While on my way to brunch, I saw this cookie spot and made a mental note to check it out on the way back. I stopped in and didn't have to wait long at all. I got the red velvet cookie and it looked delicious! It was about the size of a Crumbl Cookie. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the flavor. So funny as we have a Night Owl Cookies in Pembroke Pines close to where we live, but have never been. We were in Wynwood for a grown ups date night for dinner and showing off Wynwood. Needed something sweet after dinner, walked around and decided between ice cream, donuts or cookies! Our crew decided on cookies. Saw Insomnia Cookies first and then saw another big cookie sign a few doors down across the street and it was Night Owl Cookies. We opted for Night Owl Cookies. It was around 9:45pm when we walked in. The place was empty when we arrived but more people eventually rolled in after us. It's crazy because I noticed their store hours and they are open until 2am!!! Must be the late night crowd who wants something sweet after drinking and partying so hard. Jerrell was our cookie dealer and he was very friendly and helpful. Explained all the different cookie options and let us know which were the popular ones! Everything we ordered: * Brookie * S'mores * Red Velvet * Ave Maria (guava) * Oreo Brownie Cheesecake * Cup of milk I knew from the start all I wanted was the Brookie, it's the perfect combo of a cookie and brownie. This was hands down my fave! The brownie swirl was the perfect dark chocolate flavor. The cookie wasn't too sweet which is always a win in my book. My husband loves guava so we had to get the Ave Maria. Not gonna lie, this was actually pretty good too. I only had a small bite of the other cookies. And several bites of the Brookie. Duh! The S'mores and Red Velvet were a bit too sweet for me. We also got the Oreo Brownie Cheesecake for the kids and that was pretty good, the kids love Oreos, brownies and cheesecake so this was a nice combo. Get the milk too peoples!!! The milk was perfection with these fresh warm cookies. DUDE!!! Ice cold milk with warm chewy cookies. I'm SOLD!!! The vibe is fun and bright neon light signs on the wall. Definitely Insta-grammable! Great photo ops in this space. Fun signs like "Night Owl: Hella Fresh" and "Spill Tea, Not Milk". The tables were my favorite as they were clear 1-inch thick tops with SPRINKLES inside. I don't remember how I heard about night owl cookies but I was so excited when I got to Florida and looked up my want to go pens on Google maps and saw that we were in the vicinity of night owl. It is about a block from smorgasburg so we decided to go while on a walk back to the area. It was a fantastic decision it reminds me of a better more local version of crumbl. My boyfriend and I split two cookies because of course if you know anything about this type of cookie they're huge. We got both of the cheesecake options they had because they were cookie-based and or chocolate and they delivered wonderfully. Unlike what you can expect at other cookie places they do take a little bit of time to make sure that they deliver you a fresh cookie so there was a little bit of a delay between when you order them when you actually receive your cookies but they come out nice and fresh which is incredible. I also really enjoyed waiting in this neon and sprinkle wonderland. All of the tables are filled with sprinkles. I saw a lot of people coming through and taking pictures with the neon signs too as they were waiting for cookies and eating cookies. Brookie was a bit different from what I expected - it was less brownie / cookie swirl and more small pieces of brownie throughout, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. The chocolate chip cookie however, was just fine to me. I am obsessed with cookies and chose not to finish it. It's a personal preference, but I prefer semisweet or dark chocolate and this tasted like milk chocolate chips. Although I'm not 100% sure, it was just very sweet and it felt so overpowered by all the chocolate. And I LOVE chocolate!
