One thing I always recommend is leave a lot more time to do your project than you think you're going to need. Especially with kids! But I have found the staff to be pleasant and so helpful, they have a good selection of pieces to choose from, and it's just a really relaxing and peaceful way to spend a few hours. I love how they have such wide variety of items to choose form... the options were endless and all SO CUTE! The staff members are available to give you refills on your paint during your session and they are also willing to give you additional colors after your chosen 5. They also have tons of tools to use at your disposal (stencils, different types of brushes, hairdryers, etc).  Reservations are up to 2 hours, which I found to be on the shorter side (esp for a perfectionist like me!). My friends and I actually did not finish our pottery pieces during our first visit, but they were very accommodating and we were able to come back to finish our pieces a few weeks after.  Pieces are ready for pick up 1 week after you finish painting, which is a very quick turn around.

They have plenty of items to pick from and the prices are all on the pieces. The service is good and they bring you the paint you need. The worker reminded us right at the 2 hour mark that we had to finish up and leave, or that we could take our pieces to go and bring them back. We decided to just stop our pieces and leave them as is. We came back a few weeks later to pick up our finished pieces. Overall a fun spot that I've been to a few times, but definitely not affordable as a regular hobby.

The staff person greeted us promptly, and we found her to be friendly, patient and professional. She quickly set us up at a table. The children picked out their favorite ceramic (a truck and a koala bear) and we then headed over to the paints. You can select a handful of paint colors at a time which you squeeze onto a ceramic palate, and you can get refills or new colors as needed. We spent about an hour painting (the younger one a little less). Once completed the staff collects your work of art and two weeks later you can pick up your kiln fired and glazed masterpieces. There were quite a few ceramics to choose from. Adults might like this place too. Prices that I saw ranged from a low of around $10 to $50 and more depending on the size of the ceramic. We enjoyed our visit here and would be happy to return.

I made a vase. My wife made a bowl & lid. I accidentally broke a part of my vase off at the top while making it. But Cait gave me a great idea. Why not put roses at that spot? She showed me how to make them. I would have never thought that I could make something like this. 2 weeks later we went back to paint our pieces (a few doors down at a different studio). Even after a few coats, the paint looked dull. Then we went back at a later time to pick our pieces up. WOW!! You can see in the included photos. The firing brings the colors out so vibrant. It was worth every penny for this wonderful experience with such a wonderful staff. Thank you. We look forward to our next visit.

What really sealed the deal for me was the ability to paint and leave with your masterpiece on the very same day. It was super important for the kids to take home what they worked on; waiting a whole week for a pot to cure and dry is something we can save for a future birthday. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed. There were other kids happily making soap, and the woman who greeted us kindly explained that we could pick whatever we wanted to paint. Once we selected our items, we paid and were set up at a table with paints, brushes, and an apron. I'm so glad she made sure we knew the paint didn't wash out of clothes. Pro-tip: Even if you're not painting, wear the apron. Trust me, your shirt will thank you for this advice! The kids had an absolute blast. It was so interactive, and once they finished, they had blow dryer stations so we could dry the paint. The best part? They took the painted items to the back and made them all shiny! This place is a definite hit. And I hear it's fun even for adults with no kids in tow. Girls' night, anyone? Sign me up!
