Lines were Insane. 2 hours from parking car to standing in a long line to buy tickets (one cashier) only to go into another massive line. Only entertainment is a screen playing various clips of horror movies and music videos. Finally got into walking trail attraction. It was pretty long, the prompt were a little dated but the actors were on point with their jump scares. I was screaming the whole time. There is no option to buy tickets online SO when you get there, the line just to buy them - whether it's regular or Advanced $$ - is ridiculous! Like hours long. I've been coming here for several years now and idk this year it was just OK. The lines are L O N G for both VIP and regular admission, as well as to get tickets... that you can't buy online, or with a credit card. Cash only- and when I went, the (one) ATM on site was BROKEN. I'm sorry I usually don't write bad reviews but the system they have going on isn't working, it's 2022, you shouldn't have to pay cash only. And as for the attraction itself, it could definitely use some work. I've been to MUCH better. read more

These events change often so I want to point out this was a 2017 visit. Nightmare at Gravity hill is a 30-minute walkthrough spread out over 5 acres of land and incorporates numerous scenes/settings, all very well done.  We came across an absolutely hauntingly beautiful lake scene that incorporated someone swimming under the lake - potentially one of my all-time favorite effects so far!  On the property we walked into a movie theater scene which was incredibly well done.  At one point we encountered a hallway where there was a strobing light, and, in the distance,  you could see someone, who suddenly got closer and closer and closer!  In a scene that was very western town in nature, we came across a tall, dark and gruesome friend (he didn't speak though).  There was a bloody hospital setting and a prison setting too.  The bouncy ground and birth canals were also very well done.  Overall there was an abundance of actors, lots of jumping out scares, a lot of attention to detail, and we even ran into and got to speak to the owners - super nice people!  Well done, Gravity Hill! read more

So I'm taking away a star due to wait time . Got there at 10:30 didn't start the attraction until 12:15. Nonetheless this place is GREAT ! Multiple different scare zones and themed walkthroughs . Staff was kind and very well organized with social distancing and COVID-19 policies . Good Job guys !! Definitely would recommend to anyone who is into a good scare . This is one of the best (if not, THE best) haunted house attractions in the area. The scenes are so creepy, creative, and well-implemented. They do a fantastic job with the spacing so you and your group (or your group and a few other people if you have a small group) can truly enjoy the experience. The actors are a lot of fun and not simply just "jump scares." On our most recent trip, they learned the name of one of our companions and called her name in several of the scenes, which we all thought was a lot of fun. They were also comfortable adding a little more humor since we were a group of adults. We've gone here 5 out of the last 6 years (stupid COVID in between) and have enjoyed it every time we went. The VIP line is very worth it and saves time. This past year was a bit of a mess because the line to buy was 2+ hours. It would be great if they offer advance purchases or a separate line for those buying VIP. Either way, this place is EXCELLENT. It's one of the only places around that has excellent pacing of groups and intricate scenes. This place isn't just cheap jump scares. My girlfriend and i love Halloween and do as many haunted houses and attractions as we can find every year, and we somehow had never heard of this one despite living 30 min away...we went tonight with two other friends for opening night on 9/17 with no expectations good or bad, just as something to do, and it was fucking AWESOME!! The attention to detail on all the various set designs and features and effects are top notch and the actors also did an exceptional job!! We often could not tell which were dummies and which were real people because some of them kept SO still until they jumped or ran to scare you!! The way the layout is designed is also great because you get little 'breather' walks in between each set/attraction while navigating the place. We will absolutely be returning again this season with more people and I 10/10 recommend it!! read more

