We chatted with a couple of store owners, and they all recommended Riverview as the place to eat. We had already made reservations there weeks before. We loved the town and enjoyed the afternoon; we highly recommend spending a sunny summer or fall day there. Now about the restaurant. We were given a very good table in a private corner so that we could talk freely without disruption. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. We never felt rushed. The ambiance is not the feature here, but there are nice river views and outdoor dining. We sat inside. The food was very good, even if not what I consider haute cuisine. For the first course, I had the watermelon and feta salad; it was nice and refreshing, even if the watermelon was a bit old. For the main course, I had a pork chop with a potato croquette, and my wife had the fish. We both enjoyed our dinners. We finished with two desserts: bread pudding and a Peach melba.
