Characters walk by for photo ops and entertainment while you wait in line. NYPD staff is so fun and friendly. The house is for ages 12 and older, they allow younger ages at the parent's discretion. It so well done with jump scares in almost every room. It feels like a safe outing. Hours this year are 5pm to 11pm from Friday to Sunday. They let you in in small groups so you don't feel rushed. At the end, they sell Halloween themed souvenirs with NYPD and Fort Totten on them. I bought a Tshirt to support such an awesome event which is FREE to the community. We loved it and appreciated it!

Situated across from the school, this corner house/yard turned into a haunted experience will blow you away. You can tell a lot has gone into this and they put so much effort into the experience. The best part is that it's free! Yes, no admission fee BUT they do accept donations that they turn around and give to a good charity. We had a few very weird occurrences happen throughout the night, most notably in the attic and basement, both of which gave off insanely heavy vibes. There isn't an actual parking lot- you're going to have to park your car in the middle of a field, but there are parking attendants to guide you. And yes, it's free! I came on a Thursday night 10/24 and there were no lines at all. There's a couple of ticket options depending on how many haunted attractions you want to do. There are 5 in total: Haunted Hayride, Kornfield Maze, Karnival, Timmery Manor, Paintball Wagon Ride. One attraction = $20 Two attractions = $35 Three attractions = $45 Four attractions = $50 Five attractions = $65 We didn't have much time so we only did one attraction, the Haunted Hayride. There was no wait at all, so we were able to get on right away. The entire attraction lasted about 15 minutes. I don't want to spoil anything.... but it was enjoyable. However, coming from someone who is the biggest scaredy cat, I wasn't SUPER spooked... so see for yourself. The farm itself is small and easy to navigate. All of the attractions are close to one another. There were actors walking around and I definitely got a couple of jump scares LOL. They have food stands available at very reasonable prices (mostly carnival/fair-themed food like burgers, fries, funnel cake, hot dogs). Plenty of seating to enjoy your food. That being said, again, just not enough actors within the haunt. We walked through several scenes without seeing an actor. For the price of the tickets (which are on par with much larger places like Penhurst Asylum and East State Penitentiary) Hotel of Horror just does not stack up with the big boys. Would we return?
