Olena was great! She was very upfront about prices and ways to alter my dress…read more It was very easy to set up an appointment. To some people, she might sound a bit cold over the phone, and even at the first meeting, but she is really just a direct person. You drive up to her house, enter through her front door, walk up the stairs, then knock. I'm writing this down because the first time I went, I wasn't sure whether to knock on the door or try it. The dress I brought to her was too big for me, so after telling me what needed to be cinched up/hemmed and giving me a quote, Olena even told me it would be better for me to just buy the dress in a smaller size to save money. It turns out she was able to do something with the straps that allowed the dress to fit more cleanly. She altered the dress that day, and I was able to pick it up the next morning! It was SO quick. She did a wonderful job, and I'm very happy with the end product. It was a bit on the expensive side - I compared prices with my other friends who had to get the same hemming elsewhere and they paid lower. But honestly, with such quick alternations, and Olena doing a great job, I would go back to see her for other dresses.

I brought a pair of pants to be altered and a blazer and a silk shirt to be dry cleaned. The pants…read moreand blazer turned out fine, but they completely ruined the (very expensive) silk shirt I had brought in. When I picked it up it was discolored and very obviously not cleaned evenly (they had completely neglected part of the back and under the collar). I immediately brought this to one of the people working there, Tammy, attention. Not only was she extremely rude, but she kept rolling her eyes at me and sighing loudly. Perhaps the icing on the cake was when she pretended to (conveniently) not understand what I was saying to her and started replying to me in Chinese. I was disappointed not only in the quality of their work, but also the lack of professionalism and complete disregard for customer service. I would not recommend this business to anyone for that reason alone.

The pants wouldn't stay up and there were no belt loops for my suspenders. I finally found some clip-on suspenders, but the experience was far less than ideal. I had to continually hike my pants up and my green underwear would show. Finally I drove home 20 miles to change into something more practical for the reception. I complained when I returned the rental and they told me that all of their pants were like that because they needed to fit everybody. Didn't work for me. If you're going to redesign something, the result should be better and easier to use than the tried and true. I recommend that if you are going to rent a suit here, find some pants and shirt you are comfortable with and rent only the jacket.
