So disappointed. I have a hard time believing a chef would willingly make and serve something this poor, look at it go "yep, this is what I'm doing to represent my restaurant and life". Yet here we are I had not eaten that day coming in from a flight, and was extremely hungry. We ordered it to be delivered, and when we opened the packaging, my appetite was suddenly no where to be found. It jumped out the window of our hotel room onto the concrete below, because this is what my friend and I saw (see attached photos). Im not sure whether mine was the gnocchi bolognese, or the wet food I feed my dog. my friend? either spaghetti & meatballs or week old leftover sadly forgotten in the fridge because the person forget to leave them at the restaurant. I am not one to leave bad reviews, but I was actually very sad. I downloaded yelp just to do this. Do not go here. Please.

This is our second time having their food this week! All of the pasta that we've ordered are delicious. The gnocchi bolognese is my favorite, so flavorful. It is a walk-up eatery with about 5 tables for outdoor seating. Service was pretty good & they're very helpful.

If you are seeing this you probably live in Donelson, and this is a must try spot! Great price for a lot of food, I'm a bigger guy and couldn't even finish my food Food was so amazing, with great flavors! Service was pretty quick and friendly, it seemed busy but didn't have to wait too long for food! Nice little area to sit as well, just wish they had music playing while I sat and ate! Overall really great and gonna be back to try more things so I can be able to say this is a five star!

This is the perfect lunch device if you work in donelson! They have pasta, salad and sandwiches. I got the Nashville's #1 Italian Beef sandwich. It had a lot of good flavor and was a decent portion. I also got the fries which were really good. They only have outdoor seating as you order at a window and take everything Togo. Will definitely come back to try the other things on the menu!

I love a perfectly executed bagel in the same way that Dale Cooper loves a damn fine cup of coffee. As such, I had kind of given up hope to find an actual bagel in town. Bagels are my birthright…read more I am a New Jerseyan / New Yorker that left the godless north for Nashville 10+ years ago. I was so afraid I would never have another good bagel again that I literally took bagel-baking classes at the Culinary Institute of America. I was right to be scared. For years, Nashville bagels were just bread donuts. Soft circles of steamed sadness committing breakfast fraud. The kind of thing someone hands you and says, "It's basically the same," right before you question every decision that led you south. Then this place showed up. It started as a pop-up inside TKO, R.I.P., and now it has taken over the whole space. This place gets it right. The bagels are boiled, rolled, baked, chewy, crusty, and spiritually accurate. Not "good for Nashville." Not "pretty close." Just really freaking good bagels. No apologies needed. The place looks the way a bagel shop is supposed to look. Concrete floors. Friendly chaos. People working hard behind the counter. And the people? That's the real thing. Mr. Aaron, his wife, and the whole crew are amazing. They know your name. They bust your chops. You bust theirs. That is community. That is customer service with a pulse. They even have a Mets fan, which proves their commitment to authenticity and long-term emotional damage. It's the kind of place you want to go every day, if your wallet, doctor, and basic sense of shame weren't constantly trying to ruin your life. Nashville finally has a real bagel place. I do not say that lightly. I say that as a man who has opinions about crust, chew, schmear, water, and most things. But this place rules. Go. Eat. Complain about the Mets. Order another bagel. Repeat.

And to those people, I ask, "Have you ever been to Antioch?" No, this place isn't scary or in a rough neighborhood. It's definitely not Brentwood, but it's safe to say you can leave your pitchforks and torches at home. It is, for lack of better words, located in a hole in the wall of a micro-tiny strip mall, next to a sports bar. Inside, it is sweet and cozy. In this cozy place, you will find the friendliest of staff members. To have an entire staff give their customers the utmost respect is one of the most challenging tasks of any business owner. So the fact that this owner was able to achieve such a difficult task is something to applaud. There is no board with an entire menu, but there are small pamphlets off to the side with the menu. I ordered the pepperoni pizza along with the meatballs as an appetizer. My friend and I sat outside, where they have outdoor seating and tables. That, I have to say, is the only downside to this place. The seating. No indoor seating, and with how ever-changing Middle Tennessee's weather is, you might have to drive it home or eat it in the car. But with humidity changing texture in a box or to-go box, it might take the freshness away from the experience. After the food was brought out to us, which is a plus and highly appreciated, we were ready to eat. I did have to run inside to grab some packets of crushed red pepper. You must ask for it, which, without hesitation, the man minding the wood stove gladly grabbed for me. Separating a slice of pizza from the others was a sight to see. What you typically want to see separating pizza. The ooey gooey cheese in entanglement. I took a bite and fell in love with the freshness. Every ingredient is fresh, and you don't feel that awful sloth feeling that a Pizza Hut pizza would leave you with. The pepperoni was to die for. Although the meatballs had a flavor that I wasn't too happy with, I knew they were good, even if my flavor profile didn't desire it much. The meatballs were incredibly soft, and the sauce they bathed in, with a sprinkle of ricotta cheese, was divine. My friend happily downed the entire box they sat in. This now will forever be one of my go-to pizza places. And yes, it's worth it to eat in your car, if need be.

