Now when I say really good pizza,…read moreI'm talking about the mom and pop Italian places in Chicago, New York and Miami that pizza lovers go out of their way to patronize. Well I'm happy to report 5 points pizza is very damn close to ringing that bell. Thin crust that isn't soggy or floppy but sturdy and foldable with semolina on the bottom. The sauce has an appropriate level of spice that compliments the pie not sweet or overpowering garlicky. That the toppings are spot on applied generously. Altogether these come into one to make a beautifully delicious pie. I normally get the plain cheese pizza because when you execute at the high level 5 points does, that's all you need! Highly recommend.

I would have expected (and forgiven) some hasty replies given the state of chaos, but the staff was genuinely so wonderful while working their butts off. We ended up finding a spot in the upstairs seat-yourself section within 10 minutes and had excellent service from the bartenders up there. Great TVs and fun atmosphere to watch a game. The food was excellent overall. The hot honey pepperoni pizza with feta was phenomenal, so delicious. The pesto chicken sandwich was also great. We had 2 hot chicken sandwiches which were good. Everything was hot and fresh. Reasonably priced & good quantity of food for the prices. I would definitely come back, and will make a reservation next time to make everyone's life easier!

I thought he was underestimating my constitution! Well, here I go, eating crow again. Those things are STRONG, trust me. And if you don't trust me, trust the boy. And if you don't trust him, enjoy your crow. As for the pizza, it was thinly crusted, adequately sauced, appropriately cheesed, with toppings distributed brilliantly. What more can you ask for?

Since I wasn't about to hop on a plane with leftovers and because it was too delicious to let go to waste, I finished every last bite. The restaurant area and bathroom were pristine. This is a well kept establishment. I recommend!

We loved the beef tartare ($28) and the ricotta spread with the focaccia snack plate. The Chicago-style thin crust is killer and they have so pizzas to choose from. My personal favorite is the Peppy Boy. Service is super quick, and even if you don't sit on the patio, the open garage doors keep the space cool and breezy! Just be sure to time your trip right since it gets super busy, and don't forget to get your garage parking validated down the street!

To be honest, I've only tried the pizza, so I can't speak to the sandwiches. The Caesar salad is really good, and the tater tots are definitely worth ordering. The pizza dips add an extra layer of flavor, although the pizzas themselves are so delicious that they honestly don't need much help. Where I do find some inconsistency is with the wine selection. There have been quite a few times when the bottles we like aren't in stock. The other is the pizza toppings--sometimes the pizzas come loaded with toppings, while other times they're noticeably lighter. Overall, though, the pizza is very good. The atmosphere is casual and easygoing, and the gluten-free pizza is excellent--a huge plus for us. Despite the inconsistencies, we'll definitely keep coming back!

Frankie's -- Our New Go-To Italian Restaurant!…read more Frankie's is definitely not a restaurant you want to judge by its cover. Walking in, we honestly didn't have the highest expectations--but our perspective changed very quickly! The service was friendly, kind, and incredibly thoughtful. Our waitress walked my wife through the cocktail options, while the sommelier offered to take our bottle of wine and chill it in their cellar. Those little touches made a great first impression. And the food? An absolute 10! As our waitress highlighted the menu, I asked if they had bruschetta. They didn't, but she suggested combining two dishes to create our own--and we did! Their Heirloom Tomato Salad was fantastic, especially paired with their olive oil. The flavor was terrific. For our main courses, my wife ordered the Tennessee Corn Ravioli with Crispy Prosciutto, and I had the Cavatelli with Hot Sausage and Browned Sage Butter. Both were absolutely fantastic. Since moving here, we've been looking for our "go-to" Italian restaurant--and we found it! Overall, we couldn't have been happier. The food was a 10/10, and the service and care from our waitress and the management were excellent. We'll be back over and over and over! Our only suggestion: as the sun sets, several tables get hit with direct sunlight. A little shade would make the experience even better and keep guests from getting blinded during dinner. But that's a very small issue compared with how great everything else was. Frankie's is a winner!

The Bianca bread has nice flavor, but ours was rather charred. The meat and cheese plate is a good sampling for 2-3. The seasonal pasta with Tennessee was delicious but overly salty. I wanted the corn to shine a bit more, but the crunchy prosciutto takes over. The cavatelli with spicy sausage is a rich, oily dish with gummy texture. I wouldn't get that dish again. Dessert was a perfect end. The peach cake is not too sweet, while the chocolate tort is rich and happy. Service was great, and the interior is refined, warm, and restrained.