Place is horrible Staff are a bunch of liars made our kids wait 2 1/2 hours and refused to refund money. They tell everyone 1 he wait 2 hours later they say 1 more hour ridiculous. Don't waste your time Owner is a big A$$h!lo We were told we could use them another weekend, but who has 3-4 hours to wait?) The integrity of this business is non existent. Me and my boyfriend arrived at 7:00pm. We waited in line until 7:50pm just to buy tickets, after paying for our tickets (cash only and non refundable) we checked in with a lady who had an iPad. At that point, she told us the wait would be 2 in a half to 3 hours long. We were asked to wait in our vehicle and we would receive a text when to come back. We weren't given the option to know the wait time before paying, or we would have left. At 11:00pm we received a text message! To only to wait another 50 minutes in another line to enter the walk through! At 11:50pm we started the walk and finished at 12:05pm. There was times we even slowed ourselves down so we could be alone and not in a big group. We still finished at 15 minutes long. The website says a 35 minute walk through. It's a shame how you pay, told no refunds and then told the waiting time. This business seems more interested in making money than doing the right thing. Let customers know the wait time up front so they can make the decision whether to stay or not. Not forcing people to stay at your establishment for an unreasonable amount of time. So after 4 hours and 50 minutes of total wait time to do a walk through that took 15 minutes I would not recommend this establishment. I can appreciate the work and effort they put into the walk through but it definitely is not worth the amount of time you have wait to do it. read more

Waste of time. Why? We couldn't even get in! We waited about 2 hours JUST to get tickets - then when you finally get in, you need to wait another 3 hours on another line to finally enter the attraction. Imagine waiting 5 hours just to get scared for a few minutes. The management behind this have no idea what they're doing. They don't have a limit cap on how many people are allowed in, they just keep making huge lines & don't care how long everyone needs to wait. They offer a "Flash pass" for more money & the irony is that even the flash pass line was huge. THIS IS NOT ONE OF THOSE LARGE HALLOWEEN ATTRACTIONS. THIS IS A 30 MINUTES SCARY " WALK THROUGH". The whole thing was $20 and the walk through took about 25-35 minutes. A lot of the time you were just walking through black tarp paths. I really wished they had at least had people scare you during these long stretches of nothingness. Actors-- always in character and seemed to genuinely want to scare you. They were all very good actors. We got scared and startled many times. Props- The areas that had props were decent. This wasn't a "major" haunted attraction, and for the location and general idea, I thought they were fair/good. The walk was short. This was not a 45 minute walk through. My chief complaint was that they didnt place you out enough between people. It should one group of people at a time. We bumped into a lot of people. Had to walk .00000001 mph through the whole thing, and had a lot of surprises ruined for us. When you go, specifically ask for a large break between you and the group in front of you. We really liked that they had REASONABLE priced food/drink and that they had a movie outside. It made the wait time go by fast. read more

I went this past weekend and this place delivers. My group showed up at 7:45 and waited about 1/2 an hour in line. As you wait, horror movie clips and music videos are projected on a big screen. The overall experience took about 35 minutes and we were spooked around every twist and turn. The props are top notch and the actors really get into character. I've been to other haunted attractions in the area and this is now one of my favorites. Definitely check this out! read more

I was excited to visit Nightmare at Gravity Hill after reading a few positive reviews. I knew going in that this wouldn't be Bates Motel or Field of Screams; as the previous reviewer noted, this is NOT a large scale Halloween attraction. This is a small, DIY haunt... more on par with Schaefer Farm's Frightfest or Field of Terror. My review and 3-star rating do take this into account. There are two attractions here: a walk-through haunt, and a zombie themed paintball "experience". We only did the walk-through on this occasion (though I must admit, shooting zombies with paint balls does sound kind of fun). We arrived at 7pm on a Sunday night, and the place was pretty empty. With practically no lines to speak of, they allowed plenty of time between groups - a huge plus. We like to take our time when walking through haunts so we can thoroughly enjoy the props and animatronics; this is really hard to do when there's a group of shrieking pre-teens running up on your heels every 30 seconds. NaGH's props are definitely their draw. I have to say, some of the props here were pretty incredible. The very first scene was so detailed that I nearly forgot I was in a small DIY haunt! There were a couple of other scenes that really impressed me, as well. I'd love to provide more details, but don't want to spoil things for anyone! I don't know if they made this stuff themselves or bought it or what, but my hat goes off to them. There were a couple of very cool animatronics, too. One in particular - a giant statue of the Grim Reaper - had us all gaping in awe. In between sets, however, there was a whole lot of... nothing. The twisty, black fabric-lined pathways were an effective way to get us from Point A to Point B - but there was nothing there to provide any sort of atmosphere. I mean, toss a few skulls around and stick some rubber heads on spikes... any sort of spooky eye candy would have been appreciated. The actors weren't the strong point here, either. There were a few standouts - special mention goes to the exceptionally creepy little girl that really hates her toys. You were awesome! But many of the actors here relied on the Pop-Out-And-Scream-In-Your-Face method of scare acting... which honestly isn't scary. It just hurts my eardrums. There are much more effective ways to scare people, such as diversion techniques or quiet, creepy stalking... and for bog's sake, ALWAYS remain in character. If the actors here can figure this out, NaGH could be really awesome. If I'd gotten some really good scares, I would have given NaGH a better rating. The sets alone deserve 4 stars! But at $20 for a single attraction, I have to be really wowed. They're not quite there yet... but I'll definitely give them another shot. read more

