I asked for eyebrow threading and upper lip. I loved my threader. Her name is Nisa (might be spelled differently) and she was so funny and easy to talk to. I'm sure I'm not alone in this, but going to a new brow place always feels like a risk. There is always the fear of potentially getting your brows messed up. Nisa and I laughed about this. I told her I wanted my brows thick and long. She determined a light clean up with be good for them and I was really happy with the results. We giggled about past nightmare brow stories and how threading one side of the face can be more painful than the other sometimes. It was good convo and above all else a good experience. Eyebrow threading is $15 and upper lip was $10. I'm looking forward to returning and getting my brows done here again.

On walking in for my first ever visit, I was shocked to be greeted in a bright, clean, and very quiet spot. I was the only customer and was quickly greeted by Nisa. I appreciated that she asked what service I'd like to get and I asked her the cost ahead of time, as the service list was scrolling across the digital screen and had already passed the threading services. She told me to have a seat and then went to wash her hands, and came back to begin my eyebrow threading service. She was nice and personable and asked me how I like my eyebrows. I thought it was a nice gesture that she recognized that I had never been to the business and usually go elsewhere, so she acknowledged wanting to learn more about the thickness I like and shape. She worked quickly to clean up my brows and while working a couple of other customers came in and she was able to greet them while still providing my service. She was patient and kept providing the mirror for me to provide feedback to her on whether I was happy with my brows or if I wanted her to continue working to remove any fine hairs or to continue improving the shape. This visit definitely exceeded my expectations because I was not expecting it to be personable and to have someone so patient who really did value my happiness with my brows. Overall great service and I would recommend this place to others for your brow services. I will definitely return. I also think this is a newer location and she did tell me they have been on West broad for many years, so seems like a place with a good history.

I tried going elsewhere and they chopped up my eyebrows so needless to say I came back. I'm originally from NOVA and had my go to lady for years, who was excellent and taught me what good eyebrows are so..it was a struggle for me to find someone new. I've tried several now and Priya is the best I have found in this area so far. She is by appointment only and currently only has hours Monday and Tuesdays but if you can make it work she's worth it! First the room I received my facial didn't have a curtain it was open which made it hard to relax and wind down because I could hear people moving throughout the spa and talking. A lot of talking. Not obnoxiously just more than I'd care to hear since I came to relax. Lastly. The music choices could also be a bit more relaxing like calming/soothing instrumentals rather than music with lyrics. I had the Liscio Japanese straightening treatment done on my medium-length coarse, wavy hair. After having had the BioIonic Japanese straightening treatment done 15 years ago, a Brazilian blowout done in '22, & Keratin treatments from '22-24, I decided to go with the Japanese straightening treatment because of the permanency, resistance to humidity, & ease of styling. I literally wash my hair, a quick blow dry & maybe one pass with a flat iron & I'm good for a week. As a mother of a two-year-old, it makes me feel like myself/put together, but does not take time away from my daily routine with my son. I'd rather be spending time with him than standing in front of the mirror running a flat iron through my hair endlessly. I did my research to see who currently offers this treatment here in Richmond. I found three places: Flirt Salon in Cary Town, a salon in the West End that requires a deposit paid at the consultation BEFORE scheduling the actual service (what the heck - they only have one person that does the treatment there, so if that person were to fall ill or get injured on the job, you would've wasted your time and perhaps have to lobby for your deposit back- no thank you!), & then a third place that had very poor reviews. I reached out to Vada, she communicated with me to answer all of my questions and I felt very confident about getting the service done with her. I consider it an investment and wanted to make it worth my while. I have high expectations, I knew exactly what I wanted, and I notice every detail when it comes to my hair. She exceeded my expectations. Vada is not only professional and highly skilled - she's been doing hair for 30 years - but she is also very personable and genuinely cares about her clients. It was a great experience from start to finish. I'm absolutely in love with my hair. Vada is wonderful and I can't recommend her salon enough.
