This is essentially a food truck. A good food truck perhaps but all outside tables, no air conditioning and hardest of all, no ice for drinks. I asked for a cup of ice and they acted a little miffed or irritated. If I had a restaurant in the south, I would do whatever I had to do in order offer fresh brewed iced tea (with lemon slices). People will pay $3+ for a product that costs 35 cents to make. Our lunch was $43 plus tip. I drove 15 miles to try this out so I would say the food was just shy of a 4.0 and the hospitality was 1.0. This scratch made pasta co. was started and is based in Nashville. They specialize in fresh Pasta and Marinara. They have been featured in the Nashville Scene, Eater and the Tennessean. The only downside that I see is that it's a takeout or outdoor dining only, but the food is really good and it was ready in about 10 minutes. You can build your own Bowl or they serve Sandwiches, Mac & Cheese, Sandwiches, Salads, Sides and Desserts. They also offer Vegan Meatballs & Vegetarian options. You can take a box of their Bronze cut Pasta or a bottle of their Marinara home with you or order it online and have it delivered to you. I got A house favorite-- The Chicken Parmesan. It was a good portion size and I could tell it was freshly made. It was delicious. It has a Buttermilk fried Chicken breast atop their Spaghetti topped with house Marinara, Fresh Mozzarella and Fresh Basil. My wife got the Meatball sub with fresh handcut fries. The sandwich has hand rolled Beef Meatballs topped with house Marinara, Provolone, Mozzarella, Basil and Parmesan served in a fresh baked French Roll. This is a full size sub. It was about 8 or 10 inches. She gave it a 7 out of 10. She said she would get it again. It's worth stopping in and eating or getting some pasta and sauce to take home and make yourself. read more

So disappointed. I have a hard time believing a chef would willingly make and serve something this poor, look at it go "yep, this is what I'm doing to represent my restaurant and life". Yet here we are I had not eaten that day coming in from a flight, and was extremely hungry. We ordered it to be delivered, and when we opened the packaging, my appetite was suddenly no where to be found. It jumped out the window of our hotel room onto the concrete below, because this is what my friend and I saw (see attached photos). Alfredo was too thick and lacked flavor, was just very heavy and creamy but needed salt and garlic. This happens when you use too much roux. The chicken was over cooked and dry and the broccoli was under cooked and too crunchy. The cannoli was limp and soggy. The pasta ala vodka was better, and the focaccia is excellent. As others mentioned, this location is a takeout place, so you order at the window and there's some seating outside while you wait. I actually waited in my car and it was cold, so the guy at the window was kind enough to bring it out to me after I went to check on my order. I ended up with Eggplant Parm over spaghetti with pesto and a side of meatballs with red sauce. They offered multiple kinds of pastas and sauces, which is fun. The eggplant was pretty good, though mostly breading, and the pasta was nice, cooked slightly al dente. I got it with pesto just to try it, but it was a bit much for a primary dish's sauce since pesto is pretty much all oil. It was walnut pesto, and that had a nice, rich flavor to it. The Meatballs were really good! The side dish came with three that were all pretty big and in red sauce. I liked that their tomato sauce wasn't too sweet like other places, and the meatballs had a bit of a kick to them. They were definitely my favorite part. Both the main and the side came with a slice of bread and it was fine, though a bit salty. Overall, I really liked the food here, but I struggle with paying so much for takeout pasta. Pasta is a go-to dish at home simply because it's so cheap and easy, so I just find it hard to justify coming here often. But, definitely a super filling meal with a short wait (it took about ten minutes). read more

This is the perfect lunch device if you work in donelson! They have pasta, salad and sandwiches. I got the Nashville's #1 Italian Beef sandwich. It had a lot of good flavor and was a decent portion. I also got the fries which were really good. They only have outdoor seating as you order at a window and take everything Togo. Was disappointed unfortunately. Had the beef and fries. Fries were good fresh cut but beef was cold and cheese thrown on the bottom of roll was cold making the sandwich just luke warm at best. The best Nicoletto's macaroni is when you buy it in the box at the grocery store. The fussili is bronze cut and made high quality! This being said, if you allow anyone at Nicolettos to cook the pasta for you and even worse, add sauce, it's dead then. A resounding problem with this brand is that grab-and-go food is cafeteria quality at best. The bar for Italian food in Nashville is very low and Nico here has contributed to that more than most. The pasta is over cooked to mush. Order a salad it's dressed to mush. The sandwiches are $15 mush. Pre-grated cheese that looks like plastic. Such a shame to see the expansion of poor quality. I sincerely wish they would hire an executive chef to oversee all cooked food. If they dialed back the sugar in the red sauce and cooked all the noodles for 90 seconds less that would be a positive leap forward. read more

This location just opened up 2 minutes from our house. I had so many high hopes given the reputation. Alas, I ordered the beef sandwich for pick-up and it was the soggiest spoon needed bag of mush. I should note that I picked up the sandwich and ate it almost immediately, so it is not like it was sitting there in condensation for 20 minutes. The level of mush, I don't think you could really call it bread, was intense. There was absolutely no form to the sandwich, it fell apart when you picked it up. It felt like the beef was wrapped in mashed potatoes. I will give them another shot in hopes that I can edit this review. This spot is delicious. Very affordable for amazing size portions. The staff were very nice and professional, especially Anthony, who was at the register. The fries were delicious and the pasta was perfectly prepared. I was originally hesitant to go here based on a low number of reviews, but this is my effort to change that. They deserve all the due credit and recognition. They also have a small outdoor seating area that adds a pretty chill vide if you want sit and enjoy your food there verses taking your food to go. Came into Nashville area for work. Thought I was going to a sit down restaurant with a bar so was surprised when I saw just a walk up window. SO GLAD I STAYED AND TRIED IT! Got the meatball sub and Italian salad. The sauce with the basil on the sandwich was perfectly seasoned and the meatballs were soft and hot. Bread was perfect!
