My daughter and I were out with a friend in Coquitlam and we all felt like having a drink so we went to Ninja Bubble Tea. It's a cute shop with a lot of greenery adorning the walls on one side of the shop, and comic book covers on the other side of the shop. Slushy drinks are my daughter's favorite, so she ordered a Peach slushie. I was in the mood for something hot and when I caught sight of the words "Honeydew Latte" on the menu, I decided to give that a try.  Peach slushie: So good, she ordered the same drink again, about one week later! Honeydew Latte: Awesome! I've seen Honeydew drinks in Bubble tea shops many times, but always as a cold drink. This was the first time I'd seen and tasted a hot Honeydew drink. This is my first experience here. I have been a regular to all the major bubble tea stores. I was most intrigued by the 1L BBT option. Unfortunately, when I got there, they were out of 1P containers, and they refused to give me the 1L volume option by combining two mini cups [even when I offered to pay for the extra cup]. They were also out of the some tea ingredients so I couldn't get some of my preferred choices, but did not update their menu. I went for a Calamansi mango green tea with pearls because it said it uses real mango pieces and had chia seeds. The lady told me it was her favourite, and I understand why. Ninja bubble tea has been on my list of places to try for a while now and we finally managed to go. Ninja bubble tea currently has two locations, one in Coquitlam close to Coquitlam Centre and another in New Westminster at the quay. Their menu is pretty standard with brewed teas, milk teas, blended smoothies, and slushes. In addition, they also have green juices, espresso drinks and fast food items to choose from. There were a few people ordering the burgers and fries but they didn't look like anything too special. I decided to get the small Alishan oolong milk tea with pearls. Unfortunately, I didn't think it had too much flavour to it. I mostly tasted the milk powder with some notes of tea in the background. I wasn't a huge fan of the drink overall. Grayson got a green tea with pearls. Grayson liked the foam on top of his green tea. He also said that the tea was steeped almost too much because it was a little bitter. The add-ons here are $0.70 each which is $0.20 more expensive than it usually is. With this I expected extraordinary pearls but they weren't chewy and mostly just soft so I wasn't impressed at all. read more

The guys at this place always make good bbt even if they're busy. I only had one bad bbt where it was watered down. The ninja bubble tea in Port Coquitlam sucks though. I ordered Uber eats and ordered 8 lychee Waikiki green tea and when we got it, it was bitter asf and no Lychee flavour. What a waste of money.. for basically lemon green tea. I'm never going to to the poco location as their drinks are terrible. The one in Coquitlam is worth the trip. read more

Whenever we venture out to Coquitlam (I have a lot family here), Ninja Bubble Tea is one of the bubble tea spots that we go to. I am usually a milk tea kinda person when it comes to Ninja because I know they make their milk teas fresh every time. You can definitely taste the difference compared to other bubble tea chains. Fiance on the other hand likes their fruit teas. He is always trying a new one on each visit. And he always gets the 1L size (because he loves bubble tea so much). This was an interesting experience. We got a passionfruit green tea with pearls, and a black milk tea with pearls. Both were HEAVY on the tea flavour. I liked that, my wife thought it was too strong and overpowered the other flavours. The pearls were a weird consistency. slimy and mushy on the outside, tough on the inside. Not the freshest I guess? The food menu items are all enticing. I'll come back for another review after I try one of their japadog-style hot dogs or asian flared fry-poutine thingies. read more

Real tea taste and always a bonus to have it in the 1L size. Have a great assortment of drink flavours and I'm always tempted by their food menu. After 9 pm is their happy hour to which you can get a discount on your purchase ! Usually on the weekends you can expect a line around happy hour and the place is not very big so it can get crowded. Staff are friendly and accommodating. One of my go-to BBT places when in the area. Next time I am going to try the snack foods ! read more

This is the worse bubble tea I've had in B.C so far. I ordered a ninja milk tea 70% sweet which is my order everywhere. But this bubble tea didn't have any flavor... No tea, no milk, no sweetness just water with an aftertaste. I was surprised at the qaulity and I was really hoping to like it. I just want a comparison to show how much bigger my 1 Litre is LOLOL. The bubble tea was really good but it this place seems to be a bit inconsistent as my friend got the same refresher but hers tasted a lot more watered down and my other friend wanted to die because apparently her strawberry fruit tea made her eyes sting. But today, I was enlightened to find that it was so much more -- it was a business that benefits the community and goes far beyond just amazing bubble tea. I had the opportunity to interview the founder, Phil, on a one-to-one basis for an entrepreneurship project that I was doing for school. Not only did Phil show us warm hospitality, he spoke with us as friends and answered almost 15 questions that took up just over an hour. He spent time with us and made sure we felt welcome in his store that he built with his very own hands. From everything he said, you really understand how much Ninja means to him and to all his employees. I can't think of any other business that helps in the community as much as Ninja. Its core philosophy, beyond bubble tea, is to help out in its local community from school events to non profits. I'm glad that such as business exists in my area. Now back to the food, the milk tea bubble tea was awesome. Tasted just like it should with just the right amount of sweetness. Will be back for sure. read more

