I feel ripped off. We got sushi, ramen, and a bento box with teriyaki chicken. The sushi was gross. And, the spring rolls were burned. Each dish came out at different times. My sushi did not arrive until everyone at our table was done. But it was not edible anyway. Also, it seemed obvious that they were prioritizing to-go orders, which affected the completion of our order. Maybe they should close their dining room, if they are not going to serve diners at the restaurant. It was a totally lame experience. We will not be back. read more

Took my daughter here cause she was wanted sushi. We started off with the loaded fries, which were absolutely amazing, I'd go just for them. We ordered the sushi lunch special, which was like 3 sushi rolls for 14 dollars and we ordered the fried chicken soup. The fried chicken soup was absolutely amazing, randomly some of the best chicken I've ever had. The lion king sushi was really good, especially for the price, I liked the other 2. We order here quite a bit and have had many things and they are always good. My wife's go to is the Ninja Lovers Poke bowl and I get the Pad Thai or the Red Curry. The appetizers are good also. The second set had a small amount on the back end but not enough to make me throw them out. I have been to Ninja sushi and Ninja Ramen and I believe these are related and the Ninja Kitchen was the one to bring things together. Ordered some ramen, thought it should be the same or better than Ninja Ramen. It wasn't. It was horrible to be polite. Ordered a couple sushi plates - same story. Maybe these companies are not related? Also had some traditional dishes, horrible. Food came all spaced out no one could wait for everything to get there trying to be polite. My family ate there twice in the last few weeks and find their food to be outstanding. I love spice in my food and when I ask for it extremely spicy, they know how! Summary: Big portions, good food, still working things out logistically. The staff is very friendly, but there doesn't seem to be a system as far as waiting tables. We were seated, and our waitress took our drink order. A minute later, someone different asks what we would like to drink. Our waitress comes back and takes our food order. 10 minutes later a completely different person asks if we have ordered, and seems surprised that we have. Food took quite a while coming out. In the meantime, we switched tables because the main middle table is in the direct path of the air vents, and I was freezing! (Our straw paper wouldn't stay on the table - that's how windy it was at the first table.) The appetizer we ordered, pork gyoza, were small, but very delicious. The spicy miso ramen I ordered was huge- I could barely fit my extra noodles in the bowl! Usually, I order extra noodles, and can finish everything. This time, I had to take a to-go bowl. The quality of the ramen was good- it tasted just like the Ninja Ramen in Arlington (same dish.) For the amount of food you get, the price is pretty fair. Another small mishap on the bill - they charged for extra noodles twice, but it was easily resolved. I think once this place gets settled, things will run more smoothly. For now, expect bigger wait times, small issues, but great ramen. read more

I used to eat at their Cooper st. location and since this one is right by my house, I thought I'd give it a shot. The service was average and I never ran out of my drink, so I have no complaints there. I ordered the takoyaki as an appetizer and the first time it came out the squid inside was still frozen. I mentioned it and they brought me out another, but (and I'm not sure if this is normal for takoyaki) they had a very strong barbecue sauce taste. I wasn't able to eat more than one because they just tasted like barbecue sauce to me. For my meal I got the tonkotsu ramen. The first egg I bit into was cold, but after letting the other eggs sit in the broth for a bit they warmed up. Overall it wasn't the worst tonkotsu I've ever had but it most definitely wasn't the best. Like I said though, the servers were great. They applied a 20% off employee discount to my takoyaki and, while I would've preferred they reimburse me for the appetizer, I understand they may not have been allowed to do that. We started off ordering the okonomiyaki and white tuna. They were surprisingly busy. I did overhear some people coming to Ninja Kitchen thinking it was a different restaurant. The okonomiyaki came out in about 15 minutes, the tuna didn't come out until well after our entrees - but we'll get back to that. I ordered the tonkatsu and it was pretty bland - almost watered down.The pork belly was 90% fat. One friend got the oyako don (B2) and the chicken karage was not crispy at all. They also never brought out miso soup with the dish which it is suppose to come with. My other friend ordered the fruit ninja poke bowl (P2) and the poke in there was not fresh at all. It had a very odd texture and the temperature was warm even though it had fruit in it. Lastly, the white tuna. In the item description, it says the order has 5 pieces. When it came out, there were 4. When I asked the waitress about it she went to ask the kitchen, came back and said "oh the pieces were big, so we only put 4 pieces instead of 5." She was quick to ask me if I wanted the 5th piece, if not she would give me a discount on it - fair but besides the point. You can't give less pieces because of the size of the piece! Anyways, I quickly had a stomach ache after eating. Service wasn't very good, one of the waitresses put down an entree at the closest spot to her, and left without saying anything to us. She was American, just in case you think there was a language barrier or something TLDR; Please just avoid this place. Quality of food was bad, service in need of additional training, and they'll reduce your service amount if they feel like "the pieces are big" already. Eat the pies next door though! read more

Opening weekend. Arrived at 6.00 pm on Saturday and it was full. Waited about 5 minutes and seated and order taken. Then the "system crashed" and we waited 35 minutes for our food to come out. The wait staff are not watching the floor but are all bundled up at the counter. Tables should be cleared promptly so those waiting in line can be seated promptly (this is coming from someone who has done this before). Need a supervisor that is just watching the floor! This is why they do "soft openings" at experienced places. Hopefully they will iron out the kinks. Food is the same as the Ninja Ramen in S. Cooper in Arlington, although they do not have the full menu up and running. read more

Only one issue was the rice was hot....Steaming hot, so my cold tuna on top had to be eaten quickly....I did let the owner know so hopefully this can be solved. Otherwise next time I'll make sure to ask if the rice will be cold when served sashami style. Lunch was a seafood ramen soup. Great flavor and the shrimp were extra fresh tasting!
