The first time, I had an appointment and had to wait for 45 minutes before the nail tech I booked with can begin working on me. The second time, I was assured I wouldn't have to wait and would be seen right away. I still had to wait 20 minutes. This final time, I called and asked for an appointment time when the nail tech was actually open and available. I stressed the fact that I could not wait. They assured me she would be available. I show up at said time, and was asked to wait next to booth where she was working. I can see she was still working on a full set. The owner then told me she was just polishing, even though I could see she was not ready to polish yet. I was asked to wait. She then tried to get someone else to do my nails. But I am very picky, so I knew this would be a bad idea. I ended up leaving before I wasted another 30 minutes of my life. Overall, they do a decent job. But if you are in a time crunch and make appointments expecting to be seen on time, expect to be disappointed. This is not good place for people who value appointment times and being on time.

In my case, my treatment was painful because of the how long my nails were damaged (about 3 years) but I don't think I would've seen these results visiting a doctor or going to a nail salon. Take some Tylenol before your appointment and don't be discouraged to return! She explains what she does and why it's essential to a healthy nail. So when I needed to get my nails done for a special event and they were booked solid, I panicked! Fortunately a friend told me about this mobile nail tech who could come to my home and do my nails. And that is how I came to get klawed by Kin. Kin arrived 5 minutes early and got right to work. I had originally told her that I wanted press on nails ( she makes her own) and my toes painted a sparkly red for Christmas. However, I changed my mind and decided to just have my natural nails painted, as I was afraid that they would not last until Christmas, as I am very rough on my nails. Although Miss Kin assured me that the nails would last, she agreed to do my natural nails and to come back closer to Christmas to do the press ons. She set about doing a meticulous job on my pedicure, which she ended with a wonderful relaxing foot massage. She then set about shaping and filing my nails and painting them a beautiful, sparkling Ruby red. Again, this was followed by a wonderful hand and arm massage. They have pictures on the wall with cute quotes, and the chairs are wooden seats. They bring water basins to your seat if you're getting a pedicure which was very cute! Taylor did my feet, while Maile joined later to do my nails. The Treat Yo Self Mani comes with a homemade lemon scrub and massage. My feet were really dry, so I hoped they would get off all the dead skin. I love the shape of my nails, and they did spend a lot of time massaging and cleaning. However, I think that it wasn't worth the $53. I'd rather opt for the regular mani pedi for $40 instead. By far the absolute worst service I have ever experienced in nail salons. I was given a nail tech who said it was her second day at that salon but had 2yrs of experience. Bet. Was slightly annoyed because I wanted a black woman but I got the only Asian woman. Fine. 1.5hrs later and she had only finished buffing 2 fingers after HORRIBLY applying acrylic. The acrylic was grossly applied and when I voiced my concerns I was met with push back because I did not allow her to finish her job of buffing... after 1.5hrs or sitting in her chair. I didnt even allow them to put polish on because I was just done with their poor service. The owner/manager came to finish the job but even she didn't notice the uneven length on my nails, didn't even bother to discount my service either. 4 clients walked in after me and walked out before me, 4. Now I'm left having to go to another shop to have my nails fixed. *i couldn't upload the video so i took a couple screen shots.