I'd say come here with an open mind and no expectations and you'll leave satisfied. Drove about 45 minutes to get here on a Saturday night. Regular priced tickets are 25 but for an extra $10 you can get in the fast pass line which cut the wait down by a lot since the regular line looked tremendously long. They show clips of horror movies on a projection screen while you wait. They sell light refreshments there, hot chocolate and some assorted candy options. There were 14 haunted scenes and was told the walk through would take about 40 mins. I've been to other haunted attractions in the past with mazes and hayrides but this place is strictly a walk through and actors are not allowed to touch you. Pretty creative sets that seemed nicely designed and a lot of effort and money were put into them. Wish I could've taken pictures. They let small groups in at a time which is the best way to do it in my opinion. That way you don't get the tail end of the scare that the people in front of you just jumped at. They had this pretty cool room with lights and fog that made you feel like you were in a swamp. I give 5 stars to that room. Overall I'd say the scare factor was 2.5/5. It was a fun time but I don't think I'll be returning. I spent longer driving here than the attraction itself, and it wasn't that scary to me. It's def more kid friendly read more

This was a last-minute experience. I was supposed to go to Six Flags and the line was wrapped around, it would've took over an hour to move 5 miles. So we decided to hit the closest wanted houses to Jackson New Jersey. This one popped up on yelp with great reviews. Well it was definitely worth it. I had a blast. We got there fairly Early so the lines were not that bad. They had tens for food as well as drinks. Their make up was phenomenal and their props were out of this world. The staff was really sweet and nice and it was an all-around great time. I wish they were closer cause I can't wait to go back next year read more

My absolute favorite Halloween haunt. The entire vibe just exemplifies fall and Halloween. Yes, you have to wait long in line, but the wait is fun. They play clips from horror movies and creepy music videos to set the vibe. The walk-through is really long and honestly creepy. It's so unique and nothing like the typical haunted hayrides. Arrived after 7PM and purchased the express passes at $50 a pop so that we could enter the Haunted House within an hour, versus purchasing the regular admission pass for $30 and waiting 3-4 hours. We were told we'd receive a text within an hour, alerting us that it was time to enter and received the text in less time than that! The organization of the event was mint! The staff outside of the haunted house were all very helpful and polite and they each all get 5 Stars in my book! It's some of staff inside the haunted house that reduced my rating in this review. Before you enter, you are told that you have 35-45 minutes inside the Haunted House set up. During the walk through of the Haunted House my group got separated and my sister and I stopped up ahead to wait up for the others and two staff members poked their heads up from behind the black tarp to scare us and they did and gave us a good thrill however we did not leave/run ahead because we were still waiting on the rest of our group, one of the staff members really said that we needed to keep walking and my sister giggly and excited replied back that we were just waiting for her daughter and the other kids to come along and that staff member said OK but hurry up so my sister walked back to get the others then the other staff member says aloud "they can't keep stopping this is getting annoying"... from where I stood I looked up into his face and he was actually serious. I thought to myself his comment was both unnecessary and pretty rude so I actually started walking forward so that I could continue out of his section. At another point in time someone jumped up and hit me on the top of my head, upon turning the maze I saw no one so I have no idea who did that, but it hurt. At another point a ghoul followed us and yelled into my face, I felt his breath through my mask and was SO upset by it. He then rushed up and did the same thing to my sister who was luckily also masked but neither of us got the point of why he came so closely into our personal space. At the end we were glad to exit. All staff members involved put their hearts and immense effort into pulling off what should have been a great thrill but unfortunately for me, a few spoiled the idea of it for me and so I would not go back. read more

