i ordered this place off of postmates to get the free delivery option. the rice was bland, falafel tasted too much of parsley and oil and like it was missing something like more spices and salt. the hummus and chicken kabob were okay but it was dry and had a rubbery bounce to it when it was chewing it. the pita i got was pretty chewy as well but i'm going to blame that on it not being too warm when it arrived. overall i would say i would give this place a 2.8, probably wouldn't order from here again. read more

Had a pretty bad experience here. Went in to grab a quick bite on a Friday night - the employees were running around everywhere and there wasn't anyone sitting inside - just a buffet set up. I walked inside and asked for a to - go menu, the person who seemed like they were in charge hooked me up with one and kept running around. I decided on what I wanted, asked to order - then the guy hands me a Styrofoam to go container, plops it on top of the buffet set up, tells me it's $10 (twice the price of the item I wanted!) and then keeps doing his thing! Cocktail shake (banana, Strawberry), hookah, hummus, pita bread and chicken kabob and the deserts - everything deserves 5 stars. I was on a visit to LA and long beach when I came here. I had a wonderful experience smoking hookah here. The atmosphere was so relaxed and the music was good and not too loud (great for carrying on a conversation). The owner was very nice and welcoming. The hookah was great and not too pricey like other places. The employees were wonderful and very attentive. They were always coming around rotating the coals. Overall, it was great! I went around 2am and the first thing I saw was a group of older gentlemen, playing some card game and smoking hookah outside. It didn't bother me at all, until I went inside to find no one there to take my order. Then after a long unnecessary wait, one of the older gentlemen from outside got up and walked to the counter to finally take my order. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma and without washing his hands or putting on gloves, he went to the kitchen (located behind the front counter) to make my order. I was disgusted! The amount of disrespect was unreal to do that in front of me! I then watched him stick his fingers all inside the sandwich to make room. Then one of his friends came inside and asked him for an Orange Fanta and without any hesitation he left the kitchen and went to the hookah area to get it. While he was gone (doing who knows what with his hands) his friend told me "The food here is amazing." I replied with a neutral "alright" as the man came back in. He then gave his friend the soda and went back to the kitchen to finish my order. My mind started racing with disgusting thoughts on where his hands could have been. He could have picked his nose or scratched himself or touched the tobacco shisha earlier that night! He suddenly appeared to the counter, still wrapping the sandwich in the yellow paper to tell me it was around $6. I immediately blurted "I FORGOT MY CARD" and walked out. There was no way I was going to eat the disgusting sandwich. If you go here, please make sure the cooks have gloves or wash their hands. You shouldn't have to be so cautious at any restaurant but unfortunately that my was experience here. I will never return or recommend this place to anyone! read more

i could have written this review over a year ago, but only now catching up :) ahmed (the owner) is always friendly, and makes amazing dinners! very modest including the buffet during ramadan was only $12, if i recall. he always makes meals to accommodate without any meat when i request...fish when available. ambiance is awesome, clients playing chess, backgammon, hookah-ing outside. i'm not exactly sure what the names of each dish is, i know the basic names - tchina, hoomus, tea :) all is superb and this place is open until around 400am!! read more

I come here a lot, the hookah is great, and on a nice night the outdoor atmosphere is really nice. The service is usually alright, but tonight our waitress was extremely inattentive. She spent practically the entire time we were their talking to two tables (whom I'm pretty sure were her friends), even though all her tables were full. We ordered a smoothie and waited 20 minutes as we sat and watcher her talk to others. When we asked where it was she said that due to construction in the kitchen it would take a little longer - even though we could see she hadn't even gone in to place the order. We went in and asked for it - we had it in less than five minutes. She then proceeded to over charge us for our items (in comparison to the menu prices). Great hookah, but the terrible service isn't worth it - I'm pretty sure she checked up on is once during our hour stay. Sorry to say that we won't be back. read more

Had an amazing time tonight at the Nile Cafe hookah lounge ...They had an Argelini Night where we got to try all kinds of flavors. So very cool. My favorite was the Vanilla Latte and White Russian mix.....so smooth! Tiffany and Justin the Argelini reps were so nice and sat with us wanting feed back on all the favors. It was a lot of fun to be in a cool atmosphere and just try things I probably wouldn't normally. The Watermelon Mint and the Double Apple were the bomb too. This just might be my new favorite Hookah Spot. read more

I luv this place, it's very chill and kinda remind me of real Egyptians coffee shops back in Egypt. The owner is great, he's avery friendly WELCOMING guy. The place is always busy after 12 am ;) so it's a great option after anight of fun in LBC.The food is good and the prices are very reasonable compared to other middle eastern restaurants in the area. read more
