A new pair of retro Jordans came out that I really liked: Air Jordan 3 Green Glow. I wanted to try them on before I bought them because Nike shoes kinda vary in size. I saw that this place had them and I headed over. The mall this store is in is open air and there aren't great directions. It took me a while to find it. But i did. It's not a huge store and their shoes are at the back. The one I wanted was on display. The cost was the same as on the Nike site, which is fine. I get to try them on abs get them immediately. Done and done. I asked an employee for my size. He got the shoes quickly. I tried them on and liked them. I bought them. Easy peasy. The mall has feee pathing for 90 minutes, which worked for me. I'd come back here if they had a shoe i wanted, but i wouldn't come back here to shop. This mall is conducive to buying, not shopping. The store is fine. In just never browsing in this mall. This is really a 3 1/2. But the fault is the mall, not the particular store, so I round up. It must be the shoes. read more

We frequent this location often and service is always good. There is always more than 2 employees at a given time in case it gets busy. Every time I have walked in I am able to receive help from a Nike employee right away. They have many selections for shoes and also clothing or workout clothing also. Parking is in the structure located by Whole Foods. Parking is free for the first hour I believe. Anything after that they will charge but it doesn't go above $2.00. They offer validation if you eat at one of the sit down restaurants. We did and forgot to get it validated and only paid $2.00. We didn't mind and didn't want the hassle of parking again and getting it validated. read more

While strolling down 2nd and PCH in Long Beach, hubby and I stumbled upon a Nike store. Instead of window shopping, we decided to go in and check it out. The store was very clean, organized, and well maintained. They offer a good amount of both women's and men's shoes. They also have clothing for both men and women. My daughter is currently very into shoes, so of course, I make my way over to the shoe section. I immediately found shoes my daughter wanted, some Jordan 1s and dunks. The sales associate that helped us was a new member, and I think her name was Lauren. She was very friendly and patient. I got three pairs of shoes for my daughter, a pair for me (Hello Kitty Nike Prestos), and my hubby got some clothes. We spent over $800! Ugh! The store is located in the heart of 2nd and PCH. I came here to exchange a pair of shoes for a better shoe I wanted to invest in for running. They didn't have the pair I wanted in store so they ordered them for me online. I come to see my receipt when I am walking out the store and realize they ordered me shoes in a women size. I went back to try to immediately fix the issue but they said that it was already in the system. I then realized the address on my order was also missing my apartment number. I called Nike and they also said they couldn't do anything to change the order. Such a frustrating experience just for some shoes. The only reason for two starts is the friendly service from the girl at the door and the apologetic staff member that helped me. read more

The interaction I had with Enok ( hope I'm spelling that correctly) was terrific. He was very informative, and just had a great personality. We visited on a weekday evening in the summer. There were plenty of employees in the store -- they seemed busy making sure the shelves were stocked and the displays were nice. We were greeted by every employee we passed and were helped right away. I like that the employees are pretty much hands off and let you browse in peace until you actually need something, then its seemed pretty easy to get assistance. There was another family there and they were also pretty much left to browse the sneakers on the wall until they were ready to ask for their size. This storefront is on the smaller side -- which is nice so its not too overwhelming. They did seem to have very curated collections, some of the items I was reluctant to order online without seeing it in person were on hand here and that really helped me make my decisions. It was mid summer Olympics that we visited and their Team USA items were well stocked. read more

