When I called the office to come deal with animals in the traps the girl in the office told me to deal with it myself. Other times I couldn't get through. They sent another technician unannounced to pick up the traps and take them back. I explained the problem wasn't solved so he left the traps in place. Came again unannounced to collect the traps and I explained the problem wasn't solved and he needed to deal with my husband. They sent me an email offering a quote to seal the entry point in the house now that the squirrels have been removed. The squirrels are still a problem and more aggressive then ever. Here is my big complaint. Technicians keeps coming by to collect the traps and coming in to our property without making prior arrangements. They even bother my elderly parents. I am afraid to open the door when a male, I do not know, comes by, aggressively knocks on all the doors and yells my name. I have CPTSD. This is very upsetting to me. He said he did not have my new phone number and couldn't get a hold of me. First I have left messages for the office so you should have my number. You have my address and email. You could have sent a message or written a letter. You could have even left a note. I am not comfortable with the technicians coming by unannounced and wandering around my property. I do not have a problem returning the traps. Please contact me through proper channels and make arrangements. My husband has also used this company before so you should have his contact info on file. I initally requested help with a squirrel problem in our atttic. This took about 7 or 8 visits by Hassan to repair/close entry points in our roof, set traps to catch the squirrels, and then several follow-up visits to inspect the attic to make sure squirrels had not returned. During the intial visit and survey of the roof and attic, Hassan pointed out some other issues he noticed: 1) there were several bee nests in the attic ---so I hired Hassan to remove the bee nests. 2) the gutters were full of debris from recent windstorms --- so I hired Hassan to clean the gutters. 3) one of the down pipes attached to the gutter was detached and bent --- so Hassan fixed that. 4) one of the soffits was hanging down a bit so Hassan fixed that. I always appreciate it when someone comes to provide a service and at the same time, points out other unrelated issues that could be a problem. They quoted us $200 -575, and then, said that it would be $575 + $175 + GST so to start with, it was expensive, but who wants fleas, right? We wanted it done fast and they were registered on Yelp and with Better Business Bureau and they had some good reviews... I thought I'd done my research. 1. The guy who showed up arrived on foot with a gas mask and spray container. He said that he parked down the street. I saw him leave by foot with a guilty look after I paid him and I swear I saw him drive past in a taxi! 2. He checked for fleas with his flashlight by looking up at the ceiling in one closet. I said that I had just shaken the bath mats and found one, so he picked one up and shook it. He didn't seem to know what he was looking for and he told us that the pest control spray would attract the fleas and that they would take it back to their nest and that would deal with them. Nest?! Fleas don't 'nest'. I should have canceled the appointment right there. 3. He had us leave the house and came out in 10 minutes. "All done," he announced. 10 minutes to spray all door frames and baseboards in a 2000+ sqfoot house? Well, what do we know. We've never dealt with this before. We've never hired exterminators before.... 4. The lady I spoke to on the phone said that we would need to be out of the house for 5-6 hours. "Sam" (short for "Hassam" from Surrey) said, "No, a couple hours only." Hmmm. 5. My 80 year old mom paid the total bill with a cheque and he left. That's when I returned to see him walking away and then, driving away in a taxi. I called the company back and spoke to the 'lady'. She became very defensive and said that it was up to me to do my research and that was my fault. Then, she said that they have to be properly accredited to be approved by Better Business Bureau, and tried to assure me that it would take time and that they would come back if the flea problem was not corrected by 6 weeks... We ended up hiring another company 2 weeks later as the problem was getting worse. What a disaster.
