has conventional Indian dishes, but with some new and unusual additions, that feature the chefs creative flair. The presentation and attention to detail (each plate artistically served, and table settings carefully arranged) reflect how passionate the owners are about their work, and as do the wonderful tastes and creations that come out of their kitchen. At the crossroads of quality and quantity. The summit of Indian food in the Philadelphia Suburbs/Main Line areas. This was my second time enjoying food for Lassan and my first time taking out. On both occasions I ordered the Kale Saag Paneer, cheese kulcha, and the chicken tikka tacos. All were beautifully presented and I couldn't imagine them tasting any better. I ordered mild heat as I'm not much of a spice person. You don't need heat though to enjoy these flavorful dishes, though. This will be an ongoing dining staple for my wife and I for the foreseeable future. read more

First time trying this establishment and it was pleased with the complex flavors and spice of the various dishes I tried. The vegetable Samosas were light and full of flavor. My wife enjoyed the mild spiced vegetable Biyani and the portion sizes were ample compared to cost. We got takeout to try the restaurants menu but plan to return and dine there. It is simply decorated and inviting. The service we received for takeout is a positive example of for the standard set by the owner. It is worth a try if you enjoy Indian food. read more

Like I was back in India! The food has continued to be authentic . Dine in when they first opened, and take out recently. Since first opening, they have beautifully renovated in-person dining. After years of looking for the best Indian food (in my opinion), seems that we have found it. And of all places in Lafayette Hill. Been eating Indian food religiously for many years now and I have this long nostalgic memory of Cafe Spice in Old City (2nd st), and since have tried every restaurant I could find in a reasonable radius. That said... We ordered to go as I had no clue the interior on the restaurant is so inviting. It just feels like you entered a hidden gem of a restaurant and just want to stick around and try the food. We ordered pretty much the "classics"- Chicken Tikka Masala, Papri Chat, Samosa, Chicken Tandoori, Naan. Every single dish was amazing even after we basically took it out of take out containers.... Still just so so well done. Every bite is balanced, cooked perfectly, and accompanied with an amazing garnish. Even the veggies in the tandoori dish are pickled perfectly. We will be back, but this time to sit and eat. For local reference, so far, only Nirvana in Chestnut Hill, and saffron kitchen in Bala have come close to being this good. It's a new spot, and boy are we lucky! read more

They took great care in presentation. The food was amazing. I have not had such flavorful Indian food in a long, long time. Each of the dishes had a distinctive spice base. They have a really good Lamb Rogan Josh, with tender boneless lamb. The service was really good. The condiments were tasty. They offer your choice of mild, medium, or hot spiciness for the dishes. A good friend familiar with good Philadelphia restaurants, and I had lunch at Lassan in Layfayette Hill on Germantown Pike. It was my second time eating there and both meals were excellent . My friend was impressed and said she would easily return. The food is delicious and well presented. The service was good both times, although, as this place gets known, as it should be, they will need more servers. The decor is thoughtful and quite inviting. I highly recommend Lassan. Lassan is a cozy new Indian restaurant that we were lucky to find in a strip mall in Lafayette Hill. We've visited twice because we were very impressed by the delicious food that was so beautifully presented. We ate at the restaurant both times (there are just a few tables inside) and service was wonderful. It was also nice to see several people picking up online orders. What a delightful surprise! We were in the area and decided to take a chance. This tiny Indian restaurant in a strip shopping center is a real gem, serving some of the best Indian food around. Extra care is taken with the presentation and spice level. The service could not be friendlier or more welcoming. Just not that good overall so wouldn't order from here again. Wasn't that authentic and didn't really taste Indian spices. Heat and spice level was ok though. Nan bread was undercooked and weird. Entrees do come with rice although menu doesn't specify. read more

This place is amazing! Six of us stopped in on a Wednesday evening and they pushed two of the three tables together. They have much more room towards the back of the space which they plan on expanding into soon. The menu is super interesting with lots of fun dishes you typically don't see from the local Indian dining options. And everything was beautifully prepared and super delicious.
