We were in Nashville for a few weeks and passed Luogo every day to and from work…read more It looked beautiful, it was always packed, so one night we decided to stop in. We know why it's packed now. The interior is stunning, the service was on point. Professional and personable at the same time. We had the pleasure of sitting outside on a beautiful evening. It was perfect. We started with the tuna tartare and marinated octopus. I'm iffy when it comes to octopus. If it isn't done right, it's horrific. This was so tender, sliced thin, and was a perfect bite with the chilled potatoes. The tuna tartare was equally as good, but the octopus stole show. The tuna has a burnt orange vinaigrette around the outside of the plate. It's more than just a garnish. Make sure you get a bite with the tuna. For dinner we had the bolognese, duck ragu, and braised short rib. All three dishes melted in your mouth. The duck was my favorite, I added a little whipped ricotta to each bite and it was just 10/10. For dessert I asked if they could make a pistachio martini, and gave them the ingredients. Their bartender hadn't heard of one, free poured it, and absolutely nailed it. The cannoli filling was too sweet and too thick for me. It tasted like thick buttercream icing. Personal preference, but I prefer a lighter filling. All in all, I would say don't walk to Luogo...RUN. Reservations are highly recommended.

Loved it. A very interesting Sicilian influence right from the bread sticks. I had the "grilled…read moreCaesar Salad", arancini, carpaccio, and the lobster fettuccine. I was intrigued by that grilled Caesar and it was interesting (you should add the anchovies since they come in the side) , the rest had lots of that Sicilian spice that I love in a delicate fashion. Service was on time and very warm and comfortable. The wine list, very Italian favored, I was very lucky with my "shoot from the hip" selection (some brunello di moltsnccino) red), I'm a Spaniard wine guy. For dessert we ordered a tiramisú and I was shocked because it came served in an espresso machine, which took me back to my childhood. The only thing that didn't cut it was the Rob Roy, new bartender generations must learn how to fix the oldest and best appetitive. All around one the very best places I have eaten in Nashville, Tennessee since 1988.

Only one of us had been to Pelato's so this was a fun experience. The food was absolutely delicious. We all shared the Potato Croquettes, Meatballs, Escargot, Burnt Broccolini, Garlic Bread, Chicken Parm, Radiatori Vodka, Stuffed Mushrooms, and Stromboli. Everything was delicious and would order again. However, the star of the show for me was the Radiatori Vodka, Burnt Broccolini, and Garlic Bread. The Radiatori Vodka was a thick radiatori pasta made in house. The pasta held a lot of the delicious vodka sauce and had just the right amount of spice to it. Even if you aren't a fan of "spicy" you would still enjoy this dish. The Burnt Broccolini was amazing. When our coworker suggested Pelato's, this was the dish that she raved about and she was correct. I didn't realize broccoli could taste this good but they found a way with just the right amount of char and lemon. The Garlic Bread, although sounds basic and plain had a garlic/cheese sauce that was out of this world. One thing to know and the waiter informed us right away is that these are "small plates". The idea is you order several dishes for the table and share. Our waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable and told us what dishes we should order two of so everyone at our table could try. The atmosphere was semi-casual. We went on a Wednesday evening and they were very busy. We had a reservation and I would highly suggest making a reservation before you go. I'm sure they can still get you in without a reservation but seeing how busy they were on a Wednesday I would highly suggest making one before you go.

The restaurant is in a complex of several establishments. The dining room decor is modern with seating on two levels. When we arrived, we had to wait a few minutes to be seated as the restaurant was fairly busy on a Monday night, I assume due to the happy hour special that runs all night. We ordered the bruschetta appetizer to start and some drinks. The appetizer came out promptly and was nicely done, with plentiful helpings of burrata and cherry tomatoes layered with balsamic pearls. The pearls have the appearance of caviar so it was a pretty and flavorful twist. Unfortunately, that was the end of the positives. Our dinner entrees included the chicken parmesan and grilled salmon. Both were overcooked and the salmon in particular (I asked for it to be rare in the center) was so throughly cooked it had a very grainy texture. The sauce was bland and the pasta overly soft. Service was pretty one-note as well, not rude but not particularly attentive either. Dinner ran $120 with tip including two cocktails and one beer. Really disappointing.

It was a warm, toasted, garlicky loaf, but "stuffed" with a sweet, whipped cream cheese. I don't know how chef does it, but when you go here you MUST order this sensation!!! Not to be out done, the arancini. Perfectly toasted balls of rice with a very tangy tomato sauce. It was the perfect pairing with the garlic bread. I would 100% recommend these two together!!!!
