Having lunch at Nina's Cafe was certainly a surprise when it came to her infamous daal and homemade chai. I'll have to admit that I've become a fan of her daal, especially when you mix the pickle into the soup. The pickle gives the soup a nice tangy flavor that I cannot describe other than it leaving a warm spicy sensation because I'm so unwittingly uninformed but now I can see why everyone speaks about this soup. When you taste the chai, you can definitely tell that it's homemade and not something that you can find in the grocery store. If you need it a little more sweeter, you can find the sugar on the table with utensils and other condiments. You can also find her on Shef dot com and see what other Bengali dishes Nina has to offer for catering. I didn't know about this until she showed me the website and all her varieties and the visuals really look fantastic. I'm still uncertain with her operating hours since I often drive by and have tried to have an early lunch here to find her cafe closed but if you're able to catch the cafe when it's opened, you will not be disappointed.

Nina is the best! I always get her homemade chai. As a vegan I appreciate her flexibility and choices. Don't miss the breakfast burrito with tofu scramble or the veggie curry. And now vegan gluten free pastries. And it's a cozy home away from home too.

Delicious food! Nina is a very sweet lady that makes a great breakfast burrito. She also has a delicious shrimp curry on special order for a family dinner. There's a variety of ways for you to order, either you can call an order in and she'll have ready for pick-up. Great for family dinner options and larger group parties or just a stop in for a quick breakfast or lunch. She is a lovely lady that has been here for over 10 years with recipes that originated from Bangladesh.

I've been going to Nina's for years now. It's one of my favorites. I love going mid day and working remotely (it's cozy and hand decorated with comfy pillows with an archway separating a quiet zone and a talking zone), or stopping by after the gym. Her specialty is the curry. Especially her chicken curry. It comes with dal, salad, rice and pickle. I ALWAYS get her chai. It's my favorite chai! She always serves it hot and with the type of milk and as much sugar as I want. There are toys and books forThank you Nina for your delicious food all these years! She's on EZ cater as well. Happy to support her.

Decided to give this place another try. And was treated even worse. I honestly don't know what is wrong. Eek! Methinks not!

Came at around 4pm on a Sunday and the cafe was still so packed. Parking was a bit difficult. We had to drive around for over 10 minutes and finally found a parking garage. The chai itself was worth it though. My friend and I both got the karak chai, mine was cold and hers was hot. Both really good although the flavor came out better hot. The Elaichi bun was full of cardamom flavor and just a bit toasted was perfect complementary to the chai. Really wish we lived closure otherwise this would be a go to spot. They have multiple South Asian inspired tea and coffee beverages including Banana Einspanner, Matcha Roofsafzah etc. Their main beverages are various kinds of chai. Our ratings: 1. Karak Chai: 3/5 - pretty average chai, the price was pretty steep for the portion that was provided but i appreciated how strong the drink was 2. Cortado: 3/5 - again my friends were shocked with the portion (teeny, tiny cup) and it was $5. Friends needed to hop over to another coffee shop for another drink 3. Jaggery Chocolate Chip Cookie: 4/5 - this was solid, tastes like a typical indian cookie. Different taste for folks used to traditional choco chip cookies

There are plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. It's super cool that they roast their own beans in-store.

In most other cases blossomy food and drink tends to be overpowered by a perfume-like aroma. In this case however it's balanced perfectly with the matcha, present but not too loud. Additionally, the bathroom is consistently clean, and looks very nice.

It was an unexpectedly warm day, so I stopped in for an iced caffeinated beverage. I was indecisive when it was my turn to order, so the barista recommended the orange blossom matcha sparkler. This sounded intriguing and refreshing, so I decided to give it a try. My beverage was prepared about two minutes after I ordered it, and I was immediately refreshed after the first sip. The orange blossom flavoring was very subtle and provided just the right amount of sweetness and floral essence to counter the matcha's bitterness. The fizziness made this a perfect drink for a hot day. I've tried Mind Coffee's espresso on a prior visit, and I can now say they succeed in both the coffee and matcha categories.