There are some amazing ones in central PA that know how to do it right, and handle the crowds. They get twice as many people, and minimal wait. I've been going here for the past two years and I enjoy it. I only live 10 minutes away so it's easy for me to get it. They have two attractions: zombie paintball and the walk-through. I only did the walk-through. While you are waiting on line, they have scenes from scary movies playing or some music videos so it keeps you entertained in a long line. I went on a Sunday night and probably waited about 20 minutes. I don't get scared easily and I love going to these types of things. Overall, my impression is that I really enjoyed it. I only think I jumped once. I really love this place because you can tell how hard every person works. From acting to props and more, they truly want you to have an enjoyable experience which is why I like this place so much. The only problem is that they need to space out people more. I can't stand running into other groups during the attraction! Otherwise, 4 stars! read more

Went with a group of friends (6 of us). We got there around 7:30p.m Waited for 5 and a half hours just to get in. We ended leaving at 1:20 a.m A lot of people ended up leaving because they just didn't want to wait. Staff said the whole thing will take 45 minutes but as we got closer to the front of the line they just kept letting people go in because of how late it was, which was not fair because the people who were in front of the line earlier go to take there time throughout the whole thing . We were rushed by the amount of people behind us and the guests in front of us were ruining the jump scares, we could see everything before it happened because of them. It is not the guests fault that our experience wasn't fun at all. I personally blame the staff for not knowing the limit of how many people they allow in to wait in line, making people wait 5 hours just for staff to let everyone in relatively at the same time and not having any control over anything. At the end of everything all my friends and I had the same opinion, it was not worth it for the amount of time you have to wait. Waste of time and money. If you don't mind waiting in a long 3-5 hour line I don't recommend anyone coming here. The walk through had some great scenes set up and took a decent amount of time. I agree that you really should leave some time between you and the group ahead of you. My husband and I were with a group of 3 people which included a young girl. She got so scared, she had to get out. The line was so long; it was worth it to pay for the express pass. Don't bother with the zombie paintball. That blew. 2 scenes with mounted paintball guns. You can't even tell if you're hitting them and I doubt I had 50 shots per scene. I've been to a lot of haunted attractions, this one was definitely up there with the best ones. We got there at 8 pm, pretty long lines even at that time. We got the express line, 10 bucks more, which was still about an hour wait, compared to the over 2 hour wait for the regular line.....but worth it! The line when we were done was at least 3 times longer, so get there earlier rather than later. Its October....everyone is heading to a haunted attraction, so not much they can do with the abundance of patrons. They have a movie screen that plays rock videos and scary movie clips to watch as your waiting. We met another 2 couples in line and were grouped in with them, which was cool. We decided we would take the back of the group, which at most places the back doesn't get a lot of scares or action, but not here. The actors made sure to get everyone in the group! Even if you saw them initially scare the people in the front, they would linger around and start to FOLLOW YOU at the end of the group!! Very nice work! About a 30 minute walk through, lots of different themed mazes. One building we were given 3D glasses. All the actors were very into their roles. Nightmare at Gravity Hill puts Fright Fest at Great Adventure to shame! It was the best $20 bucks I spent. The attractions and scare factor were right at the top. I waited on line for over an hour at Fright Fest to walk through a "so called" haunted house and was in and out in about a minute. No scare and no enthusiasm from the actors.