I dropped by today for a small lunch and drinks with a friend. I've seen pictures of the place and of the food and I've been excited to try it out. It's a small store but it's very tidy and you can see all the ingredients they have as well as different tea bags. Their drink menu is quite big and they all sounded great. I gave in to the Nutella banana smoothie and we shared the sour cream perogies. Well first, the drink was really good. It tasted fresh and just like ... Nutella and bananas. I didn't try my friends drink but she goes back all the time for the drink so I'm gonna go ahead and assume it's good as well. The perogies were really good as well, and steaming hot. After eating nearby at Moa Box, my date wanted a mango slush for dessert. We ended up here and it turned out to be happy hour ($1 off drinks). My date ordered the 1 litre cup of mango slush. The value is there as it was under $5. I saw staff pour out mango pulp from a jug to make the drink. It was not the best tasting mango slush I have tried, but we were both impressed size of the drink. They also serve some food items (e.g. instant noodles, pastries and hotdogs). Oh Ninja.. why have your standards fallen so.. I understand that the there's a general age demographic that you cater to but it really pains me to say that I've been deeply disappointed by you in my last few trips to Ninja. There are constant mistakes in my drinks or just poor standards all around in the taste and service. We constantly get drinks where the add ons like pearls or jellies are nonexistant or just drinks that arent filled to the top. When you're paying for a 6 smth 1L drink, you really do expect it to be filled somewhat to the top or at least not obviously filled with air on the top. Another drink had pearls that arent seen by the naked eye..an employee had to point them out to me when I asked if she forgot them altogher. This all depends on the employee making your drinks of course but be prepared if you're visiting during happy hour after 9pm to be serviced by employees that definitely dont seem to care too much about quality of their drinks. Ever since their Robson location shut down a few years ago, I've been having a Ninja Bubble Tea crave for ages. But since their only location is in Coquitlam, it was just too far out of my way to go just for bubble tea. Luckily, a couple of friends who were also craving decided to hit up the place as well. Ninja offers 3 sizes of bubble tea! A small, regular and the 1 LITRE (definitely share this with someone since I struggled to finish it by myself)! I ordered the Ninja Milk Tea with pearls (its made with Assam Black Tea) in the 1 litre size as a treat for myself. And also got the Seaweed Mayo Tater Tots as well. The tots were kinda more a 4/5 since I was just pretty hungry. After all these years the taste still held up and I was definitely not disappointed! After trying this place for the first time I had hoped for more. It's an interesting layout with a tea booth that sells tea leaves, then the bubble tea bar, and beside that a digital dart board... Anyway, the drink I chose was a regular Blueberry Mango Screamer since I wanted something thick. It looked good, but I literally could not finish it. What hit me most was the lack of flavor. It was like slurping down a cup of plain milkshake that had the faintest bursts of mango/blueberry flavor every once in a while. My friend and I come to Ninja Bbt every couple months when we're in the mood for a sweet drink and a snack. Overall for quality of bubble tea, I'd rather to to Pearl Fever but you can't beat one of their deals where if you buy their larger drink size you can add a side of tater tots for only a buck extra, which comes to around $7 or so if I remember correctly. As shown on other reviews of this place, it seems they do cater to a younger crowd so drinks tend to be extravagant but lacking quality in taste and sometimes watered down. So if you're looking for something with large quantity this is probably the place for you, but if you're really craving good quality Pearl Fever is the go to. read more

Finally coming to the HQ of Ninja Bubble Tea in Coquitlam. To my realization, my best friend lives right beside this establishment in the apartments. So I had to drop by this place to check it out for once. And I was not disappointed at all. The typical LARGE size of drink, and the deliciousness of it filled my mouth. I of course ordered the watermelon screamer, the same thing I got at the Downtown branch for comparison, and this one was a lot better. There was more of a fruitier taste in it. It was more watermelon flavour, and the creamy ice cream was noticeable at the very end. As usual, I couldn't finish the whole thing so I brought it back to my friend's place and put it in the freezer so I could take it home. Will come back if I am in the area again to visit my friends. And will be getting something different for taste and for sure their screamers are the perfect desert drink to share with a friend or just have one by yourself, and put it in the freezer for the next day :D Only negativity about the place, it is smaller than the one Downtown with seating wise. Came here after a hike in Anmore and needed something refreshing and a jump start after a very long and tiring hike. Remembered I had come here before a long time ago when I was around in Coquitlam. I ordered the original Ninja milk tea. Sadly, I wasn't too much of a fan of the taste of the drink. Thought it was very watered down and powdery.. They do have plenty of selection on their menu and there are so neat sounding drinks like the nutella and ferrerro roche drinks which seem very interesting. Too bad they only have 2 locations in the whole greater vancouver area. So either if you live in Coquitlam or downtown Van, you can get your Ninja BBT and if you don't live in either than you're just out of luck. read more

This has become one of my favourite places in Coquitlam for a drink and snack. My kids live it too. The staff are friendly and fun. Every drink we have had has been great. They use organic frozen fruit for the real fruit smoothies, the pearls are yummie and the larger size is huge! I recently had the Ninja Milk tea and it was really good. We have had the Red Velvet Bubble Waffles which are delicious, kimchi tater tots, Tater Tots with sour cream and green onion oh and did I mention the Red Velvet Bubble Waffles? The kids love going here because they can play board games while we wait for our drinks (it's often busy, but always worth the wait). It's a fun and relaxing place to go for a delicious drink and snack. JUST DO IT! read more