I especially love it when simplicity and genuine passion is served, not just presentation. Anyway, to start off - this market, and it's a market, not quite a restaurant. When my friend and I stopped in, there was one table, four chairs. Since we were there late, we were able to sit and dine in. Sitting and eating there allowed us to chat with Kojo - the owner. Learning not just about the market but his history and his passion for what he does. Switching gears again - the market is in a huge shopping plaza. Lots of parking. And free. As for the food - see the pics. Dinner pics is mixed in with what was left in the market. I can't even begin to explain how much I enjoyed the flavors of the dishes he made on the spot for us. As we were there late in the day, most of the popular dishes were sold out however, he made a few suggestions, even two that were off the menu and made it to order. When we were there, it was a one man operation. So he was also our host and server. If you couldn't tell - service was excellent. Chatting about food. About seafood. About the beginning of Gulf Port. And about life in general. This is one of those places, that if I lived there - I'd frequent the place just because of him. It's just too bad that me going there requires a plane ticket and a five or so hour flight. But, also know this - next time I fly into Nashville, I'll make my way to Hermitage and have more delicious, fresh seafood.

**April 2025: Saturday Evening Visit**…read more My friend and I wanted to eat somewhere in the Hermitage area since that's where we were staying and Gulf Port Seafood had really high ratings, which were 100% well deserved. I should preface this by saying that Gulf Port is a seafood market first and that they have one table (4 chairs) so you can dine-in - but space is limited. Kojo, the restaurant owner, has both raw and hot options for patrons to enjoy. We came pretty late on a Saturday so many of his popular items (gumbo and lobster roll) were sold out, but we decide to try his other offerings which were delicious. We ordered the 2 orders of Cajun Crawfish Roll (methinks $15?), Seafood Mac & Cheese (methinks $20?) and Shrimp and Grits ($20? maybe) and all were made to order and brought to our table in a timely manner. The Cajun Crawfish Rolls came out first (I guess one order is given two rolls) and we demolished it. The toasted bun had a nice char, but was fluffy on the inside and the cajun sauce gave the crawfish nice flavor. We devoured this and were really impressed with the item. Next the Seafood Mac and Cheese came our as well as the shrimp and grits. The Mac and Cheese had such a great blend of cheeses and the noodles were cooked al dente. The grits on the shrimp and grits were scrumptious - not mushy at all and the shrimp was cooked through. Everything tasted very comforting and the prices are very reasonable! Overall, this was definitely a highlight meal of my Southern States travels and the next time I'm back in Nashville I hope to try the gumbo and lobster roll!

Today probably marked thirty years since I first visited a Sbarro's and I was hungry and, well, I'll probably come back in thirty more years and check again because it hasn't gotten any better. I got a calzone that I watched as it went through the little mini heater and was wrapped up and plunked down in the queue as I waited for person after person who had never paid for an item in their life question if they could get something free or what the price was with tax and finally I was given the opportunity to pay. I'll skip that it was a little over 100% more than the last time, inflation's a bitch, but it just wasn't good. Cheese that had the consistency of a cheese stick, spinach that oddly had no flavor, and an oil just located in the wrong parts. No marinara sauce included either which meh. I've been here to this particular Sbarros a couple of times in the past two years, attempts to get something I can eat and get moving quickly usually foiled by heating times and a line of people who have literally never heard of any of the offerings before. "What's a Calzone? Why is that pizza square? Would it help if I mumbled the question so you have to ask me to repeat it twenty more times?" the results have been the same - cardboard pizza, lowest possible flavor, you could get a full tasty Detroit style pizza elsewhere for about the same price as a couple of slices here. They've got a 50+ inch TV with a nonstop video of people eating pizza, perhaps they should turn that into an educational endeavor for the people who have never been in a line, ever, in their lives. But really, it's just not good. It could be good. The ingredients have gone way downhill.
