Welcome to our Thursday night pizza review! Today I stopped at the Midway Shopping Center and…read morevisited a pizza place called Angelo's, not connected to the one in Wilkes-Barre. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and was treated professionally. I started with a half dozen mild wings, which had a nice amount of sauce--not overpowering but enough to give great flavor. They were cooked perfectly for my taste, not underdone or overly crispy. The tomato and basil pie was served hot with fresh ingredients, and the combination of flavors was excellent. If you're looking for a tasty pie, give them a try. It is such a shame. I don't leave many 1 star reviews. It has to be really bad. We own several…read morebusinesses, and we like to watch how businesses we go to run theirs. Colorusso's 2.0 used to be our favorite go-to place, at least once a week. Our average order was two dinners, along with a steak and cheese and a pizza to go. Last time we went, that's exactly what we ordered, and it seemed to take forever. But we thought it was just a fluke. We are always very polite and friendly, so didn't say anything. This time, we just stopped in for a quick pizza. We got the same waitress as last time. About 25 minutes after ordering, we noticed that all of the other tables had food. We had nothing. The table next to us had ordered appetizers. They got them, and then ordered pizza. This was about 20 minutes after we ordered ours. The table on the other side of us was getting very aggravated because they had been waiting for 10 minutes for their takeout boxes they requested. At 40 minutes, we asked the waitress if there was a problem with our pizza. She just abruptly said it will be right out. At this point, the restaurant was basically empty except for us and two tables. I said, watch those people who ordered way after us get their pizza first. We waited another 10 minutes, and lo and behold, out comes their pizza. We immediately dropped money on the table for our drinks and walked out. We drove to Dino and Francescos in Minooka, ordered 2 delicious pizzas from a very polite waitress, had our pizzas in 10 minutes and were out of there 25 minutes after that. And oh, yeah. They were packed there on a Sunday night! They were just efficient! I don't know if this waitress was mad because we only ordered a pizza, or she has something against heavier people (we are both a little overweight, probably from eating pizza so much ). But this was definitely done on purpose. I felt so insulted that I will go out of my way to let every employee we have and every customer I talk to at our stores know how we were treated. It's such a shame because the food was always so good. But poor service will always slowly kill a good business!

Walking in I get that welcoming feeling, kind of like Cheers where everyone knows your name. Looking over the menu for an appetizer I was drawn between the crab filled mushrooms, or the crab filled shrimp. Battling this turmoil in my head I asked my server, by the way who was the only one bartending, and serving everyone, Marty whatever you are paying her, she deserves double for how she was running her tail off. She told me the mushrooms are a bigger seller so that's what I ordered. The crab was cooked to perfection with its combination of seasonings; the mushrooms themselves were also dynamite. I definitely recommend you all trying this, as long as you're not allergic. Now as a part of my new way of eating I wanted to get a meat lovers pie, but I did not do that, I got a veggie pie. I got my vegetable fill that night from tomatoes, peppers, onions, mushrooms and peppers this was a small 12 inch and packed with flavor. I really enjoyed all those vegetables. The pizza itself was also delicious. Now they got a full menu, so you all have to come down to Marty's Pizzeria in Nanticoke to get some yourself. Until next video, be blessed and stay safe.
