Great food, unacceptable cashiers. Working in the food service industry can be extremely difficult, but when your cash register person insults the customer then it effects your business, no matter how good the food might be. This was my experience with Europa. My family and I went to the mall. My elderly aunt needed to eat something so both my mother and I stopped to get her something from the cafe. The woman at the register was impatient with my mother whom was also elderly. I understand that especially if she was busy to an extent but to start verbally attacking her was a bit much. The register was also short on cash for some reason which makes no sense but again it was busy. The kicker was when the girl working the register told my elderly mother "thank you for being a horrible customer". If you're an employee you represent the company. If the caffe wants this as their representation, that's fair, but I know I will not be returning again. read more

This is the only place I eat when I'm in the area. Let's face it.. restaurants around here lack hygiene, quality and customer service. This place meets my snobby standards. The people behind the counter all pay attention to detail, are service oriented and fix mix ups quickly with no fuss. The place is clean, tables get wiped quickly and there's plenty of seating. Prices are reasonable and good variety even meatless options. Now. The food. How long has it been under heat lamps? Not sure. Doesn't taste like it has been for too long. Pizzas and such disappear before your eyes during lunch time and the rest of the hours, I believe they make smaller batches to ensure freshness. This is my favorite place in the whole town. I believe me and my fiancé go here almost every week. Our favorite is ziti and chicken parmigiana. And their hot chocolate. Staff is always happy and making you feel at home, I'm even going to have them catering my wedding probably! read more

This is not the pizza place of my childhood days spent at the Laurel Mall. It is a more decorative, larger, varied menu establishment. The price reflects a cafe versus traditional pizza shop decor. Whoever the two working at the cash register and taking orders today have a lot to be desired in personality, customer service and manners. My friend and I were so discouraged by their lack of customer service that we are not sure if we would ever return. No manners whatsoever - in fact I paid the guy at the cash register - no response from him when I paid him and then I said, "Your welcome" and I believe he grunted!!!!!!! My friend asked if she could have a sausage and pepper and onion put on a wrap and was told NO by the girl. Nice sit down quick service restraurant inside the Laurel Mall. I tried the pizza salad drink combo for $6.95. I had a grandmas pizza slice which was really good. I asked to have the tomato mozerella salad instead of a reg salad and they added $2.00. I agreed since I wanted to really try the salad because it looked really fresh. It was ok.... A little bland. I think they could have switched out the salad for no additional cost. The portion size was large.... So the value is ok. My daughter tried the panini salad and chips for 6.95. She told me the panini was good but would taste better warmed. I was a bothered by the tv or news channel being broadcast throughout the dining area. We were in Hazleton and there wasn't much to do but we visited the Laurel Mall and decided to eat here. Tasty lunch. I had Bruschetta and tomato / mozzarella salad. The salad had very generous portion of fresh mozzarella and onions. Seating was plentiful. My boyfriend enjoyed his sandwich. We went to Jim Thorpe afterwards and it was a madhouse and we couldn't even find parking so I am so glad we ate here here first ! I would highly recommend Caffe Europa for lunch. read more

Truly an authentic Italian restaurant with a wide variety of pizza as well as Italian entrees, salads, and deserts. To me what makes this place stand out is the Brick oven pizza and the cappuccino Whether it's the authentic espresso machine, the Italian music playing , or soccer on the Tvs, this caffe makes me feel like I'm back in Europe.