I guess I'll give one star because I have to. Apparently the employees here don't want customers. So maybe they're able to keep the store open on their own purchases. When this store first opened the customer service was above and beyond and now it's like, trash. Save yourself and drive to another store. I'd honestly drive further so I don't have to deal with your rude employees. I went online to ask if they could price match my shoes because they dropped dramatically in price. They said I had to go in the store since it was an online purchase. I asked if they were sure because I had a newborn and if I didn't have to I didn't want to. But they said yes. Well I walk in and state that I wanted to get the price difference back and not to worry as I was going to purchase more Nike items so if they could put it on a gift card. The girl helping me today around 130p walked away and talked to the supervisor that was in the back. I could hear her say only if it's 14 days. Which seems so odd to me since I have 90 days to return them. She asked me the date I purchased them but wasn't sure so I had told her I was pulling it up because it's an emailed receipt. The WiFi is awful in this store. So I show her the receipt and she turns her head and yells. "Yah just what I thought, it's past 14 days". Let me explain somehow how weird it is that she didn't look at me and say something like, "I'm sorry maam, we have a 14 day price match policy". Nothing just yelling back and forth with her supervisor. ALEXIS the supervisor comes out and says sorry it's past the 14 days and I said I wasn't aware of this 14 days. That other girl immediately responds with, RUDELY!, "it's right on your receipt" Alexis stated that only Nike.com could help me. I explained to her my interaction with them and I was getting upset because I was being talked so rudely to. I said dude they told me to go into the store. That the systems don't cross. They said I had to come in and I even asked if they were sure because I have a newborn baby. 6 weeks old.. So Alexis tells me it's on my receipt. She said she would match it for me this one time only. But wanted my Nike pass in the app. Let me remind you non of this interaction was kind, I think if the other girl could speak with me it would have gone differently. I'm honestly so disappointed. So the WiFi in this store sucks. I asked Alexis if I could just give her my email because the WiFi is so bad I couldn't login. She said no, she needed my pass. That one other girl told me which WiFi to login to. All of this takes time. So because going to settings/wifi/finding an open WiFi/clicking it/letting it load and accepting the terms wasn't fast enough for Alexis she asked for my email. At this point I'm furious. I literally just asked you if I could give you my email because the WiFi is awful in that store. Which is well known, not just my problem. I said no, I just went through this entire process so wait 2 more seconds and you can scan it. That example alone basically describes the entire attitude of this entire transaction. IM BUYING $200 shoes and this is the service you are providing. GTFO I've loved Nike for forever. If I didn't or I wasn't sure about this brand, I. WOULD NEVER STEP FOOT IN A NIKE STORE AGAIN. I left the store and was truly confused about the 14 days thing. I opened my email and read it up and down and sideways and backwards and for the life of me I couldn't find it. I called customer service and they again told me that only the store could help me unless I wanted to completely return the shoes and rebuy them. Which is what I'm going to do. But also, why. I have 90 days to return these. Just give me the price difference back. Be an honest company at every level. Nike needs to provide basic customer service training to their employees. Yeah well I dont think this location was really necessary when they have an outlet nearby which actually has more even though its older items thats actually worth more the trip than this store. So they have absolutely zero in my size so this was a waste of my time. The staff had me sized up and told me mybsize and said they possibly had 2 shoes in my size, a 9 and 14 which was neither my size and they dont even come close. If you are a woman you can find some good buys 8n here but this place is a pop shot. You may get lucky. My husband and I popped in today for new shoes. The store was empty when we arrived. The three female employees stood behind the counter talking to each other. Upon making a selection I had to ask for help with a size. My husband experienced the same. Soon the store was pretty busy, but zero sense of urgency, zero follow up. I went in to find some slides and running shorts. I was unable to find some shorts in my size and was approached a Nike team member to see if I was having trouble finding anything. I told him I couldn't find the size I was looking for in the shorts I wanted to purchase. Deon offered to check their inventory to see if the size I wanted was in stock. He told me they didn't have any in my size but let me know that they had 10 in inventory in a nearby store. He also offered to call the store and have them place the item on hold for me. I really appreciated his effort as most of the time they don't want to go out of there way to help you find items. Deon also helped my wife find a pair of running shorts that he had been looking for. He was extremely patient, professional, and helpful. I will definitely stop by this location more often when I'm in Long Beach if this is how they train their employees. read more

I was astonished that he was proactive and willing helpful at finding me a comfortable shoe size. He's super professional and personable, Nike is very lucky to have him on their team. Bildad has helped me and my family twice with new Nike invincible running shoes. He is knowledgable and very patient. You can trust Bildad with a great recommendation for runners. He even said to check the website and scan with Nike app to see if prices are lower on their site for in store shoes that I might be interested in and they'll match pricing. He helped me with that as well for Another pair. How saavy. He told us about the vending machine where you get free merchandise every 30 days with app. We got free stuff. Bildad is an amazing person, and we have had a great experience with him. I believe this is a unique concept store and not a regular Nike store. It has more neighborhood-inspired collections and the store is curated to fit the vibe of the area (LBC). Not sure if I saw all of that when I first walked into the store but it does feel different and a bit brighter with more modern aesthetics and detailing from the wall to the furniture. Also, the coolest thing is the vending machine on the left side where you can get freebies such as socks and gift cards every month. Have been a Nike lover for years and would definitely come back here for shopping cool gear and more freebies :) read more

I just left the store about 20 minutes ago. Went inside the store with my coworker ready to spend over $500 on shoes/clothes. We were in the store for 5 minutes. There were 4 workers standing around the cash register and just ignored us. They didn't ask if we needed help or anything, they just kept having a personal conversation among themselves. I walked closer to them to see if they would ask me if I needed any help......they said nothing. As we walked out I said "bye" they had the nerves to say "bye" back to me, then I said sarcastically "thanks for all your help" they still did not say anything. The fat one of the bunch kept staring at me as if I didn't belong in the store. This location has to be the most unprofessional, rudest Nike store I have ever encountered. This is a Nike "Live" store, a new concept for their brick and mortar stores. The selection of clothing at each Live location is curated for the surrounding community, in this case Long Beach. We visited the original Melrose Live store; which is unfortunately no longer there. They had such a cool selection, things you normally don't see at any ole nike store. I was kind of disappointed from what they had to offer here in LB. I guess that has to do with the LB community and what the curator has put together for them. The guy at the door was nice, typical greet. No problems with the actual store, but i wouldn't drive all the way to Long Beach to see if they had anything special here. read more

She gave me a size, then ignored me, the gave me another size, then looked like I was about to run away with the shoes.
